Daisy, I am sure Eva will enjoy her time with your family. I haven’t had a look around apart from borders under my SR window. It really hasn’t been tempting enough. The blue tits are busy coming and going around the nesting box, I don’t know if they have moved in yet. I have been trying to feed the robin and blackbird that arrive, before the squirrels wake up. Some hope there, haven’t seen a squirrel all winter until I put the food down.

It's DSs birthday so no we won't be celebrating with him sadly.
I did text him this morning and sent his card last week ,
Surprisingly he replied straight away , usually it's a few days later.
They are going out for the day on Sunday as a family to celebrate his Birthday and Valentine's.

Gem, did you have any sunshine so you take take GS3 out today? I hope his mum and dad's decorating goes well.

Plant, blue tits seem to start nesting quite early, don't they. There's no activity round our nest box yet, though.

Eva and Cooper were pleased to see each other. GD2 arrived home while I was there so it was lovely to have a little chat with her. We've got visitors tonight, so I'd better get tea sorted and rustle up some nibbles to have with a drink later.

It's tomorrow we are having GS3, it was GS2 from school today. He has just gone home.

We were going to have Chinese for tea, but we each thought the other had phoned to order it. When we realised and OH phoned quarter of an hour ago there was a two hour wait! We are having fish and chips Luckily we both love fish and chips. OH has gone to get them.

Daisy, hubby rang his pal, and he has a very bad upset stomach.
He was disappointed at not being able to go out. He's hoping to be well enough for their usual meet up on tuesday.

We are going to the farm shop then onto the garden centre.
There is a DIY shop near the garden centre who are having a sale, as they are relocating and hubby just can't resist going for a look.

Yesterday was a lot brighter day weatherwise but we had rain last night.

Nanto, I'm sure you (or your OH) will find something irresistible at the DIY shop. What a pity it's closing down, though. Hopelly your OH's pal will be ok for their next trip out. There seems to be a lot of Norovirus about just now. As if we hadn't had enough with all the bugs and lurgies!

GS3 is coming so mummy and daddy can get on with decorating. The forecast isn't good here and we have a Tesco delivery booked this afternoon, so we may not get out with him.

We had a flurry of snow during the night,
I was up till 2 am and it looked like it was staying but it had melted by the time I got up again.
It's very dark and wet now.

Another DIY fan in the making.

Hubby didn't buy anything in the sale at the DIY shop.
Only problem is, they are relocating to a shop in the town centre.
So, every time we go to Wakefield,he'll be wanting to go for a browse.

Hubby's pal doesn't think he'll be well enough for their usual tuesday meet up.
He says he's never spent as much time in the house. He likes to get out and about.

It was snowing about 5.30, but its turned to rain now.

Not much happening here today. Not expecting any visitors, but you never know.

Got a lamb fillet in the slow cooker, so it's roast lamb dinner today.

Not much housework to do, but no doubt I'll find something to do.

Nan2, roast lamb is my favourite.
We had a little snow yesterday morning, very brief. It looks wet this morning.

No plans today apart from looking after GS1 at some point whilst DD1 goes to the cinema with friends. DD has told me her friend's DD had to go to A&E last night so she's not sure the cinema trip is still on. I will wait to hear.
