Wind has calmed down ,it was bad last night.

I read last night, on the Internet, that it's going to be warm this week. It said it will be warmer than Ibiza.Mmm we shall see.

No plans for us today, we'll take the day as it comes.

Our garden is full of leaves and twigs,
The blossom has blown of some trees .

We are going to DDs for a family dinner at two,
GS had to drive down to Uni yesterday to take some recording equipment back he borrowed,
He has been in Durham cathedral recording the organ music,

He will drive back this morning.

We had a nice time at DD2s yesterday. Lovely to be all together including SIL2's dad. Little E was very excited by it all!

Today our friend SS (originally OH's golf friend now one of my aqua pals) is coming for lunch
I wish we were having a traditional roast lamb meal. We are in fact having sweet and sour chicken, OH's speciality. It's really good but not a roast dinner! We have enough for three in the freezer, so only rice to cook.
I may make an apple and blackberry crumble for afters.

It's a dull chilly day. It doesn't matter to us but I am sad for both DDs 2 and 3 who are both having outdoor based things are their homes with friends.

We had rain overnight, and it's still quite windy, but the sun is shining.

DS2 and family are coming for an Easter roast - leg of lamb and the usual trimmings. I've made an apple tart and there are fresh strawberries for the GDs - their favourite, with ice cream.

GD1 invited GS1 and his family to lunch, the sun came out and they were able to play in the garden and do yet another Easter egg hunt. H was collected by her daddy, she is with him for the night and tomorrow. She went off happily. DS phoned, he and the family are popping over tomorrow.

Daisy, enjoy the Easter roast tomorrow, I love roast lamb.

Gemini, I am sure you will be having family time. Weather good for us today, supposed to be good all round tomorrow.

DD made a lovely dinner as always .
The table looked lovely and on our place mats were the smallest Easter eggs we have ever seen , so cute😁

Plant, we were lucky with the weather today, weren't we. Although the wind was still very cold the sun was most welcome. You are having a lovely family time with get togethers today and tomorrow. Our DS2 and family came today. It was great to see all4 of them. So often we only see them here and there as they're all busy. But today we were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. Even the two dogs ended up going to sleep under the table.

I cooked a whole leg of lamb, and there is plenty left for tomorrow, so if the weather's ok we can get on with some gardening and not have to do much cooking.

Oma, your DD's table looks beautiful and very Easter-ish. I never thought to take a photo, but I got two small baskets and put a variety of little eggs etc in them, plus little fluffy rabbits and other bits and pieces, plus their main egg and main present. We put up some Easter decorations and I got a table runner with flowers and rabbits on. It was all very last-minute, but having missed out on Christmas decorations I wanted to make the house feel more festive.

Gem, I hope you had a lovely time with your friend, and enjoyed your non-traditional lunch. It sounds delicious. I hope the weather didn't spoil things for DD2 and DD3 with their outdoor activities.

Daisy I'm glad you got some easter decorations, I remember the problem with the Christmas ones.

We had a nice lunch and chat with our friend and she brought us a Thorntons Easter egg to share The rest of the family got their egg hunts in. After a miserable morning the late afternoon and evening were sunny.

Aqua for me this morning. I think 2 of my 3 aqua friends will be there so we will have coffee.
We need some shopping but I think OH will do that this morning.
No other plans as far as I know.

Everything that needed doing is done ,
B has just put up a new wall light above my chair,
The other one was far too bright it had those little halogen lights in so couldn't put a dimmer kind of bulb in ,

I was just in the middle of drying my hair when in his wisdom he decided to turn the electricity off 🙄
Luckily my hair dries quickly and it wasn't a big problem, just annoying when he knew I was drying it.
He said he never thought about it.

His forehead with the cream isn't looking good at the moment it's at that scabby stage , it looks like he has been hit with something ,
He nearly was this morning mind you 😁

Not a lot on today will pop down Lidl for fresh bread and we are low on fruit but don't need much else.

My sister had 15 at hers Easter egg hunting grand children great grand children, plus their parents.

Your table sounds so pretty. Pitty you didn't take a photo I love to see people's tables,
DD always makes a effort ,
The whole room had decorations scattered around ,
We were all fascinated with the miniature eggs she had done,
Where she finds these boxes and stuff i just don't know but she does.

Being with your DS and family must have been lovely ,
Just to sit down and eat all together makes your heart swell with pride doesn't it.

You certainly won't need to cook today 😁
