Nanto, so do I. Somehow I feel a bit responsible for her. I'm cross with myself that I didn't think about offering to walk Eva that way, but it would have made us late for her hydro appointment, and you only get a 10 minute leeway.

It's gone cold here this evening. Our little heatwave is over for now.

Gem, I hope you're not too exhausted after your busy day with the boys, and you manage to sleep well tonight.

Only plans for today is hubby meeting his pal for their Friday meet up.
Plenty for me to do while he's out, to keep me out of mischief.

Good morning everyone.

I never got back here yesterday!
GS2 was here all day. We collected little E at lunch time then we all went to the library, had lunch in the cafe there and spent some time there. We hoped to go to the park after that but by then it was drizzling so we came straight back here.
It's lovely having both boys and they get on very well together. An age gap of over 6 years can make pleasing them both a bit of a challenge at times though

Sun out here at the moment Nan2, so I hope it's not as cold. It was definitely a lot cooler yesterday.

Oma, how are you feeling today? MIL is bad for your health. It's a pity someone can't tell her enough is enough and her shopping will be delivered to her from now on.

Daisy,I can understand your concern about that lady, but hopefully she found her way to the right place, or else someone noticed her missing and found her.

OH is meeting a golf friend for coffee this morning. Once little E goes home I have no other plans . I cancelled my aqua class as I have booked in to the Sunday deep water one . I have given it a miss for a few weeks and want to try to get back to it.

MIL will not entertain the idea of having her shopping delivered,
We have all offered to sort it for her but she won't ,

We have to go to the bank this morning but as our branch in our shopping mall closed down we now have to trail to the Metro centre,
It's a pain but we need to see the manager so have no option but to go.

Good Friday morning, everyone. Don't the weeks speed by!

Nanto, flowers always make the world feel a bit better, and this morning's are very pretty. You can get much more done when your OH is out, can't you. I always try to do catching up jobs on Wednesdays when my OH is usually out.

Gem, It's lovely GS2 and 3 get on so well, but I know what you mean about pleasing what is essentially two different stages of childhood. I'm sure you were exhausted after yesterday. It was a pity about the rain as I always think it's easier to keep children occupied outside and they can run round and use up all the energy we wish we still had. Well done on going back t the deep water Aqua class. I know it's a challenge for you, but it's important to look after your own well-being. I hope S enjoys her get together with her golf friend.

Oma, I wonder if your MIL might change her mind if B was unable to drive her to the supermarket and she had to take a taxi? It would cost a lot more than a supermarket delivery charge. Goodness, you are going to see a real live bank manager? They are rarer than the proverbial hen's teeth these days. The last time we saw a bank manager he confessed that he wasn't qualified to do what we wanted. It was doubly frustrating because my OH does have that particular qualification.

It's fairly sunny this morning, but definitely a bit cooler. OH and our next door neighbour are pressure washing our patios today. They work well together and enjoy each other's company. I'm on coffee duty.

Quite nice weather well at least it isn’t raining. I am feeling a lot better today. I need to pop down the hill to M&S food hall to return a parcel. I have kept away from the family so I don’t know really how DD and Sil’s holiday went.

Gemini, It is nice for you that the boys get on. I used to prefer the deep end exercise. We used to play Ring a Ring of Roses. I think it is excellent exercise.

Daisy, it is lovely that you have nice neighbours you can share jobs with.

We haven't seen this bank manager before ,
She was lovely didn't rush us and we had a good pleasant chat,
We went to M&S food hall while we were there for a few things,
It's quite chilly in the shade.

We then went to next just to look around the home dept,
We came out with a new sideboard for the dinning room and a highland coo ornament 😁
Didn't intend buying anything , but there you go🙄

Oma, I wonder if your were getting the same things from M&S Food Hall as Plant? What are you like, going into Next to look round and getting a new sideboard. The Highland Coo I can understand. Have you now got a sideboard to get rid of? It's good to hear your Bank Manager was helpful and pleasant. Perhaps we're with the wrong bank.

I've had a morning of online shopping, really exciting things like car cleaner foam, rubber feet for plant pots, air fryer filters and other stuff, all about the same level of boring.

I'm just going to see how the patio cleaning team is getting on.

I polished and hoovered, did the ironing and cleaned the extractor fan over the hob,while hubby was out.

Nanto, a very productive morning for you.

The patio cleaning team have done well. They finished our patio, which is much larger, and have done over half of our neighbour's, which is harder to do because he never sealed it. They should finish it tomorrow morning.

I spent a lot of time in the kitchen supplying coffee, tea, snacks, a sandwich and beer lunch and lots of encouragement.

Plumber just called on his way home from work.
He wanted to take some last minute measurements, because he wants to order the shower and screen this weekend.

Oma,we've done that before,browsed in a shop and ended up buying something.
Last time we did it,we bought new bedside cabinets.

Oma, the 'essential' online shopping also included two more table runners. I was so pleased with the Easter one I thought it would be nice to have options for both the table and the sideboard. I may have started a new addiction! I was spoilt for choice.

I probably won't be on Refreshments tomorrow as the patio team will be working next door. They've moved everything back on to our patio so that's all done.

Nanto, your plumber sounds very efficient. Are you looking forward to having it all done, at least looking forward to the end result. The process is just something you have to get through. Have you still got those bedside cabinets.
