    Good morning everyone.

I hope today is a better one Daisy.

    That's a cheery butterfly Nan2.

Unlike the weather here this morning, dull and miserable!
Aqua this morning. I have couple of things to do this afternoon, but nothing interesting.

      Morning ladies
So far it's nice dry and bright .
I think we are going into Hawkshead today then to Coniston.
Martin text last night , they are back from Florida so he's going in to see MIL tonight DD going in after lunch.
She did the stair test yesterday and passed with flying colours so I can't see why she won't be out for the weekend,
OT has been out and extra aids being delivered to the house today.

      Daisy
How are you feeling today any more energy?
Do what you can but rest as much as possible , I know it's boring but what else can you do ,

      Gem
Did E like his new nursery? Little one adapt to change quickly don't they,
      Enjoy Aqua.

      Nanto
I like a salad with chicken usually Birdseye southern fried ,
B has to have something like chips or jacket potato as well.

B went in the hot tub last night, I didn't they don't appeal to me at all.

Having a cupper before we decide what time we going out.

        Good morning Oma!
E seems to be enjoying his nursery
It's an organic nursery with daily forest school so just their kind of thing.
It sounds as if your MIL will be home soon.
Have a lovely day whatever you do

Washed a load of towels, they are on the line.

            Good Wednesday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, I hope the sun has come out for you. The salad sounds lovely. I always think a salad with something hot is a good mix, although I know there are people who think the opposite! I hope your towels dried ok.

Gem, I hope your things to do this afternoon aren't totally boring. Little E's new nursery sounds wonderful. I think it's great for little ones to be able to be outside to play. The playgroup both our GDs went to wasn't a forest one as such, but they had plenty of outside space and used it everyday unless it was bitterly cold or pouring with rain. They kept wellies there permanently, and a "play" coat they could get muddy and wet in.

Oma, it sounds as though you and B are having a lovely time. I hope he enjoyed the hot tub. I'd love one, and think they're brilliant. I hope the sun is still shining for your outings today. I always associate Coniston with Malcolm Campbell and Bluebird. But I'm sure it's beautiful at this time of year, especially if the weather's good. Did Martin and family enjoy their trip to Florida? It's good news about your MIL. She's done very well, and hopefully the assessment by the OT and the safety sids will help to keep her in her own home for as long as possible.

I feel a bit better than I did yesterday. We had a nice surprise this morning! We'd accepted a quote for having our water feature converted into a small wildlife pond. We weren't in any particular hurry so had said to the gardener to fit it in round other jobs (he's set up his business quite recently). Anyway, he rang first thing saying could he come today. So of course we said yes, and our new pond is already taking shape. I'm looking forward to it being finished and choosing some plants for it. We had to take the bird feeders down and OH put them on a nearby table. I was very surprised to see lots of green finches and gold finches go straight to them and carry on as usual. I love watching them.

A friend called round this morning. I haven't seen her for a while, so we had a coffee and a catch up. No plans for this afternoon but I'll try and get one load of washing done.

That pond sounds lovely , we will need pictures,
The birds are so used to being in your garden nothing is going to stop them 😁

We are going to see the bluebird museum tomorrow I think ,

Nice to catch up with friends , gives you an excuse to do nothing 😁

              The weather is glorious,
We spent the morning in Hawkshead , I bought some original gingerbread, I love gingerbread,
B bought me a lovely pair of crystal drop earrings.
I had some years ago and lost one so I'm pleased with these.
We then went into a deli and I bought the stickiest Belgium buns it's huge ,
I will have that later with a cup of tea, I will just adjust my insulin 😁
              B has a vanilla slice.

We came back had a light lunch , we then went to the Aquarium and the steam train ride,
It's a bit too hot for me to walk about in so we came back and B is having a bit sun time on the balcony.

We are going out for tea so I need a rest first .

Oma, what a lovely time you're having, mixing trips out with rest and relaxation in between. I hope you haven't even thought about a duster since you arrived! It's a really beautiful part of the country and the weather is being kind as well!

Nice to have a coffee and a catch up, especially with someone you haven't seen for a while.

Oma, we have always used hot tubs when we've been on cruises.
No desire to get one ourselves.
Its many years since we up in the lakes.
When we were at Coniston Water i thought of Malcolm Campbell and Bluebird.

Nanto, you did better than me with washing! I ended up putting mine off till tomorrow as I didn't want to get in the way of the pond building. I just hope it doesn't rain though.

I'll take photos of the pond - the liner is in and is being filled with rain water, thanks to the water butts filling up yesterday. I'm looking forward to going to the shop selling aquatic plants.

rest and try to get some sleep, migraines are the worst headaches going .
It washes you out for days too.

Oma, it is making me feel very happy reading about your holiday

Daisy a pond is a lovely thing, I would love one. We look forward to updates and pictures!

I have enjoyed hot tubs in the past (But like Nan2 have no desire to have one of our own) Now I have the condition I have mentioned in YEO, there will be no more hot tubs for me!

The weather improved and we actually managed a cuppa in the garden this afternoon.
We got the mundane afternoon tasks done (Taking a Vinted sale to be posted, collecting blood form from the Drs surgery, and microwave shopping) That was bit fruitless and we ended up coming home and ordering one from Argos. They didn't have it in stock but we can pick it up from tomorrow.
This morning I bought us a very nice M&S meal deal as I felt we could do with a treat. So tonight we are having Chicken Forestier, dauphinoise potatoes, with our own veg, then sticky toffee pudding.
We also have pate as the starter but we will be eating that for lunch another day.
In fact it's time to serve it up

Gem, I always think when you know what you want to buy, like your microwave, they suddenly seem to have vanished from the shops. But at least you can collect yours tomorrow. I'd be lost without my microwave! The M&S meal deal sounds delicious - I hope you both enjoyed it, and having a chance to sit in the garden when the weather improved was nice as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pond finished. The liner is in now and the pond is half-filled. I wanted rain water in, not tap water, but the water butts are now dry again, so we'll be waiting for the next downpour!

Good morning everyone, I will do a catch up!

Daisy, your wild life pond will be very interesting, the friends of mine had one when they lived in Delft.

                              Gem, I love my microwave!

Plant, I do hope that you are feeling better today.

Oma, you certainly have had a good few days away, we went to the lakes years ago, in fact it was the first time DH2 visited the UK, we had glorious weather as well.

It is a Bank Holiday here today, ascension day, a lot make a long weekend of it, it showed on the roads yesterday, so busy!

Nanto, your freezer must be so handy for you with your batch cooking.

M from next door came for coffee yesterday afternoon, she is taking me out to lunch for my birthday, she got it booked yesterday. The restaurant is on the lake near here.

                                Enjoy your birthday meal.

                                DS1 is coming for dinner.
He's going somewhere about an hours drive from here, hubby is going with him.

Just doing jacket potatoes with various fillings.

Asda delivery between 9 and 10.
