    Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, what lovely photos - thank you for sharing them. I'm sure they will have lots to tell you when they get home.

Nanto, thank you for the cheery graphic. I hope you're pleased with your skirt. Enjoy your scampi today.

Gem, I hope the massage helps with the pain. Constant pain is exhausting, and you must be fed up with it. It's been raining here this morning, and is a huge contrast to yesterday.

Oma, how is B today? I hope he's feeling better. Is MIL ok?

I've just put bedding in the wash, but there's little chance it will dry outside unless it brightens up a bit. Last week I washed all the coats and jackets, but didn't have time to clean out the cupboard where they live. So that's this morning's job. It smells a bit musty, so I'm not sure how to get rid of that - any advice is welcome. It's a built-in- cupboard in the guest bedroom. No other plans - so far.

      Morning ladies
      What a morning,
Rang the Hospital for the memory clinic MIL supposed to be at this afternoon,
No appointments there, try the other two hospitals one in Gateshead one in Newcastle,
Rang them no they didn't have her on the list.

Rang his sister she said she had seen the letter it was definitely today but didn't recall the hospital.
She rang back to our local hospital asked to be put through to appointments,

It's there but not the memory clinic it's just to see a triage nurse to determine if she needs the memory clinic or not.

Rang MIL to tell her and that we would pick her up at 1.30 ,
She had a right strop about it , so B said if you had kept the letter we wouldn't be having all this problem it's your fault so stop the shouting or we won't take you at all.

We got," oh yes it's all my fault blame me"

      Well yes it is,

We just know she will be in a bad mood when we pick her up and she will be rude to the nurse.

We are all bending over backwards for her,
His other sister is ringing the smoking team to get more patches , his other sister has been hanging on the phone to the council in the queue to get a repair done then the district nurses have to be called to do her blood tests,
All this and she's still not happy.

Well that's my moan and rant for today , sorry ladies 😁

      Gem
I hope the massage helps, no fun being in pain.

      Lizzie
Lovely photos , enjoy your walk into town.

Have you tried a bowl of bicarbonate soda in the bottom of the cupboard, sometimes it's just lack of air circulation, bicarb absorbs smells.
B better than he was thanks but going to try see the Dr this week incase it's his kidneys.

      Nanto
Enjoy your trip into town, will you be going to the butchers or is it just general shopping?.

Welcome back, Plant. I look forward to hearing about Cornwall and your holiday.

Oma, your MIL seems to have a talent for annoying those who are trying to help her. Rant whenever you need to - it helps to let off steam. Many thanks for the bowl of bicarb suggestion. Silly question, but the cupboard's about the size of a single wardrobe. Do you need a lot (say 1 lb) of bicarb or just a few teaspoons?

I think about a cup full Daisy, that's what I put in my airing cupboard but that wouldn't be as large as your wardrobe so maybe try that and add more if needed.

            MIL
Was on top form showing off and passed the tests with flying colours ,
Some of the questions were really hard but she didn't hesitate,
Apart from one question he asked her to name as many animals as she could ,
She started to falter so I gave her a hint,
I said what do you not like hitting the light at night , meaning a moth ,
She said a penguin, we cracked up at that 😁

He did say she needs her hearing tested but she wasn't having it , she won't admit she's going deaf
He said some things she can't remember may be because she hasn't heard .

Sitting in the waiting room there were several clinics on , one was the Dietitian clinic,
A large lady came in and sat about three rows in front of us ,
MIl in her usual loud voice said , she must be going to the Fat clinic😱

I told her to shush , she said she can't hear me , of course she can hear you woman.

When we came out I said so we can't commit her to the asylum , he said unfortunately not yet 😁

He asked her if she had mood swings , she said, "no I just go with the flow I'm very even tempered"
I said your Jekyll and Hyde , your not even tempered when your screaming at us .

I have a pounding headache now , I need to take some tablets.

Oma, thank you - I'll try a cup full and see how that goes.

I had to laugh at your MIL's penguin comment, but can imagine your embarrassment about the fat clinic comment. As for being even tempered, it just shows how we don't see ourselves as other see us!

Welcome back Plant , we look forward to hearing about it

MIL truly tries your patience Oma..I really sympathise , my mum could be very difficult like that at times.

Well, the day turned out warm and sunny in the end.
My massage was helpful, she really knows which areas to work on.
The man from Hilary's Blinds came to fit the new kitchen blinds this afternoon. They are remote controlled and very posh. The smartest things in the house by far now
Our friends G and A called in for a cuppa and chat before tea.

                Night everyone xx

                  Good morning.

                  Oma, rant anytime about MIL.

Yesterday I didn't buy anything from the butchers, even hubby couldn't believe it.

Welcome home Plant.Hope you had a lovely holiday.

                  No plans for us today.

Potato gratin and duck breasts were taken out of the freezer yesterday for today's dinner with veg.

Your right , she definitely doesn't see herself as we see her ,
She does tend to show off to people especially men , she becomes this sweet old lady around them.
Poor lad got her whole life story

We have the dog today till 2.30 then he has to go for his immunisations.
                    GS coming for dinner ,
I've just done chicken and rice for Storms dinner , will have to wait see what GS wants.

                      Hi everyone!

We had some fine weather and managed to find plenty to amuse H. We came back early to celebrate GD2’s 30th birthday. My DD and Sil are amusing all four of their GC. The two GD’s are cooking flapjack, GS is playing football and the youngest GS is being shepherded around by Sil.

Oma, Your Mil would try the patient of a saint. We can smile at her antics but it must be trying for you and the family. I wonder what GS will choose for his dinner

Nanto, that dinner sounds delicious, I love duck.

Gemini, I am pleased that your treatment gave you relief from the pain.

                        A late hello from me!

Plant, I'm glad you had fine weather. It sounds busy around you

Oma, I hope Storm enjoys his nice dinner before his jabs.
We did demonstrate the blinds to G and A yes!

I took it easier at aqua again today, avoiding some movements. I am in less pain, so that's an improvement.

It was aqua and coffee for me this morning, we have no plans the rest of the day. We are both free and might have gone to the nature reserve this afternoon, but it has started to rain and the forecast isn't good, so we will stay here I think.

Also tidied the drawers in both freezers.

Had sunshine this morning, but just had a heavy shower, but sun is back out now.

Apologies for my absence today - we have got both GDs and Cooper staying with us and time has just disappeared.
