Gem, I hope the party goes well tonight. I bet SIL2 will enjoy their band revival. It's wonderful to see the gardens slowly coming back to life.

OH's car is due for its MOT at lunch-time, but no other plans for us. I've got plenty to keep me busy though.

Yes Daisy, a free weekend, she was telling me the classes are from 10am to 2pm so they have most of the day to themselves as it is.

There was a slight frost here, I am going to get my washing hung out in the hope that it will dry!

Lizzie yes it is!! Which is a short walk from my ex and his OH's house.

I am not fully looking forward to it I have to say. I'm not keen on big gatherings, and my ex BIL's OH is horrible woman. We all dislike her. My Ex obviously wanted his brother there, and couldn't really say don't bring her She wont know anyone apart from my family and I fear she will try to talk to me all night It's ten years since I last saw her, which isn't long enough.

We are having chicken tikka for tea also.
Wickes is expensive here for a lot of things but when it's the only place around or the only place that has what you want you have no choice do you.
I hope hubby gets what he's looking for at a decent price 😁

B is so much better , didn't have a great night again but better than the night before,
I made chicken in BBQ sauce last night with new potatoes and green beans and he ate the lot.

We have been to Iceland this morning, it's cold but not freezing ,
I have the bedding in the wash , I might get some out this morning,
DD coming over with the dog at some point before lunch .

After lunch I'm going to sort the tops of the wardrobes out ,
Being built in we have a full length shelf on the top of each bedroom wardrobes and all sorts get put up there,
Spare pillows we never going to use there are old duvets I don't know why I've kept ,
I will get them down and take to the animal shelter.

Hubby got what he wanted from Wickes at a reasonable price.
Problem was hubby saying oh lets just have a look at this that and the other.

Lizzie, I hope your Gd tells you all about her adventures in Portugal.

OH's car failed its MOT!! About 4 months ago he had some new tyres and the wheels rebalanced, tracking etc. It wasn't done properly and he took it back and they redid it. When the car was put up on the ramp at the Test Centre you could see the one tyre was completely worn down on the inside rim! So whatever they did was completely wrong. He's taking it back to the tyre place on Monday to get it sorted out and then retested.

I started to clean the windows inside today, but it was too sunny to do the ones at the front - south facing. So I had a good excuse to leave them. I didn't take Eva out until 8.30 tonight, and it had gone very cold again.

Nanto, we've had a hard frost, but the sun is out and it's warming up a bit. It's nice to get out in the sunshine after all that rain and gloom. Is your hubby's job going ok?

Gem, I hope you survived the party without a hangover.

No particular plans for us today. I might do some more windows, and need to prep some dog food, but otherwise I think it will be a fairly lazy day.

Daisy it's nearly impossible to do windows when the sun's on them isn't it ,
My patio doors need cleaning but I have Storm Tuesday and Wednesday again this week so will leave them to he's home again.
That's shocking about the tyre , someone hasn't done their job properly ,
He must not be happy about it I bet.

It's nice the weather is decent enough for hubby to get his jobs done.

SIL has been early to borrow Bs sander they are filling in holes at his brother's house that was ripped to bits by the drug gang, my decorator Joe is going this week to paint all the rooms so it all has to be ready.

Before I had a shower we sorted out our wardrobes,
A big pile of stuff for the tip and for the animal sanctuary,
We need to see what's in the loft and B has sold all but two of his tools so the rubbish left in the shed can be sorted for the tip now.

I. Was going to do the wardrobes yesterday but we got a lovely sunrise visit from Martin , Clare and Finley.
He is adorable and so funny he is picking up on everything you say now so you have to be careful or he repeats it.
Poor B was backwards and forwards on his reclining chair he had to pretend he was asleep then fin would press it to make him sit up and wake up , then lay down again.

He told us Mammy is rubbish at fast cars she doesn't know how to play properly not like Daddy.
Clare said the noise in their house she's not sure who is the child Fin or Martin 😂

We off to Morrisons now I need a few bits , we will just go to our small local one.

Oh dear about OH's car Daisy, I think we get so used to them passing the MOT.

Oma, little E loves to recline our sofa!! He thinks its funny

No hangovers here I enjoyed my two rhubarb gins with ginger ale, then a diet coke. OH was driving.
We have been out doing chores this morning. DD and GS1 are away this weekend for a friends 40th, so we are cat and guinea pig feeding. From there we went to the house of our friends who are away for 6 weeks, to bring mail in from the letter box and generally check all was OK.

We had a very good time last night. I managed to avoid ex SIL for a lot of the evening, and she wasn't too bad when I did talk to her. I do love my ex BIL, I have known him since he was 16 and he's always been sweet, so it was good to see him.
Seeing my beautiful GD with her best friend happy and having a lovely evening was a great joy
