Cleaner should be arriving any minute, we shall see.

No plans for today, GD2 is next door with our new baby, I shall go in and see them whilst cleaner (fingers crossed) is here.

Daisy, there was a programme mentioning vets prices, apparently they are owned by a consortium.

Oma, hope all is well and quiet with Mil, perhaps she is happy now with arrangements (did you say pigs might fly)

Gemini, I am sure your auntie is always pleased to see you. How did the new bed and cover go with GS? .

      Had my injection this afternoon,
It's aching but that should stop in a day or two,
My Dr is a lovely man and so gentle,
You wait ages for an appointment with him he is so popular.

I just had a brown dye put on my hair this morning, I'm a bit sick of the red now and I want to gradually let the grey come through ,
So we agreed each dye will be lighter than the previous to let the grey take over, unless I change my mind that is😁

Did your cleaner turn up, is she any good?
      How is the baby?

What did E think of his bed😁

I've just had a cup of tea and two slices of malt loaf with best butter,
Ages since I have had malt loaf.

Good morning, now I have the bug that the GD's had, to be expected!!

I made a huge container of fruit salad for them yesterday afternoon, I went to the Lidl after the man had done my exercise bike, which went really well, I got lots of fruit, I came back and did the salad then took them the rest so they have plenty of vitamins now! GD2 was so pleased when she saw what I had made!! I always used to do it when they were here, she said "nan, that is just what we need!" I told her they would have to eat it and not let it waste, she said "Not a problem!" She was feeling , and looking, a lot better yesterday, GD2 was at college, she still has a sore throat now and again, apart from that she is back to normal.

Later on GD2 phoned, she was so excited, she had to tell someone, they had an English exam on Tuesday, they had to listen to a lot of interviews with different English accents then answer the questions, she said with watching BBC and English films etc they were easy to her, she got the results yesterday, 35 out of 36 were right, the best in the class, she was so pleased!!!.

Apart from that, not much going on,I won't be going to the gym, I don't want to spread the germs even more! At least I can use the exercise bike now.

Oma, I can't remember the last time I ate malt loaf, it must be 60 years ago!

Gem, I hope E slept well in his new bed.

          Good morning.

Feeling a bit better this morning so I'm hoping the side effects are on their way out.

I managed to read a few of the posts from yesterday, but I'm way behind.

It was raining earlier, now it's sleet. Hoping it turns back to rain and not snow.

                Good morning.

Fingers crossed the side effects are lessening Nan2.

You are such a good grandma Lizzie , sorry you caught the bug.

Oma I have been going gradually lighter with hair dye . I use dark blonde now .

Little E loved his bed and had a good night's sleep. He's just got up and straight to his trains.

DD back in hospital yesterday, SIL will collect little E to take him swimming, but I may have him the rest of the day and tomorrow. All a bit unknown at the moment.
I will update YEO at some point.

                Heavy rain here this morning.

                  Morning ladies

Lizzie it was inevitable you would catch the bug ,
Best stay in till you are feeling better,
Fresh fruit salad is a favourite here also, if we make a big bowl I take some to DD and family ,
SIL & B loves it with cream GS likes ice-cream with it ,
DD and myself like it just the way it is 😁

                  Nanto
I hope your turning the corner and your starting to feel better ,
Maybe everyday use was like overdosing on the cream

                  Gem
Good to hear E loved his bed ,
Days will not be normal for a while for you , but at least DD&SIL don't have to worry about little E ,
He is quite happy at grandmas😁

I'm rather sore today , couldn't get rested during the night but where the Dr injected me he said it would be painful for a few days .
                  I wouldn't say it's painful, rather a dull ache ,

                  Dog coming today,
DD is off to Leeds she has estate agents coming to value the flat,
GS finished in the summer so they will not need it now.
They did think about renting it out but can't be bothered with any problems that might arise.

Oma, I think it can ache a bit for a while after these injections. I hope it helps in the long run.

Today we are going to buy pyjamas, socks, pants and a couple of T shirts to keep here for little E. Then if I have to pick him up from nursery unexpectedly he will have everything he needs for overnight.

Well .I went for an impromptu swim with SIL and little E! When his daddy came to pick him up late morning for the booked swim session he didn't want to go. Eventually I offered to go too, and suddenly he was keen. I'm a member there so can just log in to swim without booking so could join them. Quick dash to get ready and off we went! Of course he loved it when he got there. The three of us went M and S cafe for lunch. Then they went to see DD3 in hospital, having has her op/procedure (See YEO today)
I texted OH to pick me up and came home. DD2 and GS2 and coming after school. DD will pop to visit her sister whilst GS stays with us. No school run for me today as DD2 thought I was having a busy and turbulent enough time!

                          Still raining here

                            Good Friday afternoon, everyone.

Oh dear, where to start. Like Nanto I've got rather behind with posting this week. I have read up to date though, but please excuse me if don't respond. I'm truly not ignoring you.

Nanto, I think you have been feeling worse than I realised, but I'm relieved to see things are getting better. Take care.

Gem, how lovely that Grandma going swimming fired little E with enthusiasm. It shows how much he loves you and enjoys being with you. I always keep clothes and various pieces of equipment for the GCs. In fact we've only recently got rid of a potty, and still have a car booster seat to rehome.

Lizzie, I'm so sorry you caught your GDs' bug. Do take care, and don't overdo the miles on your new exercise bike. Well done to your GD2 on her English results. I think your schools are very good at teaching languages and remember getting to know a group of Dutch students when we were camping years ago. Their English was not only excellent, but they could do different British accents - from "very posh" like our late Queen to regional accents. It's amazing that accents are taught in schools.

Plant, did your cleaner turn up and do a good job? How was baby?

Oma, you must be feeling fed up with shoulder still being sore, but at least it will soon be feeling better. Constant pain is so tiring, but the dull ache will get batter soon. I don't blame your DD and SIL for selling the flat when GS finishes at Uni. We thought about buying somewhere when GS2 went away to uni, but he didn't want to be "landlord" to a group of mates, and we could see it might be a problem he could do without. It should be a time in their lives when they can enjoy themselves without too many responsibilities and their only worries are getting their assignments in on time and having fun.

Hospital was ok today, apart from having to wait to be unhooked from an infusion (the ward was very busy). We went on to DS2's to collect Eva and stayed for a while to have a cup of tea and a good chat. We were both tired by the time we got home, and so was Eva. We had a sandwich and both had a little unplanned nap. Sainsburys are due 7-8, but nothing else planned for today. Thank goodness.

                              Storm just gone home ,
He took his pain killing liquid and anti inflammatory tablets like a pro,
We never have a struggle with him , he just takes what we give him.

                              He was funny,
B got on the floor with him to give him a scratch and a cuddle ,
He turned his back on B,

So I got on the floor see what he would do ,
He gave me lots of kisses and licked my knee till my trousers were wet then layed his head on my knee😁

                              I won't say what B called him 🤣🤣

He knows I'm the feeder ,

He had roast duck legs and wings in duck fat for lunch ,he was very Happy,
We had bought a whole duck and we only eat the breast so he gets the rest

Oma, Storm always makes me smile. He knows which side his bread is buttered, or in his case who saves him duck legs and wings. But it shows he trusts B. Dogs don't turn their back on people or other dogs they're unsure about.

By the way, Eva loves duck legs and wings well as duck feet, all raw. They're crunched up in no time. I've got Eva some Collagen powder on the advice of the vet. She's a little madam with tablets so I hope the powder is easier.

I'd ordered a small bunch of flowers from Sainsburys tonight, but they delivered two. I must have look surprised, and the driver said he thought they'd been missed off the order so put another bunch on.
