Good morning all.
See you later Nan2!
Lizzie - Daisy and I both had a few problems getting on yesterday too, but managed it eventually. How annoying that your knee cyst has filled up again!
Library this morning, then lunch out with my two school friends. We always have a good time and stay several hours chatting

Got disturbed, thought I might loose the post. This is yesterdays post!
Nice and sunny here atm, not sure what the forecast is. DD and Sil are away abroad for a week from tomorrow attending a wedding, GD2 was supposed to be a brides maid but can’t go because of her pregnancy. Hope that baby doesn’t decide to arrive early, it seems to be happily snug atm.
Gemini, That GS of yours sounds a delight to look after.
WG, pleased to hear your op went well, I think I will be in line for that soon. I expect you will miss your GS now he is at Uni, has he gone far and what is he studying? H has enjoyed her first full week at school. I hope you were not disturbed too much by that noisy children’s party over the hedge yesterday.
Nanto, I suppose it is time to plant some bulbs but the plants in the pots are still in flower.
Lizzie, welcome home, travelling is so tiring and you didn’t seem to be away for long.
Oma, Has your GS only got one more year at Uni? I hope you manage as Nana nap. Are you missing the dog? What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Hopefully baby will wait till your DD is back home.
Gem
Did you enjoy lunch ?
Daisy
Hope you had a nice morning with your neighbour 😁

He's happy to just monitor him for the next few months, he thinks now he's off that horrible meds it will increase slightly.
I was going with him but my heating decided to stop working so had to wait in for the engineer,
All fixed now ,he put a new control panel on

I was like Nanto - today ended up busier than expected. Mainly phone calls, but I did a couple of loads of washing and got it dried outside. Just the ironing now! In the end the friend didn't come for coffee. She called in to see her DD for a couple of minutes and was longer than expected, but I'd invited her because her dog was having surgery today and I didn't want her to be sitting at home on her own (her OH was out) worrying. So as long as she had company it was ok. And, as I said I was on the phone for ages, and at least got the washing done.
Nanto, at least you don't have time to get bored.
Oma, that's great news that the kidney specialist is just going to monitor B for a few months. Fingers crossed that is all that will be needed. I know what you mean about the hoover smelling doggy. Ours has a built-in air freshener, but it still gets whiffy.
Plant, how is your sore throat today?
WeeGranny, have you dared to step inside your super-clean, gleaming en suite yet?
Lizzie, you must be very disappointed that the cyst has filled up again. Take care of yourself. xx
Gem, I bet you and your two school friends had a lovely time putting the world to rights today.

Oma, fingers crossed being off those tablets improves B's kidney condition.
I had a nice lunch and catch up with my friends.
OH made a very nice sticky toffee apple pudding with custard tonight. I had chips with my lunch, I am never going to lose any weight!!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning, Gem, you only live once! Enjoy the food!!!
Oma, I hope that B's kidneys now improve.
So much for my "resting my knee" yesterday. I got some knitting sorted out, got sat down when GD2 phoned, DS1 and DIL are in New York. She was cycling home from school and the back wheel stopped turning!! I said that was impossible, no nan, it won't turn! She had carried it so far then when she got to the village she couldn't do it any more so left it and phoned her father, he said to try and get it home, handy when you are in New York!! She then phoned me, I told her I hadn't the carrier on yet but I would get on the bike and see what I could do, I went down and luckily the young man that helps me with the carrier was in his garage, he fixed it for me and off I went. We went to the village, she was right, the back wheel won't turn, we got it on the carrier so it is at their house now, I think (know) it will be expensive to repair plus the fact the repair shop is so busy it would be Christmas and she does need the bike to get to school. I have had a look on market place and found one for her, exactly the same as she has but in better condition!!! The one she has now was her sisters so not new. We are going for it on Saturday afternoon, further than I hoped but it is just what she wants!!
Then I asked M next door if she could use her bike a few days to get to school, M never uses it, why I do not know, I pumped the tyres up, had a meal then took it to their house at 7pm so she can get to school now, she is having tests etc as it is her exam year so she doesn't need to be stressed about how to get there. Me neither!!
Daisy, I am disappointed the cyst has filled up again, so quickly, the young physio, a nice young girl, told me it usually happens.I just don't want the pain I had the last time though.
On another note, does anyone make carrot soup, either with ginger or coriander? We had it with lunch last week in Beverley and it was delicious. I went to the garden centre yesterday, only the food part of it, for some fruit and veg, I got the carrots and I am going to make it is my slow cooker.
Nanto, your busy day seems like the one I ended up having!

Good morning.
Lizzie, glad you got another bike sorted for GD.
Sorry about your knee.
Oma, hope B's kidneys get sorted.
I think it will be a quieter day for us.
Only one errand to do. Need to go to the chemist to pick up meds. We'll probably go next door to Farmfoods for a browse.
Definitely having gammon and pineapple for dinner today.

Good morning ladies.
Lizzie, Grandma to the rescue again!!
Gammon and pineapple at last Nan2
Aqua for me this morning. My friend's car was NOT ready yesterday as they promised so Gem Cabs on the road again. They could have built a whole fleet of cars in the time they have had that one.
Tonight I am going to the theatre with another friend. A play based on a Morse story. It is at the theatre not near a bus stop (the other theatre has a bus stop right outside) OH is dropping me off. And I hope picking me up afterwards!

Lizzie
Oh dear I bet GD was in a panic about getting to school, how nice of M to lend her bike.
Fingers crossed you don't get the same pain in your knees , you will have to rest up more.
Nanto
Farm foods have Nescafé the large jars on 3 for £15 they were 3 for £18 a bargain considering they are £7.99 in the supermarkets.
Gem
What on earth are they doing to her car? I think she needs to push it. They are obviously doing others instead of hers.
Enjoy the theatre, I'm sure S will pick you up again 😁xx
Daisy
Have you heard how next doors dog is?
Plant

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.
Lizzie, yet again you come to the rescue, finding your GD a replacement bike. It's one less thing to worry about when she's working so hard at school. I hope that cyst can be drained soon. Take care and don't overdo things.
Gem, how lovely to have a lift to and from the theatre. Enjoy the performance. I agree with Oma, your friend needs to have a serious talk to that garage. It's outrageous that they are taking so long.
Oma, mmmm ... getting a mattress protector and having a browse round at the same time??? I think you might be going home with rather more than a mattress protector.I think our neighbour's dog is still at the vets - I'm waiting to hear how she (the dog) is. She's such a sweet thing, and gets on very well with Eva, but she'll have to have 3 months recuperation (cruciate ligament repair) which will be hard for her.
I had hoped to go to dog training this afternoon, but I had a sleepless night last night and am feeling tired and listless this morning. I'm going to have a relaxing day instead. OH has gone to his pal's to work on one of his old cars.
