Thank you Nanto. At least when you've tidied the freezer you know what's in there. I always find a few surprises! That's the trouble with getting the washing done - it creates ironing. I noticed our laundry bin is nearly full again. I'm going to ignore it tomorrow though.

This week seems to be going very quickly. I keep telling myself it's a week closer to Spring.

        Morning Nanto Ladies

It's not a bad morning here,

I have been up early , I washed and dried MIL washing last night and ironed it this morning, then went to Aldi for our shopping , then M&S for stuff for MIl
We then went and picked carpet samples up from our SIL he's going tomorrow to measure for her stair carpet,

I have a scan on my shoulder at 11 then we will go over with the samples , her washing and a beef dinner we already had in the freezer for her,
I'm going to make some gravy just now to go with it but I need a cupper first 😁

We have to take her shopping tomorrow then at the weekend I intend doing nothing ,

Our time is just consumed with her at the moment , I have told his sister she has to go next Wednesday to see to my SIL, the stair lift company and the Oxygen nurse is going out that day too, ,I have had enough for one week,

Spoke to DS this morning he said police didn't even bother coming out about the car , just took a statement over the phone and gave him a crime number,
He said they didn't seem interested it's just another car theft, shocking really,
He's never going to see that againπŸ™„

Oma, my impression of the police is that don't seem intereted in much these days.

Sainbury's came a bit earlier but it wasn't a proble, all put away now.

            Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, you're well organised, getting the fridge sorted before the groceries arrive. It does make putting everything away easier.

Oma, I wish someone could get it through to your MIL how much you are doing for her and how hard it is for you and B. I hope she is at least grateful, but you do need some down time, so I hope B's sister will do what's needed next week. Is your Dd better now?

Sadly, I think car theft is so common the police don't hold out much hope of getting a stolen car back. It's a faff having to sort out the insurance and everything to say nothing of needing another car.

It's dull, dreary and very wet here today. Nothing planned for us, but we can have the other half of the casserole I made yesterday for dinner tonight.

I am going, with my GD, to take my sewing machine for repair. I have to drop it off in a shopping area near to my GD2 but she is out atm. GD1 is taking me and we hope to cadge a coffee off GD.

Oma, your Mil is needy now, I suppose she wouldn’t consider getting more help or a nursing home. I hate my family having to do things for me but needs must occasionally Hope X-ray goes okay.

Nanto, my freezer in the garage needs defrosting but not the best time to tackle it.

Plant, I hope it's nothing major with your sewing machine. Enjoy your coffee with your GDs. I agree, sorting out freezers at this time of year is best avoided if possible.

Are you back to all your activities now? Sometimes it seems to take a while for everything to get back to normal after Christmas.

                  Daisy
DD feeling much better but her chest is still a bit rattly,
SIL seems to be coming down with it now thoughπŸ™„

                  Enjoy your casserole,
This time of the year that's what you need and it's a one pot thing too , so makes life easier.
I was so tired last night I ended up with a ham sandwich for tea ,
I'm making sure we have veg tonight and I bought some chicken in lattice pastry to go with it .

                  Nanto
Don't you feel like your always sorting fridge and freezer out then have to do it again a short time after,
It's one of those never ending jobs isn't it,

                  Plant
Is your sewing machine broke or just needing a service?
I don't use mine much at all now but I won't get rid of it as I always have to take up PJ bottoms when I buy them and I can't hand sew now,

It will be nice to have a cupper with GD when she gets back home,
No MIL will not entertain any talk of nursing homes or extra care
Stubborn till the day she dies that woman.

My scan went fine although the positions I had to put my hand and shoulder in , like one hand behind my back that is painful to do, that aggravated it so when I got to MILs I had to take pain killers,

I took her washing in and the things from M&S ,
While B showed her the carpet samples, I put them away ,
And put her dinner we made on a plate with the Yorkshire's so they just need putting in the oven and the gravy putting in a pan to warm up.

His DS2 was there when we arrived , up to now she is definitely going to do next Wednesday.

We are back tomorrow to take her shopping .

Oma, I know they've got to get certain positions for scans, but that sounds very painful. When will you get the results? It's all very well your MIL being stubborn, but it's at your and B's expense in terms of time, patience and hard work. I wish there was someone she'd listen to.

We'll enjoy the casserole again tonight. I don't mind have the same meals two days running, but I know some people won't do that.

Your poor SIL - I hope he doesn't get what DD has had. It's worse being ill when you're self-employed, because there's often no one who can cover for you.

I was hoping for a break in the rain to take Eva out, but I think I blinked and missed it! She's limping on her back leg so I don't want to take her out to get wet and cold. Her fleece coat covers her front legs, but not her back.

They said I should get the results within the week
It's most likely arthritis, they put everything down to that.

Yes having your own business doesn't give you the luxury of taking time off when your unwell does it.

This cold weather is playing havoc with not only our old bones but our pets as well,

Storm is really stiff getting up at times , poor Eva
They are good at hiding pain as well aren't they.

Buzz has to have a cyst on his lip drained yesterday it cost DD Β£50 she said she was in and out in 10 minutes
                      Shocking isn't it.

Oma, yes, arthritis seems to be a catch all for our aches and pains. Poor Storm. I hate to see an animal in pain. Eva has some pain killer I can give her, but it doesn't seem to help much, but the vet did say there were other things they can do to help. Vet bills seem to have rocketed just lately, but the price of everything has gone up and most vets are owned by big corporate businesses these days. They've always got their eyes on the bottom line. To be honest, any vet visit costing less than Β£100 doesn't seem too bad these days.

We got lucky with the weather. It was still raining when we went out, but stopped a few minutes later. We were out much longer than I planned, because I ran into a friend walking her dog and we stood and chatted for quite a while.

There is an update on Gem's DD3 thread.

Good morning , I hear that the vet prices are very high here as well. Mind you, the same goes for everything!

We had rain all day yesterday, I went to the friends that lost his this wife last year, he is coping really well, I didn't expect anything else really, I think that she would have done the same if if it had been the other way around.

Plant, I hope that you got your sewing machine repaired.

Oma, you and B seem to do so much for MIL, she seems so stubborn! I went to visit the lady downstairs yesterday afternoon for a chat, she appreciates that, her nephew will be home on Saturday, he usually calls in daily on his way home from the gym.

DS2 phoned last night, he has to have an injection in his shoulder, he has bursitis.

I want to go to the gym early, now the roads are clear I feel safe again. I have treatment later then see what the weather is like.

                            Good morning everyone.

I am reading chat and enjoying keeping up with you all.

I will keep anything about DD3's situation to that thread.

This morning we hope to take little E to the nature reserve. After lunch he and daddy are going to visit his mummy in hospital . I am going to see her after that.

                            Have a good Friday.

                              Good morning ladies.

Last night it came in quite foggy but it had cleared when we got up at 5 this morning.

Hubby out later for his Friday meet up with his pal.
I don't think I'll be going out anywhere, plenty to keep me occupied, including some more ironing.

I'm pleased you can get to the gym safely now,
They are bringing in a legislation about vet bills here to stop over charging,
When it comes in I have no idea bet regulations would be good.
