    Poor thing Oma.

We have been to the local park with GS2, to meet up with his friends.
It was sunny but very cold so we are glad to be back at theirs, especially OH who is still not 100%.

We are having fish and chips for tea. GS, OH and me.
GD and her boyfriend are babysitting and being bought pizza for themselves and the children they are looking after. So takeaways for all

Oma, hope your sister heals soon.

Gem, speaking of fish and chips, we had them at the garden centre today.
Not had them there before, they were very nice. Will definately have them again.
When we ordered them, she said do you want large or small,we opted for small in case we didn't like them.
So glad we didn't get the large ones, we would never have eaten it all.

Got all the birthday cards for next month. They were half price,so that was a bonus.

We've had quite a bit of sunshine today, it was chilly but nice and bright.

How funny, all those fish and chips today. I hope you all enjoyed them.

I spent the morning doing chores, but OH was happy watching tv late in the afternoon so I took Eva into the Forest and she had a good run round in a quiet area. It was very muddy though and I was glad I'd taken wellies.

Good morning, hoping all the poorly people feel a bit better today.
Oma, hope you're mouth is less sore.

            No plans for us today.

I bought some pigs in blankets for Christmas, but forgot to cook them, so we are having some today. To be honest neither of us are really bothered about them, but we refuse to let them go to waste. Probably have mash and veg with them.

It was a clear sky last night, we could make out the planets lined up.

              Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, how nice to see thoe flowers in such lovely warm colours. Roll on tulip time. You've reminded me we've got some chipolata sausages in the freezer which I 'lost' at Christmas - I suppose we ought to eat them up soon. I forgot to look up at the planets last night. Lucky to have clear skies. Enjoy a relaxing day.

Grauntie, did you manage to find the right size foil cases for your air fryer cakes?

Gem, I hope S is feeling better today. You realise how grown-up your GCs are getting when your GD and her boyfriend are babysitting! Doesn't time fly by!

Oma, how is your sister today. Those bruises sound horrific, and she's very lucky she didn't break any bones, poor lady.

Plant, I hope the birthday party goes well today. Your DD is a star catering for so many, and it would be lovely if you had another sunny day.

Lizzie, how are you today? Is the cream working?

We've got no plans for today. OH is still asleep after a very disturbed night (for both of us), and I am tired. I don't feel like doing much. It's dull and cloudy and not very warm, so not much incentive to go out at all.

                Morning Nanto/Ladies

We have a very hard frost again, hopefully it will thaw soon.

My mouth is still sore so I'm going to the Dentist in the morning I think I may have a infection.

Waiting for my BIL to ring , my niece who lives with my sister was rushed into hospital early this morning with severe headaches and a dangerously high BP , what else can happen in that house.
She's 47 very overweight and eats all the wrong things , it has to catch up at some point .
Mind you she has been a big girl since puberty so it's not just a recent thing.

My sister won't have it that it's a factor and as she isn't well herself with the fall I'm not going to argue with her

I have the washing on ,did the lights and now the towels are in .

B has woke with a rattling chest and cough again , it's taking some shifting ,

Good morning, a lovely morning here after a frost.

Daisy, yes the cream is working, I have to keep applying it as it is painful when it works off. My fever is certainly dropping so going the right path.

Oma, your poor sister, first the fall then this to cope with.

I have the washing out to dry, it will soon dry today.

Oma, try and rinse with salt water, that will help to stop the infection.

Lizzie, that cream sounds like magic - it's working very quickly, although I'm sure it doesn't feel that way to you. Is the fever related to the shingles? Do you dry your washing on your balcony?

Oma, it must feel like one thing after another what with your sister's fall and now your niece being rushed into hospital. I do hope it's nothing serious and they can get her BP down quickly. Perhaps your sister thinks there's nothing she can do to help her DD with her weight problem so copes by denying it could be an issue. Does your sister eat a healthy diet?

Daisy, it is the same cream as for cold sores, the same virus! Yes the fever is from the shingles.

My washing is blowing lovely on the balcony, in the sun!

They have just built an apartment complex close to the village, I pass it daily, most of the balconies are facing east so they won't get very much sun, or light.

This is the site, I can't see the English version. https://www.wonenincasavita.nl

The apartments could have a smaller balcony on the other side of the block.

Lizzie, thank you for the link. Those apartments look beautiful and light and spacious, but I agree. You need sunny outdoor space and putting the balconies on the east side isn't great. What a pity balconies on a sunnier side weren't thought about at the design stage.

                          Good morning everyone.

Nan2, that is how OH and I feel about pigs in blankets too! Some people love them.

Oh dear Oma, I hope you don't have an infection, good idea to get it looked at.
I hope your sister is OK xx

A restful day in order for you and OH Daisy.

The fish and chips were lovely thanks Daisy. They have good fish and chip shop near DD2's. Inaptly named The Happy Haddock! It has recently reopened after being closed for repairs. It is on a road between York and Selby, and a DJ driving home from Leeds at 2am left the road and crashed into the building It is presumed he fell asleep. Thankfully no one was hurt including him!

OH had a negative covid test, so just a cold/other virus. Hopefully she's on the mend now.
Today's plans are hair colouring and housework!

I hope everyone is well or at least improving today.

My sister just rang , my niece is home with several meds ,
They managed to quickly get her BP lowered,
Did a full MOT and advised she see her own Dr to talk about changing her meds to the ones they recommend.

                            Daisy
My DS does eat healthy stuff but like everyone has days she doesn't.
I think it's not the amount my niece eats as she suprisedly doesn't eat a lot it's the stuff she eats ,
Pasta , pastry, chips etc .
Maybe this will make her look at what she's eating but I doubt it.

She's a grown woman so not a lot my DS can say.

A day doing nothing won't hurt for you and J and you will still be walking Eva 😁

Pleased to hear the dream is working,
I am rinsing my mouth with warm salt water 4 times a day and at the moment taking pain killers regularly.

What a shame those apartment balconies are facing the wrong way ,
A design fault there isn't it, they do look lovely inside though.

                            Gem
Pleased S tested negative and she's starting to feel better ,
Hope the hair colouring isn't messy 😀

Gem, glad to hear S is feeling a bit better.

Oma, glad your niece is home, maybe she will change her diet or not.
I hope rinsing your mouth with salt water is helping.

                              Lizzie,glad the cream is working.
The new apartments look very modern, shame about the balconies.

A bit of a breeze blowing now and its raining quite heavily.

It’s a horrible day here! We took Bess to a beach which has grass above the pebble/sandy beach. We go there most days. It was mega windy and freezing. Lots of kite surfers were taking advantage and it was great to watch. Glad to get home to the warmth though.
Daisy, I did find the right size foil cases. I returned the tiny ones to Amazon via Asda (new experience) and while I was there had a look for bigger ones which I found at a third of the cost of the others. Winner!
Oma, I do hope your mouth isn’t so sore by tomorrow, and Bs chest improves soon.
I am getting my sewing mojo back so that is where I’m going now.
