I'm pleased S's car passed , it's not long since you had to pull out for tyres is it ,
Good of her friend to take her to pick it up , saves you the drive,xx

    Daisy
How rude of That man , pushing your trolly he must have seen you,

I'm pleased you were able to get a refund on the unused meds , they aren't cheap are they,
We have done the same, gotten to the hospital and don't have the necessary forms.
Luckily like you they were always able to print off another.

It will be difficult keeping Eva still when she's had her operation I bet😁
We haven't heard from MIL today so I'm assuming she's ok.

B ordered my new fridge freezer it's coming Monday ,
He took all the old flooring to the tip today , booked two trips , one this morning and one this afternoon .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

I haven’t been to the tip for a while so I don’t know if we have to book a slot. We have quite good house collection.

Village hall OAP’s lunch today, very nice meat pie. My son popped in with a present for Sil but I was just going out so wasn’t able to have much time with him.

Good news you haven't had a call from Mil Oma, long may it continue.

Lizzie, so glad you weren't hurt. It could have been nasty.

Daisy, the man probably did see you,but didn't care.
Glad Eva seemed a bit better.

        Gem, glad OH's car passed.

Plant, glad you had a nice meal at the village hall.

Oma, glad you haven't had a call from MIL.

The only visitor we had today was Bro in law at 5'oclock.

Oma, I bet. you're looking forward to your new fridge/freezer coming next Monday. Are they going to unpack it for you etc? I remember it took OH ages to get our fridge level when we got a new one. I think it's quite possible that awful man didn't see me - most people seemed to be walking round like zombies!

Was B tired after two trips to the tip? It always seems like hard work when we go. You're right about meds for pets being expensive. The one today was a very small bottle, £43. I think Eva will be well sedated for about two weeks after her op, and we have a large crate for her. I must admit I'm dreading it if she isn't sedated because she's used to having the run of the house and garden.

Plant, your OAP lunch sounds delicious, and you can't beat a good pie on a cold winter's day. I hope you can catch up with your son another day. Have you heard from your cleaner yet?

Nanto, only one visitor today, but I'm sure it was good to see your BIL. Did he stay long?

Eva and I had a nice walk late afternoon. We saw one of our neighbours with her dog, and she and Eva said hello very nicely, and we saw barky dog on the other side of the road, a young Lab who really wanted to say hello, but I didn't want to risk Eva's leg being hurt, and a couple of other dogs we know by sight. It must have been that time of day. I was quite tired when we got back, and OH did most of the cooking. He's still not properly better from that attack of the flu, but he's making progress.

We've avoided an early start tomorrow. OH's car has to go in to the garage and the garage owner very kindly picked it up this afternoon. OH will have to collect it though. I've got a telephone consultation tomorrow afternoon. It's timed for 3 pm, but could be any time, so we may have to wait until after that to go and collect his car.

Good morning, Plant, a good pie is what my son enjoys when he is in the UK! They are there now, in Leeds at them moment so he will be enjoying his pies!

There has been a keen frost again.

I had a busy day yesterday, it was nice to get to know the young lady that is now in charge of the office group. After that I had to go to the next village, I bought an exercise step on a local site, I had one for years then got rid of it, they are handy for moving my legs when I can't get to the gym, I am prepared for being snowed in again! This one is much neater than the one I had, I can store it better. I called in to see the GD's, GD1 was feeling a little better, she looked it as well, she said she has slept a lot!! GD2 had just arrived home from school. On my way home I dropped some things off at the second hand place, save me going another day.

I have a scan later on today for my leg.

Daisy, Eva will be wondering why she can't run around! When is the operation? Vet costs are the same here, I have read that there is some sort of scheme in Rotterdam for people with low incomes that have pets, how that works I do not know.

Good morning Lizzie, and all who follow.

Daisy, he only stayed for an hour.

Lizzie, hope the scan goes well later.

Its raining, but i think we are going into town.
I'll just browse in the shops, hubby will meet his pal.
It gets us out for an hour or two.

                Morning Nanto, ladies.

                Nanto
                What a cute graphic 😁
It's dark and damp but not raining so far,
Enjoy your trip to town, will you have lunch out ?

                Lizzie

Pleased to hear GD feeling a little better ,
I love a nice pie but don't eat them often , my favourite is chicken curry pie ,
Does your DS eat meat pies or vegetarian?

                Good luck with the scan.

                Daisy
Poor Eva , I guess she's ok in the crate so will be ok when she needs to go in?
Storm hates them , we had to change dog walkers as the one we had crated him when she came he was very unhappy about that,
Plus he doesn't like to be amongst too many dogs and she walked about 6 at a time.

I'm not sure if they will take the packing away with them when they deliver the freezer it's coming direct from the manufacturer,
                Not sure how they work,
It will just go to the tip if not ,
SIL is going to come over and help if needed.

How kind of them to pick J's car up save you going out.
I was talking to my post man yesterday he brought a parcel and threw it into my hall as he didn't want to get too close,
He's just back to work after having the same,
He said it's taking ages to get his strength back and one day he's fine the next he's exhausted,
He's trying to avoid being to close to anyone incase he passes it on.

                Plant
                Did your cleaner turn up?
Sounds like a lovely lunch you had 😁

I'm off to Sainsbury's this morning for a few things nothing much planned otherwise,
Jobs to be getting on with but nothing important.

                    Good morning everyone.

Keep dry if you can Nan2.

Not very nice weather for your DS to be in Leeds Lizzie!

Daisy a supermarket trip like that reminds us why we shop online. What a rude man.

Oma, does B enjoy tip runs? My OH does for some unfathomable reason.

A wet and stormy morning, the golf course is closed. OH wasn't expecting to play having seen the forecast.
I will go and do my library morning but no other plans today. So far anyway.
A toddler bed and mattress is being delivered this afternoon, so we would need to be here for that anyway. Little E has been sleeping at our house on a cot mattress with cushions by the side, in his dinosaur sleeping bag. Sleeping well and with no complaint. It's likely he will be staying more often with or without his parents so I want him to be in something a bit more permanent.

Well we went to Sainsbury's and it's blowing a gale , lashing down with rain and very very dark,
Came into the street and several recycling bins on their sides,

Sainsbury's had most of the doors blocked off , only one open because of the wind.

I think GS is traveling back to Uni today , always a worry when it's like this.

                        Gem
                        I think it's a good idea to have a little bed for E ,
He will as you say be spending more nights with you for the foreseeable future,
I bet he is really excited having his own bed at grandmas😁

I bet E will love his new bed.

No trip into town. Where hubby and pal go has been cancelled due to the weather.
We might go tomorrow if the weather improves.

Lizzie, glad GD is feeling a bit better.

A rather late good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I'm sorry we haven't rolled out some better weather for your DS's trip to the UK. But it's ok here on the south coast today despite horrendous rain yesterday. You will have your own little gym at home soon - exercise bike and step. What would you like next? Pleased to hear GD1 is feeling better. Youngsters recover much faster do't they.

Oma, Eva was ok with a crate when we first got her, but we never used one for her, so ten years on, I don't know. Poor Storm. I'm glad your DD found out he wasn't happy. I hope you got your shopping done.

We were very lucky the garage picked up OH's car yesterday. Our village was flooded this morning after so much rain. We couldn't have got the car to the garage in the next village. Someone videoed a very optimistic driver trying to drive through the watersplash (a ford at the end of the high street, with posts marking the water depth) and the car was just lifted up and carried backwards until it crashed into the railings of the footbridge. There are people in the village who are very willing to put out warning signs and 'road impassble' signs but so far the County Highways department hasn't given permission.

I'll pop back later - OH has got lunch ready.

I have been to the physio , I have put it off for 15 years but he now advices me to have a knee replacement. I am dreading it because of the lipedema, will it heal, will it make it worse etc etc. At least the exercise bike will come in handy!!!! I got a call this afternoon from a young man, he is coming on thursday to assemble it for me.

It has just started to rain. Still a very cold wind.

Strangely enough our weather has been quite quiet today, little bit of rain first thing. I hadn’t planned to go out anyway. Dil has delivered two jigsaws to me, not that I am that interested in mastering them.

Gemini, I am sure your GS will be thrilled with his new bed. He will be very ready to go to bed.

Daisy, sounds like bad flooding your way.

I used to enjoy tip runs, the site men were always very helpful to this old lady. I liked the tidy garage when I got back.

Oma, trip to Sainsbury’s didn’t sound very nice. Stay safe.
