    It's like summer isn't it Nan2?!

Plant, it must have seemed very quiet today without all the GGCs around. Cheltenham will seem a lot quieter for your GS3 after London. Is he looking forward to that?

Gem, doing two days work in one at the library must have been quite hard going, especially without your manager and a helper who doesn't normally work there. I'm glad you got on well together. Will you be getting a new manager? I feel so very sorry for your OH missing the golf competition. She has played though all sorts of bad weather, and to miss a glorious day like today is enough to make anyone feel fed up. I hope she didn't overdo the gardening though.

Nanto, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your trip into town. Did you buy anything special?

Oma, I'd left organising Easter decorations till the very last minute, so everything came from Amazon, even the paper napkins because Sainsburys didn't have the colour I wanted. So it was Amazon Prime to the rescue!

OH's trip to the GP was interesting! First of all there was no-one on reception so after waiting a while OH wandered round till he found the GP. The GP is a good doctor, but sadly lacking a bedside manner. He looked at OH's record and commented he hadn't seen OH since 2005! They discussed the list of symptoms. The GP dismissed the hospital's Eye Department comments as "they only know about eyes". OH's BP was fine - all within normal range. Cramps - well you can't do anything about them. Feeling tired etc - the legacy of the flu in December. And so it went on. In the end he's sending OH for a blood test. When I had a look at the form I noticed the reason was TATT.

The washing dried nicely in the sunshine and breeze today. I did some gardening after lunch, and took Eva out about 4 o'clock. Our neighbours were getting back from walking the dog at the same time so they came in for a chat and a drink.

The first day of the road closure has been chaotic with visitors to the campsites removing/driving round "Road Closed" signs. The gas people had closed off one end of the loop round our estate so that couldn't be used by through traffic. They eventually re-opened it and then our estate became like a race track. We've asked for some "Slow" signs urgently. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

        Good morning ladies

It's forecast to be another nice day.

        Daisy, interesting doctors appointment indeed.
Hope you get an answer from his blood test.
I didn't buy anything special in town, but got the bit of shopping i wanted.
I was very good and didn't go to the butchers or buy any frozen food, because there was no way could have got anything in either freezer.
Met hubby and his pal for coffee before we came home.

DS1 off today,,so he his coming for dinner.

Off to see if I have enough washing to make it worthwhile putting the washer on.

          Good morning ladies.

Nan2, nice to see DS and he will appreciate dinner I bet

Daisy, hopefully your OHs tiredness is just an after effect of the flu, plus winter dragging on and not getting any younger as they say! Good idea to check bloods though.
There will not be a manager at the library which is why our manager had to move branches. I will write a thread about it all later!
I do not envy you all the gas work disruption. They are still on our road but beyond us now.

Aqua, then meeting my two 'school friends' for lunch, the first time this year for me. I had to pull out of the last one.
OHs friend is coming round this morning, I had hoped she would invite her out for coffee or at least to their house, but at least its something!

Another nice weather day I hope.

            Morning ladies

            Nanto
It's always tempting to buy more stuff even though you know the freezers are full isn't it.
            I bet DS appreciate's lunch .

            Gem
At least S gets to see and have a chat with her friend but it would have done her good getting out wouldn't it.

DD picking B up at 10.30 he has appointment with eye specialist at the hospital and as they will be putting drops in he won't be able to drive.

I did intend doing all sorts of things this morning but we were both lying talking till gone 4 and I was up again at 6 so I'm very tired and have a headache,
Things will have to wait .

Good morning, I am looking through all the posts! I do hope that your DH is feeling better now and that it is the ageing thing!

Gem, has S heard anything yet from the doctor?

Nanto, my freezer is very small with hardly anything in it.

              It is DS2 birthday today.

I have a hospital appointment tomorrow, must see in the mail if the QR code has arrived.

                Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

It's a beautiful sunny day and lovely and warm.

Nanto, it's frustrating when the freezers are full. I'm sure DS1 will enjoy his dinner with you. You want to get all the washing done when it's a nice day, don't you, but no point in runing a half-empty machine either.

Oma, no wonder you're tired on so little sleep. Take it easy today. Everything will wait. I hope B gets on ok at the eye hospital.

Lizzie, very happy birthday to your DS2. I hope he has a good day. I think your hospital appointment system. is more advanced than ours, using QR codes. What happens to people who don't have a smart phone?

I'm getting on with washing today - it will dry nicely.

I am answering on my phone. Daisy we need QR codes and digital ID daily, if you haven’t a smart phone you show an ID when entering the hospital, there is always help!

I washed a load of darks. They dried lovely outside.

Got the garden done. I've cut the grass and hubby did the hedge and made sure everything is tidy.

Bathroom boss rang and said they are starting on the 20th. I knew they would start on my birthday.

Lizzie, happy birthday to your DS2.

Good morning. According to the forecast its going to be colder today.
Yesterday was just like a summers day.
So glad we got the garden done.

No plans for today as yet, but that could change.

It was lovely and mild this morning. Got some washing dried outside.
Turned quite chilly at dinner time.(our dinner time)
                          Raining a bit now.

                            Took MIL shopping ,
We took her to Costas for a drink and a toastie before we went shopping ,
She chose a hog roast toastie, well she complained it was tasteless , greasy , then complained that they didn't have salt ,
The cup of coffee was too big , she didn't like where we were sitting or the seats,

To top it all we got to Morrisons and every chill cabinet and freezer was empty as there was a technical problem,
Couldn't get her milk or butter , or salmon ,
                            No cooked meat etc,
The only freezer on was the ice cream freezer ,
She bought 4 boxes of Cornetto's 16 in total said that will last her the week 😱

Bought plenty of cakes and sweets but little else

Said we would to go to Sainsbury's but wouldn't ,
By then I didn't feel good so I didn't try to persuade her ,
                            I had enough .

Oh the joy of a Thursday with her 🙄😁

I will check in properly and catch up tonight!

Nanto, you did well getting the garden done yesterday, it's not as nice today. Tinkerbell would be shivering in that flimsy outfit. . Typical that the bathroom work starts on your birthday. I hope the workmen know to bring you a nice birthday cake or a big box of chocolates.

Oma, your MIL certainly pushes her luck. I bet your heart sank when you saw the empty freezer and chill cabinets. She will be fed up with Cornettos if that's all she's eating next week.

Gem, two lively boys must keep you busy. I hope you're having a good day.

I ran out of time this morning. I took Eva out for a walk before we went to her hydro session, and I got stopped by a very frail and rather confused lady who wanted directions to "the path". There's a network of little paths from our estate, so I tried to find out which path she wanted, and all she could tell me was "you can go straight across" and there are a lot of gates. She didn't know where to. She didn't want to go into the village though. I felt she probably shouldn't be out on her own, still less wandering round little pathways in the Forest. She was also worried that the lady living opposite us "had gone". She said she'd seen her when she was here two years ago. I could see her car wasn't on the drive so I said she's probably at work. Then she said something about all the lady's dogs and I realised she meant the previous owner of that house, who moved about 9 or 10 years ago! Anyway, after quite a lot of discussion I directed her down a path which comes out by a hotel and there's another path which leads to the allotments, or she could walk along the road towards the village. I felt it was safer than sending her off into woodland. Some time later we were finally on our way out and there she was, heading for the village. She clearly had no phone, no bag, wearing leggings and a t-shirt. I just hope she got back safely to where she's staying. If I'd had more time I would have offered to walk with her. It was much later when I wondered if she had wandered out of a care home and there would be people worried about her.
