    Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

I'll catch up later, but we're going out to do some shopping soon and I need to get a move on.

No visits from Dr. H today, she was too busy riding her bike outside. Chilly but sunny. I have a sore throat, hope it gets better as I want to go out tomorrow, WI in cafe at the Sports and Social club and games in the afternoon. We had to close our afternoon WI, no venue suitable and we were all getting too old to take on a Chairman etc. We try to meet up once a month in a local cafe.

Oma, hope you get your car back soon. Your Mil is a case to be reconned with, I am sure she doesn’t shout at the nurses. Are you feeling better now.

Gemini, Is there somewhere in the ward where your daughter can eat the food you take her. Is her DS unhappy to see her in the hospital or does he dislike the hospital.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Lizzie, glad it wasn't something more serious with your car.

Oma, not very often we eat out in town on a Tuesday.
We were home for just after 11.30 today.

Gem, hope you catch up on your sleep.

Must go and tweak my Sainsburys order again.

I'm fine now thank you ,
I hope your sore throat doesn't developed into anything more ,
          Enjoy your day tomorrow,

          Well MIL is home ,
They rang his sister to say she could go get her ,
I think they were sick of her and her nasty ways

She had left her walking stick ,
So I rang the ward to ask if they could put it to one side and my nephew will collect it tomorrow

I said tell the staff we said thank you for putting up with her ,
She said yes she's very challenging isn't she.

Garage just rang we will have a courtesy car by tomorrow lunch time , thank goodness,

They said they have no idea when the part for ours will arrive from Korea unfortunately.

The kitchen man came today to collect the deposit for my kitchen , he gave us a 10% discount for ordering so quickly .

The fitter will contact us to arrange a date as I want my flooring done first ,
That's not till the last 3 days in march .

Nanto, you were back home with your shopping done before we even got out. I hope you got your Sainsbury's order sorted. I love the sunrise picture.

Gem, it's no wonder S's golf course is closed with all this rain. Most of the courses round here are shut, too. I hope you did get a little nap and sleep well tonight. You need some home comforts in hospital, especially your own pillow, and hospital food isn't usually very appetising or nourishing.

Lizzie, you must be fed up with the cold weather you're having. You're right to get good tyres for your car, but the others did well to last for ten years. I know you don't use your car a lot, but tyres rot over time and become brittle - so the man who services our caravan told us. Is your suite leather? I suppose the oil helps to keep it supple and clean at the same time. The day I was gardening was much milder and sunny, and I had a nice warm fleece on.

Oma, thank goodness your courtesy car is on its way. I hope it's comfortable and what B has asked for. You really miss a car when you're used to having one. I'm glad to hear your MIL is home again, and I hope she calms down a bit and stops shouting at people. The nurse who said she is "challenging" must be very patient. Did you sort your wardrobe out? How nice to get a discount off your kitchen, it's never a cheap job so anything off is good. How is Storm getting on?

Plant, it's a good job you didn't need your heart checking again today if Dr H was busy practising for the Tour de France. I'm sure your ex-WI friends all enjoy your cafe get togethers without anyone having to worry about formal WI business. Are you taking anything for your sore throat?

We were just about to go out this morning when our window cleaner arrived. We stayed until he'd finished otherwise Eva would have wanted to go out and "help" him - he always makes a fuss of her. We did a few bits of shopping and then went to DS2 and DIL2's shop to collect some empty boxes OH wanted for posting things in - mainly sets of Meccano. By then it was lunch time and we were mid-way between two pubs we like. I chose the one that's next door to my friend who organises our College lunches, so after lunch OH said he'd sit in the car and read the paper and I called to see my friend. She'd just got back from having some treatment on her eyes (she's recently had to give up driving and it's left her feeling rather low). It was good to have a chat though, and I think she was pleased to see me. Eva was definitely pleased to see us when we got home - it's not often we leave her on her own. Although the weather had clouded over it wasn't raining so I took her out for a walk straight away.

It was lovely to go out and I enjoyed my lunch - aubergine and lentil dahl - and ate it all except for a bit of rice. OH had his favourite - gammon, eggs, chips and peas. I was going to make pancakes for tea, but we weren't very hungry. I might make some tomorrow.

              Good morning.

              Its bitter cold today.

Daisy, sorry to hear your friend is feeling a bit down.
I'm with your OH, i have gammon when we go for a pub meal.
I need to make some more pancakes for the freezer.

                Morning ladies,
A bright but very cold morning,
The scrap man has just been to take our old cooker hood away ,

                Daisy
Eva is like Storm very rarely gets left and when he does and we come home it's like he's been abandoned for days 😁

I understand your friend being down not having a car , we have been lost without ours,
I am sure she was grateful of your company.
I didn't get my wardrobe sorted GS came for a visit and of course foodπŸ™„πŸ˜

It can wait for another day,

We take delivery of the courtesy car at 11.30
The first thing we are doing is going to see Storm,
We have so missed him , I'm taking plenty of treTs😁

                Nanto
I'm a gammon person , not so much chips and I don't get peas,
With my shaky hands every diner would get a share 🀣

                Gem
I hope you slept well last night,
We always took Bs pillow and when he was in for weeks I used to take the single Duvet off the spare bed .
It makes them feel better having their own things around them.

                  Good morning everyone.

Oma, that's long wait for the courtesy car. Storm will be glad to see you.

Lizzie, you may remember I had to have four new tyres recently and one was the age of the car, 10 years old!

We didn't make pancakes yesterday either Daisy, maybe today.

Plant , DD can eat her food we take in on the ward, where she would eat the hospital food. The nurses seem happy to see patients eating something they enjoy. She was going to see little E in the cafe and go out for a walk as it was a fine day. She doesn't see him in the ward unless its unavoidable. He was going to go then changed his mind. He is a confused little boy at the moment and Grandma's house is his safe place so always reluctant to leave.

Aqua morning, massage this afternoon, I really need it I missed last months as I had a cold, and my hip has been really painful lately.
Not sure about the rest of the day. It may depend on where DD3 is later.

Good morning, Daisy, the tyres were on the car for 11 years! I found the receipt, the young man did tell me they need replacing every 6 years, he said it will help that it is always in the garage, but, they need the movement whilst driving to keep their texture, so he told me.

It is a leather suite Daisy, I use castor oil in warm water, good for the suite and my hands at the same time.

GD1 phoned yesterday to tell me about the theory course, there were 24 of them, one had been 8 times!!!!

It is both my DIL's birthdays today.

                      Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I'd never thought about freezing pancakes. To be honest, I'm not very good at making them, so it's always a bit hit and miss. Gammon and chips seem to be on every pub's menu. It's always popular. A friend of mine has a bad allergy to garlic and she says it's often the only thing on the menu she can eat!

Oma, you can depend on a dog to greet you no matter how long you've been out. They never nag, do they. Storm will be overjoyed to see you, but I hope he remembers he mustn't jump up. I feel sad for my friend. She has had a very busy life. She was our technician at College, but she also worked long hours organising women's hockey, travelling all over the south of England, after work, several times a week. She lost her OH a few years ago and moved to a little bungalow, which is lovely and quite convenient but not having a car means everything has to be planned and takes much longer. Even the weather is against her as the golf course is closed, or is partly open but no trolleys. It seems so sad for someone who has given so much. I hope your courtesy car is a good one.

Gem, it's good to hear that DD3 is eating good food. I'm sure the nurses are pleased to see that. Little E will be much happier in the cafe, I'm sure. It's a more familiar environment than the ward, which must seem alien and strange to him. Poor little lamb, no wonder he's confused. Thank goodness he's got the security of Grandma and everything he's familiar with at your house. I'm so glad you're able to have your massage today. Take care. xxx

Lizzie, those tyres have done well! We've got one leather armchair that needs cleaning, and I'd never thought about castor oil and warm water. It sounds as though GD1 is still pleased about her theory test. It must be heartbreaking for someone taking it 8 times, though. Happy birthday to your DILs.

It's damp and miserable here today. No particular plans for me but plenty of things that need doing. OH is at his car pal's for the day.

Keep your fingers crossed for my DD3 going home this afternoon after a blood transfusion. She's been in since Sunday ( I will update YEO) and wants home and sleep before Tuesday's chemo.

My OH is on standby to drive her home as I will probably still be at my massage, quite a few miles away .

                          Afternoon ladies,

                          Gem
S is a darling , she's taking some stress from your shoulders,
                          Enjoy your massage.

As long as DD is eating I don't think they care who takes what in.
It might be less daunting for little E seeing mummy in the cafe , less frightening.

                          The car arrived,
Not as nice as ours and basic but it gets us around so can't complain,

                          We went to See Storm,

Oh my goodness , he saw us from the window and we could hear him howling from the drive ,
He was behind the front door when we went in
He cried and cried , I got lots of wet kisses and it sounded like he was telling us off for not coming to see us 😁
                          He grumbled and huffed .

I said oh where is your poorly leg and he turned to show us bless him ,
I had taken treats so he was happy once he settled and had them.

It is a very nice clean scar and he only has his soft collar on at night he's been so good ,
He's still got a limp but vet said that could take up to 12 weeks to go away.

I felt like we hadn't seen him for ages.

Gem, hope DD can go home today. Good to hear she is eating.

Oma, even though its a basic car,it will get you around.
Glad Storm seems to be doing well.

Gem, everything is crossed for your DD3 being able to go home. She will be more relaxed, and eat and sleep better, plus of course, being with her OH and little E. It was kind of S to offer to take her home.

Oma, there's no doubt Storm loves you to bits. What a great welcome. Glad he's being a good boy and leaving his leg alone. Thank goodness you've finally got a car. Are there any updates about when yours will be ready?

It's a horrible day here, pouring with rain from mid morning. It was so bad OH and his car pals gave up after lunch, it was too wet even though they were mainly in the garage. I've got about half the ironing done, and cleaned the oven. It's not spotless, but better than it was.

I haven't even walked Eva yet. I know some dogs won't go out at all in the rain, but Eva isn't one of those dogs!!! I'll have to brave it soon.

We went to the dealership today to get stuff out of our car ,
They said it's in the lap othe gods when the part arrives .πŸ™„

                                Storm isn't liking no walks,
DD bought two of these puzzle things where you put treats under the parts and they have to figure out how to move them aside to get to the treats,
He worked both out within minutes ,so she's looking online for something else to keep him occupied,

I hope you didn't get to wet in the rain on your walk .
