Oma, i'm assuming the carpet is done now.

Gem, hope you both got all that you needed.

We didn't get much shopping when we were out, didn't need much but it got us out for a while.
Went for a pub meal and it was very nice.

Hallo everyone, I have been with GD2 to pick the bike up, it is like new! It is exactly the same size etc as the one GD1 has. It was further than I usually would go, but, it was worth the drive. A lovely man and his daughter welcomed us, the lady was working in her salon, I went to the toilet, placed my bag in the hall, when I walked into the room GD2 had made a friend and was devouring one of the cakes the young girl had just made. We went out to look at the bike, GD2 with a smile on her face when she saw it, we went out the back way, got to the car and I realised I had placed my bag in the hall when I went to the toilet, GD2 went back, no one answered the door, I went and rung a few times, what I didn't know was the man and the daughter had left though the back, there was another daughter having a shower! She did open the window but at the same time her father had stopped at GD2 as he thought she had trouble getting the bike on the carrier, he rushed back to open the door so that I could get my bag. GD2 said how friendly they were, they were as well.

When we got back to their house she had a ride and said it was like a new bike, well it will be compared to hers.

GD1 had hoovered etc so all it tidy for the parents arriving home in the morning.

I will get my tea sorted out, my washing dried whilst I was away so get that put away as well.

        It's a Vax platinum max ,
It's very good, we all use it , us, DD, and Dorothy and James borrow it also,
So it was worth the money .

Thanks Oma, I am thinking of getting one.

That bike sounds a success Lizzie .

Nan2, OH unfortunately didn't find what she was looking for. I however came home with some black patent shoes from M&S We bought the food we needed from there to save us going anywhere else. We also had lunch out.
This afternoon I went into the kitchen to set a loaf of bread cooking, and then ended up making a pineapple upside down cake and a honey and mustard sauce for chicken.

            Good morning.
Hubby just gone to a car boot sale with his brother.

Lizzie, glad GD is happy with the bike. Luckily you managed to retrieve your bag.

A few weeks ago, I bought a large chicken. Hubby cut it in half because it was big, and so that it would fit in the air fryer.
Took one half out of the freezer yesterday, but it's hasn't thawed out yet, so will have it tomorrow.
Might have to do jacket potatoes today with tuna mayo and cheese.

              Morning Nanto,Ladies,

              Nanto
Isn't it annoying when that happens and you have to re think a meal.

I love a black patent shoe,
Pineapple upside down cake yummy ,and honey and mustard sauce is a favourite also,
It's one thing MIL likes as well when we do it with chicken for her.

Not a lot to do today ,
B hoovered through while I had a shower, towels are now in the wash ,
It's a bit dreary out but I think it's going to brighten up.

                Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Sorry I missed the boat, posting yesterday. I started then got interrupted and never got back to it! Nothing exciting was happening, but just one of those messy bitty days.

Nanto, At least you can look forward to the chicken tomorrow, and today's meal sounds tasty anyway.

Oma, we've got a Vax carpet cleaner and it's very good, but huge and heavy. We're looking for a handheld spot cleaner just for the odd dirty marks, and OH likes the look of the Ryobi attachment one. We can't decide if it's worth the money (he 's got lots of Ryobi attachments) because the reviews vary from "brilliant" to "utter rubbish"!!

Lizzie, how lovely that GD2 is so pleased with her new bike.

Gem, you must have had your domestic goddess hat on to make bread, and delicious cake and very nice sauce as well.

No plans for us today. It's raining and looks set to continue, so definitely no gardening.

                  Good morning to all.

Yes, Daisy a very rare Domestic Goddess moment for me

It was very dull and dark here Oma, but has brightened up considerably.

You cant go wrong with baked potatoes Nan2. Tuna mayo with cheese is one of my favourite fillings (along with Coronation Chicken)

No plans today but we may go to the nature reserve and seek out that elusive kingfisher! DD1 may call in for some apples but its not definite.
I have booked the hotel for our Abba Voyage trip so although I am still in my PJs at almost 11 am, I haven't been totally idle!
                  Off for my shower now.

                  Have a good Sunday ladies.

DD and Sil still away, back on Wednesday. GD’s OH cooked us all a chicken dinner, very nice but it was a bit cold by the time he had carved it.

Gemini, I would love to see a Kingfisher, apparently there are some on our local streams. I love jacket potatoes, cheese and tuna are a favourite.

Daisy, We haven’t had rain today, chilly but sunny here.

Nanto, I can eat jacket potatoes anytime.

We had a bit of drizzle early this morning, then sunshine all day.

I haven't done a lot today, just made sure everywhere was neat and tidy.
Oh and i amended my Asda order.

We didn't go to the nature reserve, we may go tomorrow.

I seem to have more or less frittered the day away. It is Sunday though

It was wet and miserable all morning, so I got nearly all the ironing finished. Then the sun came out in the afternoon, and I took Eva for a long walk in the Forest and down to the river. She enjoyed a little paddle - the water levels are very low after the dry spring and summer. On the way back I saw a couple with a little girl lighting a fire. It's illegal in the Forest because of the risk of wild fires, and I didn't know whether to say anything or not. In the end I told them very politely that fires, barbecues, any kind of fire were illegal and can result in a large fine. They were also very polite and put it out immediately. I was very relieved, because you never know how someone will take well meant advice.

By the time I got home OH had cooked dinner, bless him.

                            Good morning ladies.

Daisy, you were right to speak to the couple about lighting a fire. Hope they didn't relight it after you had gone.
Lovely for you to get home and find dinner was cooked.

Gem,you are allowed to fritter the day away.

I'm going to clean the bathroom. Hope i can get the towels out on line.
We will have the roast chicken dinner today.

                              Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I'm sure you will enjoy the roast chicken dinner just as much today

Daisy good for OH making dinner, and to you for speaking to the family. They obviously didn't realise.

Aqua for me this morning, picking up car-less friend on the way. It only adds about 7 or 8 minutes to my journey. It's just remembering to leave that extra time.
OH and I may go to the nature reserve this afternoon.

                                Morning Nanto, Ladies.
It's a bright but crisp morning
Nothing planned for today will just see how it flows.

B has a habit of fighting in his sleep and sometimes kicks or lashes out,
Last night he punched me in the nose, luckily I was far enough away to just get a graze of it so didn't hurt ,
                                But woke me sharp.

He always says to wake him if he starts but poor man gets little sleep as it is so I usually just move away or go in the spare room.
He also twitches when he's dropping off to sleep.

Aparently Martin and my DS do the same things .
