Qwerty - you can relax - that won't be any time soon! OH wanted to buy gift bags etc as well, but I've got no idea yet what to get anybody it seemed a bit reckless to buy the bags. Can you just imagine - I find the perfect gift for someone and then realise it won't fit in the bag so have to get something else instead!

Nanato - I may well have some wrapping paper left from last year, but I have no idea where it might be and has probably got teddy bears in Santa outfits on it! lol

WeeGranny - if you are travelling to DS's I can understand you wanting to get organised with cards, etc.

We've got a ridiculously early start tomorrow. OH has a hospital appointment for his eye injection at 9 am, but we want to get there a bit earlier if we can - he usually gets seen fairly quickly - so I can bring him back and settle him down before dashing off in the opposite direction for the hairdressers at 12.30. It's a busy old week.

Sore throat now along with headache & sore arm. I only have tomoro to get fit as we're having both GC for a sleepover on Friday. OH under the weather too.

Daisy I really feel for your OH needing injections. I would think they're something you never get used to. Poor thing.

Does anyone know where I can get a little Xmas tree from about 2' tall for a table Dec please? Hope everything goes well for Mr & Mrs Enfys tomoro.x

If its a 2inch one for a decoration usually Garden centres do them for model villages so do Hobby craft

I came here an hour ago, but the site was under maintenance for functionality tests.

Hope those feeling under the weather feel better soon.
Also hope those with hospital appointments go well.

              Good morning all.

Nan2, I'm so sorry, that was the routine site upgrade we have to have done every few weeks. We didn't get round to announcing it on here. We have it done during the night, and it doesn't take long, so usually no one notices

Nana, I hope you feel better soon. It is fear of something like that that has put me off having a flu jab so far! I am not old enough yet, but as my mum's main carer our surgery offer me one . Mum and auntie have had no problems ever though, so maybe I wouldn't.

It's really foggy here just now!!
Just Mums shopping to go and a visit to her. I must get the bulbs into her outdoor pots this afternoon.
A friend is coming to tea tonight.

Have a good day everyone. Keep well!

Frosty morning , Off to Local Hospital this morning see about getting B's Hernia repaired , was supposed to be next week but they rang with a cancellation last night , good in a way as next Wednesday is TOP up day then he wouldn't have much time to recover for appointment on Thursday , this way its not a worry ,

Oma, we ask for it to be done between midnight and 5 am UK time. They must have got it in at the last minute, like Sunday homework

I hope it goes well at the hospital.

                      Morning

Thinking of all those with hospital appointments today or in the near future.

Just put bedding on the line as it WAS sunny and breezy.Clouding over a bit now.

Iโ€™ve got a big pot of veg soup bubbling away so must pop off and check it.

                      Take care everyone.

OH did a quick gardening spurt as the green bin is to be emptied today and contained nothing but a pumpkin!

Well we back , Surgeon is going to write to B's consultant and his Hep Dr to get some advise as his case is so complicated he doesn't want to take any chances , so he may decide to do nothing about the Hernia yet and wait till B's immune system is 100% , It makes sense really , if he does go ahead it will be keyhole surgery . just have to wait and see what his Oncologist advises

That sounds like a very sensible plan. B certainly doesnโ€™t want to risk anything until his immune system can cope. One thing at a time maybe.

I agree best to wait Oma.

Gem. I don't think this is connected with the flu jab, although my arm is still sore. I think it's just a coincidence they both happened together. When we were on holiday I did say to OH that I've never known so many people around us with coughs. I had the jab last yr & it was fine. Don't let me put you off it.

Thanks for the tree tip Oma. I'll take a look next time I'm in Wilk's. It does make sense re B's visit to the hospital. You two are so strong together. We've just had three weeks away Oma...do you think we maybe needed four?๐Ÿ˜‰

Had to cancel GC sleepover tomoro. Don't want to pass this on.๐Ÿ˜ข Have a good rest of the day everyone.
