Daisy, an hour early is FAR too early! Naughty Sainsbury's.

LOL at your GS Oma I hope he is having a great time.

Plant, yes we have booked a few days away. I will update the Travel thread!

Well the day has filled itself. OH got a new phone so we have spent a lot of time sorting that out this afternoon.
This morning we did one of my hated jobs, sorting out boxes which I have been ignoring, We did three which contained some of my mum's things from the care home. She died over two years ago
If not for OH I would never do them so it's a good job the pushes me. I give in eventually! We both have several boxes in the loft from out previous homes which need doing.

Good morning. Nice and bright here.
Hubby just gone with his brother to a car boot sale. One of them was cancelled because of strong winds, but it's very calm at the moment.

Oma, love the photo, he does look like a drugs baron.

      No plans for today.

DS2 and DIL will be back from holiday today.

Only doing jacket potatoes with cheese and beans today.

          Good morning ladies.

Even stronger winds forecast for tomorrow I believe Nan2.

Oma, when will your DD be back? I bet there will be much excitement from Storm, although I know he loves it at Nannas

My plans for today are decluttering! Of the clothes variety. I have several wardrobes all crammed full, I can't need all those clothes.
Golf with a friend for OH later.
Sunny morning here but feels chilly. I have put the heating on.

          Have a good Sunday everyone.

No plans for me either, cloud cover seems to be getting darker, rain forecasted. Feeling very slow this morning but I have managed to give the shower screen a good clean. I had blood taken this week, very young nurse, no bedside manner but very tiny bruise. We have had a fox visiting us and settling in the orchard for the day, we wonder if it is injured. H is very excited to see it. DD has bought some dog food for it.

Morning Oma, looking after Storm seems to be going to plan. Family having a good time away.

Nanto, enjoy your visit to the farm shop and enjoy your lunch in the garden centre, one meal you don’t have to cook.

Gemini, enjoy your relaxing, no plans, day. Have you fixed a few days break?

                  Had rain this afternoon.

DS1 called,to tell us about his trip to Bosnia.
He said its a lovely place, very scenic with lovely people.
Hotel was very nice and in a lovely setting.
He said you can see bullet holes in a lot of buildings, the legacy from war.

                    Nan2 I think it's like winter too!
Our cats are hanging out in the spare bedroom looking quite miserable!

OH and friend were lucky as they finished their game before the rain started.

                      Good Sunday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, just imagine what it would be like at a car boot sale with high winds! No wonder that one was cancelled. I hope DS2 and DIL have had a good holiday and a trouble-free journey home. It sounds as though Bosnia is a really good place to visit. It's good to hear that after all those years of terrible warfare.

Gem, I'm the same - far too many clothes, many of which I never seem to wear. I must do some decluttering. I agree, sorting out boxes like that is hard. Well done to S for all the encouragement. They were lucky to finish their golf before the weather changed. My niece has just returned from a Yoga and Pilates retreat, which sounded very similar to the one your DD went on, but was in the Canary Islands. She said it was fabulous, with wonderful food and nice weather, plus plenty of time to relax between classes. It sounded idyllic.

Oma, Storm is such a lucky dog to have a home from home with you and B and another one with D and J. You get such a lot done first thing in the morning. I wish I could do the same, but I can't motivate myself that early. Are DD and family due home tomorrow, or have they got another week?

Plant, yes, I saw your post yesterday as well. Did the fox appear again?

Wee Granny, I've been wondering how you are enjoying your holiday. Hopefully you've got plenty of sunshine, and it's a lot warmer than here.

My OH has excelled himself this morning! I suggested a few days ago that his next culinary challenge should be a roast dinner. He went a bit pale, and confessed he was worried might get lumbered with cooking Christmas dinner as well! I persuaded him in the end though, and this morning he did roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and kale. I did the gravy, and the only failure was the Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puds which I overcooked. They didn't look done so I left them in longer, which was a mistake! Otherwise it was delicious, and I think he's quietly pleased with himself.

The weather was dry and a bit windy this morning, so I put some washing on the line. We had just sat down for dinner when it started to rain, so I had to rush out and haul everything in! It's like winter here, and I'm glad I did the lawn yesterday. However, Eva will want her walk. I don't mind too much - it's always good to get out and get some fresh air!

Back from the heat and sunshine of Greece to cold and rain! I had a lovely break and saw lots of different places! Jury’s still out on cruising though!
First cataract removal on Wednesday, not really looking forward to it, but it’s got to be done. Don’t have a date for the second one yet. DD is taking me and staying with me for a couple of nights.
DS has gone back after a few weeks here. He’s in Naxos this week and then he’s off to India on business at the end of the month.
GS has gone to Leeds to begin his university course. I’m planning on visiting him so

I’m hoping to visit sometime in the not too distant future!

WG, welcome home Not nice to come back to this weather though!
I had cataract ops on both eyes in my 50's. You wouldn't choose to do it for fun, but it's fine and takes a very short time.

Wow Daisy, well done to your OH on his first Sunday roast

Daisy, OH is certainly doing well with the cooking.

Good morning. Windy, but i don't think it's as bad as predicted. I suppose there is time for it to get worse.

No plans today, we'll just see how the day goes.

Its an easy dinner today. Pork steaks, thin fries and peas.
