Oma, update on the dog. They are just on their way home with her - she's very drowsy, but they will have to keep her almost sedated for a week - just being taken into the garden for essentials - and then several weeks of crate rest, which is hard for an active Spaniel.

Lovely and sunny here ATM. Board games for me this afternoon. DD and Sil at the airport atm catching a flight to attend a wedding abroad (can’t remember where), I just hope that baby doesn’t put in an appearance in the next week. . GD2 was here yesterday, she looked a bit tired although she said she is sleeping well. I am going to post this note as I have been having a problem posting.

Oma my opinion is they should have paid for a hire car for her as she has been without it so long.
It is supposed to be ready this afternoon now. I will believe it when I see it and remain on standby for driving her to Friday aqua class!!

Poor dog , won't be easy when it's a active dog .
You are right not to go to dog training when your not really up to it ,

We went to Dunelm and I bought the mattress protector along with some Joseph and Joseph chopping boards for GS as he said he only had a small one , plus some new bedding for him ,
We bought all his bedding when he moved down there 2 years ago but I thought he might need some new .

They have a wall of self checkouts now and only one staffed cash till,
The queue to pay cash was massive.

Had a rubbish afternoon playing board games but I really only go for the company and to keep the brain working.

Gem, i didn't see the coffee in Farmfoods. Was it decaf do you know.

Hubby's pal was having some more work done on his car today.
Hubby followed him to the garage and brought him back to ours.
His wife is visiting her sister,so we asked him to stay to dinner.
Not sure what the menfolk were doing,but they spent a good few hours in the shed and garage.
Hubby took him back to pick hie car up about 5ish.

I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the fridge and also cleaned all the drawers in both freezers.

Two loads of washing done and they are almost finished drying
I had put the washing basket on the landing and B took it down when he got up at 4 and put it on for me .

Been to Aldi,
B has some dental work to be done at 10 to prepare for a crown fitting , then we have to take MIL for a chest x-ray at 1.30 then to Morrisons for her shopping. so a full day for us

It's quite cold out we have the heating on low just to keep it comfortable.

Nanto, I'm sure your fishy dinner will be tasty, not dodgy! Your quiet days always seem to end up busy, but it's great to have company and your family and friends must know you give them a warm welcome.

Oma, a busy day for you, and for B. I hope MIL is on her best behaviour for the X-ray and her shopping.

Gem, your friend is being very patient about her car. I think I'd be jumping up and down and putting pressure on them by now. Perhaps Plant's comment is true. Sometimes it's nice for someone else to take the responsibility of driving.

Plant, sorry your board games wasn't one of your best, but as you say it's the company, keeping the grey cells active, and just going out. Fingers crossed the baby knows not to make an early appearance while your DD and SIL are away.

It's a lovely sunny day here as well, Gem, and quite warm out of the wind. OH is gardening - the recent rain has given the weeds a boost, and the front garden needs a tidy up. I'll hopefully cut the lawn after lunch - the dew's too wet in the morning, until the sun gets on it. But it's lovely and green - apart from the bare patches where the soakaways and Eva have done their worst.

I'm still feeling tired and no energy, and I think it's because I'm half way through a chemo cycle but now I'm on monthly injections for the immunology I don't get the steroids which turbo-charge my get up and go! You win some, you lose some.

Oh dear Daisy, its no fun feeling tired and not being able to do things you want to do, but I guess you just have to go with the flow with these things and accept the enforced rest!

Gemini, I think that your friends car should be fixed by now, I hope you don’t have to go out of your way to pick her up.

No help today, my lovely cleaner has a migraine so will not be coming until Monday. This lady is very good and very quick but so far not as reliable. My GD is going for an interview for a job tomorrow, now H is at school she feels she should get a job. Not many jobs are suitable as she has to have the holidays off, this one is at a private boarding school, just cleaning. Her qualifications are in animal care and her experience is mainly with horses.

Nanto, something fishy sounds good.

MIl was quite good today ,
No moaning and chatty, we left her at 4 and came home.
We had taken 5 meals and I put a hot pot in the oven before we left.

I had washed the dogs toys and hung them on the line so when we came in I brought them in ,
They weren't quite dry so I have hung them by their ears from coat hangers and put them in the boiler cupboard,
Storm won't be impressed that they have been repaired and washed and all the squeaky's put back in .

Just sat down when Bs sister rang,
MIL had rang her in a right mood insisting she went up to sort the TV out as she couldn't remember what channel her program was on or what button she had to press,


SIL tried to tell her but she started screaming down the phone at her ,
So she had no other option but to go.

She doesn't do that to us as I won't put up with it,
I said to B she's been no bother all day why carry on like that now.

I said to the memory Dr she was like Jekyll & Hyde

Daisy, sorry you are felling so tired,but i know its all part and parcel of the treatment.

I had a busy morning but it was of my own making.
Spent a couple of hours making different variations of mash for the freezer.
