Doesn't feel as cold this morning. Hope we get rid of some of the white stuff.

Plant, little H must have been shattered, bless her.

Daisy, a busy week ahead for you.
Hope the dogs get on well.

Oma, I can see the resemblance of you all in the photo. It's a lovely photo of you all.

I'm going to get some meat and potato pies done for the freezer. Cooked the filling yesterday in the slow cooker, and I'm using ready made pastry, it makes life easier.

I took some steak out of the freezer last night, doing chips, peas and onion rings with it.

        Good morning ladies.

Yes, definitely not as cold here this morning Oma.. enjoy IKEA!

Nan2 it's good to get meals in the freezer. I must get some more done soon.

Aquafit this morning, and I 'm having reflexology this afternoon. She comes here so no need to go out again.

We need a couple of things we couldn't get in Aldi, so OH will nip to Tesco.

I hope this is a good week for everyone.

          Good Monday morning, everyone.

It's less cold here as well, and no overnight frost.

Nanto, my OH says can he pop round to help you with the steak and chips! I'm afraid he means eating, not cooking.

Oma, poor B, what a dreadful start to the working week! Have you got a long shopping list for IKEA or is it just serviettes?

Gem, a healthy day for you - aquafit and reflexology. You should sleep well tonight, you'll be very relaxed.

It's been a busy start to the day for me. Sainsbury's arrived just 5 minutes before my hairdresser, so I just shoved anything vaguely edible in the fridge. I'll sort it out when I start cooking in a few minutes. I want to get two evening meals done so I'm not rushing round while our visitors are here, and I'll try and do some baking as well. I'll see how it goes.

It's such a sunny day, I'd like to give Eva a good walk as well.

A busy day Daisy but a good idea to get some meals prepared when you are expecting visitors. I hope the dog situation resolves its self.

Oma, you are kind to B taking him to his favourite shop.

Gemini, you should feel nicely relaxed after aqua and reflexology. Enjoy

Nanto, I am not a steak lover so I will not be inviting myself to dinner today. H didn’t seem well yesterday but I. Think she was just tired after her party.

              Daisy

You have a busy day ahead again haven't you,
Serviettes were the main thing but then we had a browse , not his favourite pastime but he tolerated it well.
I bought some coat hanger covers for my wooden coat hangers , it's like sleeves so you can hang woollen things on without getting lumps
I also bought a couple of photo frames for the pictures of my sister's and myself.
We then treated ourselves to breakfast in the cafe 😁
I have put a picture of the covers on as they are hard to explain.

              Plant
I hope it's just all the excitement of her birthday party and she's feeling better today.

              Gem
              Enjoy your aqua and reflexologyxx

Oma, I guessed the napkins purchase would be bought. Those coat hanger covers look good.

We thought H was going down with something and although she cried when her mother left her at pre-school she was fine there and went to her swimming lessons later.

Oma, i've seen those covers for coat hangers, but i can't remember where.

Plant, hope H is still ok.

I made 4 meat and potato pies,so they will keep us going for a while.
No room in either freezer, so can't make anymore ready meals just yet.

Plant, pleased to see H is ok and enjoyed her day at nursery and swimming.

Oma, those hanger covers look great. I try to keep 'good' hangers for things that could go out of shape easily, but they would save a lot of bother. Well done to B for surviving IKEA without too much trauma.

Nanto, you've got an excellent excuse to have a few days off cooking if your freezers are so full.

                    Gem, how was your day?

I cooked up a storm in the kitchen today - industrial quantities of cottage pie, chicken curry and Thai fish cakes with crushed buttered new potatoes and veggies. I was absolutely shattered, but had taken Eva for a good walk and we had had a visitor this morning, plus a busy start to the day. I'd just finished the last dish and made us something for tea when the phone rang. It was my SIL saying she and her OH had gone down with the flu, so couldn't make it after all. Their DD is still coming, which is lovely, and I've now got a few meals in hand for the next lot of visitors!

Here’s a funny thing. We were going to a dinner this evening and OH picked up the keys to my car instead of his. He shut the front door before he realised he had the wrong keys as my house keys are on a separate bunch (he has his with his car keys) .We were locked out! Worse still, we got into the car to drive to DD1’S to borrow hers and somehow he managed to lock us inside the car! It wouldn’t start, the doors were all locked. There we sat on the drive, two bewildered pensioners. I saw the funny side of it, he did not! After going through the handbook from beginning to end he eventually managed to unlock the doors and start the car. All was resolved, keys borrowed and we weren’t late. I still think it was funny, he doesn’t.

                      The grub sounds scrumptious Daisy!

Good morning everyone, I have some kind of cold (virus) the last few days, I slept most of yesterday, I hope I am feeling better today!

GM, what a carry on with the keys.

Daisy, you will have ready meals for the next visitors.

Oma, I must be like your B at Ikea!

Good morning. It's definitely warmer and all the white stuff has gone.

Grauntie, i thought it was funny, your tale about the keys, but then it hadn't happened to me.

Lizzie, hope you feel better soon.

Daisy, the meals sound scrummy. Due to some of the visitors not coming, you'll have a good supply of homemade ready meals.

Dinner today will be something fishy, as in taste not dodgy.

                            Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Grauntie, that's one of those situations that just keep getting worse, isn't it. I don't think my OH would have seen the funny side either, but it would have been my fault for not having door keys on my car key ring. (As it happens we both keep car and door keys on the same rings). I bet you both know things about your car you never knew about before.

Lizzie, I hope you're feeling better today - there are some horrible bugs around. Take care of yourself.

Nanto, yes, the freezer is pretty full, but I wouldn't have done so much cooking in one day had I known! Doesn't that picture of the swans and the lovely grass and trees make you think of summer.

We're out for coffee and lunch today, but I need to take Eva out for a good walk first. There's no frost but it's bitterly cold. Roll on Spring. My GS2 is 20 today. How did that happen! We'll see him at the week-end, but I think he's booked himself a couple of days off work today and tomorrow. He hasn't said much about what he's planning to do though!

                              Good morning everyone.

                              Grauntie, oh dear!!

Lizzie there seem to be so many bugs and viruses this time of year. I hope you feel better soon.

Nan2, that photo reminds me of the cottage we have stayed at a couple of times, with the lake and swans behind.

I have never seen those hanger covers Oma. Good idea.

Daisy, Happy Birthday to your GS At least you have plenty of back up freezer meals now! Enjoy the coffee and lunch out.

                              Library for me this morning.
No GS1 as he is coming on Thursday this week.

                                Good moaning.
OH has confessed. He thinks he was pressing the boot opening button on the fob instead of the main opening button!
He has woken up with the sniffles, obviously a major illness. We went out with friends on Saturday and now M has a chest infection according to her husband. I had flu which affected my bronchiectasis, so I cough. The accusing look I got from M’s husband was terrible. I felt like Typhoid Mary.😬
It’s a beautiful day here, Bess is chivvying us up to go for her walk.
Got to think of something to do with chicken for tonight, I fancy something lemony.
                                Have a good day ladies.
