Gem, sorry, I do hope that the gas men have soon finished their work. It is still very cold here, I will have a day at home, well afternoon as our lift is having its MOT, again, only a year ago that it was placed.

I braved the wind yesterday afternoon and went to the village and treated myself to an E reader, that is the speaker and E reader within a fortnight, I must be spoiling myselfl

I must say I love the speaker, M from next door was here the other day, she is going to order one, nothing unusual, whatever I get she will order the same!!! GD1 says I should see it as a compliment .

I hope that you are feeling better today Daisy. I thought of you all the other evening, I happened to have the news on and they were saying that the vet prices are going to be controlled.

I can't even talk about the gas situation it is stressing me too much. I will update tonight, maybe!
Enough to say all is chaos and we have already had an escaping cat (now caught)
I have a massage this morning. From there I was to pick up little E from nursery, fairly close by. SIL only told me last night that E has a hospital eye check this morning then will be dropped off here. So, I will come back here and if I'm not back SIL will have to wait until I am back. No one tells us anything!

To add to all this we have a vets appointment for both cats to have their vaccination boosters this afternoon.

I have just been to take a library book back, a bitter cold wind!!!

DS1 phoned, he and DIL have been in Germany all week for his work, DIL works in the hotel room whilst he is at meetings etc. On their way home tomorrow they are going to do a lot of shopping!!!! A lot of the Dutch cross the border for shopping and petrol! Supermarkets etc are almost half price compared to here, the same goes for the chemist etc.

He was telling me they are going to a concert in the summer, Margate!! It is Chris Isaak, very good, they have seen him a few times, now GD2 is a huge fan so they are all going to a concert on the beach! Then moving on to the Oxford area for a visit to the Harry Potter museum? They certainly get around.

The sun is shining now, one would think it was warm until they get outdoors!

It was very cold here earlier,but the wind has calmed down now.
Quite pleasant in the sun.

Nanto, I was telling DS1, he and DIL take daily walks through a nature reserve, he thought he saw a pelican the other day, DIL told him not in this country, he did see one though!

Been to Drs, he examined me and said the murmur was quite distinctive,
Took bloods and requesting an emergency appointment with Cardiology,
Emergency at our hospital can be weeks,
He said hopefully as long as it's not a valve involved it will be treated with meds,
Either way we will get it sorted,

This Dr is fairly new to our practice and I haven't seen him before,
Called Dr Ahmed,
Only young and such a lovely man ,
Put me at ease instantly , very caring and smiley,

Stopped one of my BP drugs and said like the hospital take it easy till they know the cause.

Good Thursday afternoon everyone.

Just a quick hello till later. The vet was pleased with Eva and doesn't want to see her again unless we're worried. Off tohydro therapy now and then taking her to DS2's because I've got a hospital appointment tomorrow.

Gem, you must feel at the end of your tether. The awful thing is when you've got such a major anxiety, and in your case two, everything else going wrong causes more stress than it should. I know how you feel, and send hugs. xxx

You're right Daisy, it's just one step too far! I'm feeling emotionally and physically exhausted. Little E overnight as usual .I have cancelled tomorrows aqua.
Heating is back on and meter outside in a box. Pavement still dug up though and no clue how long for. We have to find random places to park our cars as no one can get into the driveway.

No sign of either cat. We will be cancelling the 4.45 appointment at this rate

It's cold here Lizzie despite the sun. Little E and I have just come in from sandpit play in the garden and despite our coats I am chilly!
