This is up the coast at Seaham harbour , about a 10 minutes drive away ,
We have some lovely coast lines and beaches that we don't visit enough.

Plant, it sounds as though you are on the mend. Take it easy, though.

Nanto, I've done that - thought I'd been online and hadn't.

Oma, those benches are beautiful. What a lovely idea. We're the same. We're only about 10-15 miles to the beach but rarely go.

Gem, it was sensible to put off the deep water aqua if you weren't sure. You will enjoy your three sessions of ordinary classes next week. And you got towels washed and dried.

We ended up doing some gardening today. Mostly it was OH, but it's good to see some progress and we're slowly taking the wraps off the tender plants.

I took Eva out at tea time, and found a little path I've never noticed before - we've lived here over 40 years! I had to get a map out to see where it came out.

          Good morning. Nice bright morning.

          No plans for me.

Hubby is trying to repair a Stihl strimmer. He's been at it a few days now. Neighbour has said not to worry if it can't be repaired, but Hubby won't give up easily.
He keeps looking at different problems on YouTube but thinks he might have to admit defeat.

Wow Daisy, amazing finding another path after 40 years.

            Morning Nanto, ladies.

            Nanto
If YouTube can't solve the problem nothing can, but I admire hubby not giving up

            Daisy
Isn't life strange , in 40 years you never knew the path was there,
A little adventure along it is in order I think .

I think you were wise to cancel,
Allow yourself to feel better before you tackle that again .

Nothing much on today ,Next delivering my sideboard this morning, plus we had to ring the plumber,
Our downstairs flush has broken again,
Lord knows why it's always that one .

              Good morning ladies.

Nan2, my OH is like that, finds it hard to admit a thing cant be repaired and yes Your Tube is often helpful. I will be saying Just buy a new one! Sometimes you have to admit defeat, but I'm sure it's a good feeling when you succeed and give something a new lease of life.

How interesting to find a new path Daisy. We are wary of the paths in our village, of which there are many, as once we took a shortcut back from our friends house and got totally lost

Aqua for me this morning. I am going to a friend for coffee this afternoon. A friend I worked with who has been supportively texting me since DD3 became ill. Time to meet up again.
              Tesco delivery late afternoon.
I want to give OH some more reflexology, that may be this afternoon, or more likely tomorrow.

Sun is out and for now the wind has dropped. Have a good day everyone.

Our posts crossed Oma. How annoying about the flush.

                  Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, my OH is exactly the same. He just won't give up on anything. He's just rebuilt the trailer - there's just the metal parts of the old one. It does look very nice (for a trailer) but it's taken hours. One thing he finally gave up on after about 4 years was our petrol driven lawn mower. It was over 40 years old and eventually even OH admitted defeat. He put it on a selling site "for parts" and someone from East Anglia came all the way over to buy it!

Oma, it will be lovely to get your nice new sideboard in place. Don't forget to take a photo. Toilet flushes are a nightmare. Our ensuite one is so hard to press I can't do it. But to put a new one in would mean removing the tiled top, which is quite easy, but would need sealing when it's put back. OH is reluctant to do it, but he doesn't have the problem using it!

Gem, I'm sure a reflexology session would help OH. She's lucky to have an expert in-house. Enjoy your Aqua this week. How lovely to have such a supportive friend. It makes a huge difference. I can understand getting lost on little paths. Before now I've gone exploring and ended up a long way from where I'd parked the car and had to ring OH to come and rescue me! I use the compass on my phone now, and that helps, plus I've got a book called "How to read a tree" and understanding how and why a tree or woodland grows as it does is really helpful. I've still got a lot to learn though! I've noticed Eva has a much better sense of direction than me.

It's bright and sunny at the moment, so I'm off to do some gardening.

We have just gotten some sad news,
Aunty Ingrid who we always stayed with in Germany,
                    Passed away this morning,
She had been in a home for some months with Alzheimer's but died of Pneumonia and Covid.

Bs mam is very upset , she's the last now ,

B said to her to remember Ingrid would not of known what was happening to her and she died peacefully, that's what mattered.

Sorry to hear this Oma. I’m sure MIL must be very upset as well as B and the rest of her family. B is right in what he told his Mam, she wouldn’t have realised. I presume she was an elderly lady?

Oma, I'm sorry to hear about Aunty Ingrid. Please give my and J's condolences to B. I think you and all her family will remember her with affection, and that is a measure of her kindness and sense of fun. xxx
