Sainsburys are due soon so I'd better have a shower and get dressed.

Plant, I hope all the moving plans for your GD and her partner go smoothly.

It's still the lurgy house here,
B no better he's so drained, DD not much better and it's 4 weeks for her.
Considering how fit she is it's floored her.

Although I'm now over the worst it's the tiredness and aching all over that's got me ,
One consolation I slept well last night ,

I managed to do most of my housework this morning, the rest I can do in dribs and drabs as I build up the energy.

The house move started early, I bet they were excited, they are going to sleep on a mattress on the floor tonight, bed bring delivered tomorrow. I shall miss them being here, they will only be a short drive away.

Oma, I hope you and B will soon be free of the nasty virus, it has really knocked you for six.

I am going to the local Senior school for lunch and entertainment today.

Hallo everyone, everyone seems to be busy, I have hoovered through when I got home from doing the coffee. One lady comes to the art class on her mobility scooter, she was saying she was the first one in the village to have one 35+ years ago, she had spent 5 years in bed after a very bad accident and getting the scooter opened up her life again! She comes each week, in fact she is a very active lady, I often see her on the scooter, she has recently been to South Africa for a month visiting family, now I will get back to my story, she was told last week that the scooter won't be allowed in the building any longer, they say where there are houses above that the scooters are banned, now she is a very independent lady and got it touch with the fire brigade, police, council etc, they all gave her the same answer, only, there are no houses above where we are! She has advice and could fight the decision, if she had the energy she said she would as well.

We have 40 apartments, there is a storage for the scooters here, but only 5 places so the rest are just left near the stairway on all the levels. I am going to get in touch with the cooperation next week and ask how safe they all are!!

Good afternoon. Just back from the library, the afternoon tea went really well. It was packed, more people than I have seen there before so hopefully a good sum raised. We were raising funds for a local nursery which is run by people with special needs and local volunteers. It’s always good to visit there and the plants are excellent value so was nice to be able to support them. The local Tesco supplies the cake, tea and coffee and the library staff work had to organise everything.

its very cold now but feeling festive with all the lights on and the tree lit up. Settling down for the evening now, I came home with mince pies and fruit cake so that’s tea sorted. They always share out any cakes left so we usually come home with something.

Oma I do hope you both feel better soon. A good night's sleep is at least a bonus.

Well I thought my cystitis was just about finished. I was fine this morning. However before I even got to school this afternoon I was feeling uncomfortable. It's a 40 minute plus journey back on. Friday afternoon. On the way home I knew I wouldn't make it so dropped into a branch of Morrisons and used the loo! Drinking plenty of water again now.
You are supposed to steer clear of coffee and alcohol and I did have a small coffee when out with my friend. It wasn't strong though so I'm not sure that's why.
Just water to drink for me this evening when our friends are here.

Oma, I'm so sorry B and your Dd are still poorly. And you still need to take it easy, young lady. There were a couple of substitutions. One was ok, the other I sent back.

Enfys, the afternoon tea sounds like a really worthwhile and enjoyable event. I'm sure they would have raised a good sum. Enjoy your mince pies and fruit cake.

I think it's gone much colder this afternoon.

Lizzie, I don't think discrimination against users of mobile scooters would be allowed here - the anti-discrimination laws would ensure reasonable access. I do hope the lady fights and wins!

Gem, your tree will be up before ours. We ran out of time today and OH is out this evening. We have visitors for coffee and lunch tomorrow, so it will probably be Sunday before we do ours.

Plant, has it stayed dry for the house movers? That makes such a difference. I bet they sleep well tonight even with just a mattress on the floor. How did the afternoon at school go?

OH has spent most of the day Vax-ing carpets - they all needed a good shampooing. But it looks as though the machine has sprung a leak, so the rest will have to wait. I have been doing some thorough cleaning - I like to give everywhere a spring clean for Christmas. Tonight I'm going to make lunch for tomorrow's visitors, bake a banana cake and I've just put a loaf on. And there's dog food waiting to be portioned up as well. I think I've got a busy evening ahead.

have you Canesten tablets and cream? I find they are brilliant for cystitis, I always keep a pack in.
Its one of those things that seems to take ages to clear doesn't it. Plenty of water or cranberry juice.

I think your friend has a case of discrimination against disabilities.
Maybe it's because of all these E bikes catching fire but I think mobility scooters have different batteries.

I got all the windows cleaned inside,and just as i had finished the window cleaner came.
He had good timing.

Not been good weatherwise today. It was really murky this morning.
According to the forecast,there will be some sunshine tomorrow.

Gem, our posts crossed again! What a nuisance about the cystitis. Gallons of cranberry juice and plenty of water will hopefully clear it up. I had a bout of it a few months ago and got Cystopurin granules. You mix them with water and it's supposed to be a 48-hour treatment. I've only had cystitis once before and way back then you could get a solution - called pot. cit, mist I think - and the granules are potassium citrate, so presumably the same. Anyway, it worked, but I did keep up with the cranberry juice and water for about another week, just in case.

Just sat down! I made bread, a lentil dhal for lunch tomorrow, a banana cake and portioned up a couple of kilos of dog food. Then I realised I didn't have any dinner tonight, so I've had a banana. Can't be bothered to get anything else.

Nanto, I hope you're right about the sunshine for tomorrow.

Need some things from the butchers and a few other bits.

Crossing fingers, the cystitis calmed down again after a few hours and was OK later evening, overnight and now.
We are going out for lunch with my auntie G to a pub few miles from where she lives. It is her birthday on 27th, so I will be taking her Christmas and birthday cards.
