Enfys - what a lovely day. The buffet lunch was a great idea! It seems to be a universal thrill for dogs - ripping off the wrapping paper.

Your iPad bean bag sounds brilliant. I had a laptop one when Ihad a laptop and that was quite useful, but I found I got very hot! But for an iPad I can see it would be perfect - what a kind, thoughtful present from your GS. Is he still enjoying his job?

The games sound interesting - I didn't know there were such things but it might be something to tempt our teenage GSs from YouTube for an hour or two. Do you have a link, please?

        Good morning.
Oma I’m sorry you and B are under the weather. OH’s cold is hopefully receding but I am now a bit “coldy”

Glad everyone had a happy and successful day yesterday.
.DS1 goes home tonight and tomorrow DS2 is driving us to DDs. He had already arranged a meet up with friends in London on the 28th so instead of travelling up by train or bus he is driving us to DD and then taking the train up to London from there. It only takes half an hour, rail works allowing. We are then staying till the 5th when SIL will take us as far as Reading where I have booked the National Express to Swansea.

Have ve a lovely day ladies

Hope you and B feel better after a days rest Oma.

Daisy, the games are called That’s You and Psyche and you download them from the App Store (free!) onto your iPad/phone. Then do the same on the tv and off you go. That’s You is really funny as it involves taking selfies and drawing on the pictures, I’m sure your gs would like it.

GS is really enjoying his job, everyone is friendly and he says they seem pleased with what he is doing. It involves lots of creative writing which is what he likes so we are hopeful he has found his niche.

                  Good morning Nan2 and Oma.
I'm sorry to hear that you and B are under the weather Oma, get well soon.

We had a good Boxing Day. Mum phoned just before we were setting of to pick her up to say she had an 'upset tummy', didn't want to pass it round etc. I know full well its all stress induced, or maybe even made up, so I persuaded her to come. She had a good day and only ate what she wanted. Feeling she has to eat more than she wants stresses her, but of course she is free to have as much or little as she wants!
A video call from DD3 and SIL was lovely, but made us all, including them, miss each other more!

Today is my auntie's birthday. OH is playing in a golf competition, I will take some flowers to her.
Apart fro that a nice doing noting type day here

Have a good day everyone, and feel better poorlies.

Good morning all. We had a good Christma despite not seeing eldest DS over the Christmas period. It was late when we left DS and DIL's Christmas night and by the time we had got home I had a migraine from hell. Not being able to buy the medication I need for some months now all I had to take was ordinary painkillers that don't even take the edge off it, I have not felt that unwell for several years, Christmas night and Boxing day were just a blur.

Oma and B I hope you are feeling better today.
How are our other ladies and respective OH' and family, all well I hope?

DS and DIL brought me and OH the Alexa Plus with a light bulb. It was easy to set up and we have the light bulb in the standard lamp in the sitting room. I have ordered a bulb for the hall. When we come in from a night out we have to stumble in the dark from the front door to the light switch that is situated halfway in the hall, now I will just have to ask Alexa to turn the light on!

                    Have a good day everyone

I had an Elexa plus for my birthday Mini, love it.

I slept until the postman woke me up with a parcel at 10 am and feel like going to bed again. Very busy two days, I cooked Christmas dinner for my son's family although my dil took over at the end as she could see I was struggling. We joined the family next door for the evening and then Boxing morning I cleaned up my kitchen and stored all the leftovers, need to sort those out today. Boxing Day afternoon we went to DS's he had cooked 10 curries and invited family and old friends. It was lovely to see again all his old friends going back to his school days. I certainly feel my age today.

Hope the poorly ones managed to enjoy Christmas and are feeling a lot better.

A quick hello from me. Guests (DS1 & Co) have gone, having a quick sandwich, then taking Eva to the paddock, then on to DS2's for GD2's 5th birthday! I'll be back later, but just wanted to say 'hello'. xxx

Good Lord Plant, what a lot you have done, time to take it easy and put your feet up for couple of days I think!

What a good idea the Alexa light bulb is Enfys!

Auntie was pleased to see me and on good form. I have written more about it on YEO thread.
This afternoon I have sat by the fire, watched some TV and written a story

Hahaha! The Alexa light bulb is good. My DS2 has put them in both girls' bedrooms, and it means GD2 can 'switch' her light on from the landing without having to go into a dark room which would frighten her (there might be monsters!)

Plant - my goodness, no wonder you're tired, young lady! I do hope you're going to take it easy for a few days and give yourself chance to recover!

Oma - I'm sorry you and B aren't well - I hope having the GCs cheered you both up a bit, but all us Grannies prescribe No Housework for a week!!! xx

Mimi - what an awful end to Christmas Day for you. It seems incredible that you can no longer get the medication that would actually help your migraines! Enjoy your Alexa.

We've got an Alexa - she lives in the kitchen, but to be honest, she's often out of action because she can't connect to the internet! We do live in the Dark Ages here!

Clover - enjoy your time with DD. I'm glad you were able to arrange the transport ok.

Enfys, thank you so much for the information about the games. We will be able to play them at DS2's and they sound fun. We can't run a smart tv at home until we get a better internet connection!

Gem - I'm so pleased everything went well with your mum. I know what a difference it must make. xx
