We have decided next year we are tagging on to our Martin & Clare when they take Lucie our Martins GD to the Panto ,
We love Pantos but not having any little ones to take we couldn't go so Lucie will be our excuse

Went to Asda then into our shopping centre and found some very expensive Christmas cards in one of the little independent card shops reduced from £6 for 6, down to £2 so bought 3 boxes
That's the type of bargains I like

Plant I always use Elmlea single and double “replacement” cream. It keeps for ages and is every bit as good as fresh, they also do whipping cream as well (although I am non violent!).

Husband has gone on a mission to the local town. I dont know what mission so I am guessing it is something for me. I offered to drive him but, as usual, Mr Independent insists on going on the bus. At least it isn’t cold.

I have put the dishwasher and washing machine on a clean cycle and just realised where the grey cat print sock I lost has gone - still in the washing machine getting an extra wash!

Have got my clothes out for the Christmas foray. Red sparkle jumper and black chinos, red lace knee length dress with cream long cardigan which has pearls and sparkles on, navy lace shift dress and plain cream jacket, black wrapover dress and red/ black brocade long jacket. Just got to sort shoes but I think I will just take one pair of black and one pair of nude heels and some flats which I will keep in my bag for when my feet start to hurt. They haven’t been the same since that fall I had in Barbados about four years ago. Shame as I do have a lot of very beautiful shoes.

OK got to go as must sling the sucky upper thing over the carpet and sort out my toiletries etc, See you all later

All,went well at the hospital, all the tests, exercise etc were fin. Thank goodness, we were both relieved to get it over. So nice to know all is working as it should. His appointment was 10.30, we got there just after 10 as we had left early in case of heavy traffic. Got seen straight away, all done and dusted in an hour, brilliant. Now relaxing with a cuppa ☕️

OH NO! Sucky upper thing has stopped working working what a tragedy! Unfortunately I am sure husband will be able to fix it or else we will have to brave the flipping crowds tomorrow and buy a new one.

Husbands gloves turned up and they fit (bruddy well should do for forty quid). I remember now that when I bought his last pair I had to get them from Debenhams as the supermarket clothing ranges call them XL but never ever fitted him. Husband came in today from the shops with a beautiful bouquet for me, see picture. Once they start opening they will look stunning.

Bought some new jewellry from Debenhams on line yesterday (not that I really need more jewellry if I am honest but is is Christmassy red) thought it would arrive today but it hasn’t. Hopefully tomorrow will see it pop through the door.

Pleased to hear that Enfys, you and OH do not need any more stress.......

Enfys, I'm glad to hear all went well for OH. Last year first I had to cancel mine due to norovirus. Then I had to have it the day before my op. They forgot me and we sat for over an hour in a tiny waiting room until OH chased it up. Then the nurse was a nasty bitch! I was ultra stressed that day, and the day of my op I was calm and fine. You don't need stress at these times and I'm so glad you didn't have it!

I have done all the things outside of the house I wanted to do, and spent lot of time just crawling in traffic!
I am going to put the marzipan layer on the Christmas cake, and steam the floors , then wrap OH's presents. Then just relax and wait to go out

Enfys that’s good news, you can enjoy Christmas a little better now x

Plant I also use the non dairy cream, it lasts longer than fresh cream and it tastes like cream . The only downside I find is that it takes longer to whip .

Zizi if if you have to buy a new cleaner have you thought about Argos , some of there items at an be delivered within a few hours, just thought it might save a trip to town as it will be packed with last minute Christmas shoppers.

Talking about Christmas delivery my black bin arrived today.....go on admit it ....you are all just a bit envious aren’t you
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma does it help if you snip the pollen stems off when they start to show? I must admit I have a reaction when the pollen starts to go powdery. Was a problem when we had the florists shop.

Mimi yes you are right, I forgot about that. I got a hissy flat thing from Argos a couple of weeks ago. Husband has got it going again but I have never been happy with it. I wanted a G20 (or something) and he got a hoover, it is always getting clogged and it isn’t even as if the place gets dirty, there are only two of us for goodness sake. I might wait until after Christmas and sneakily buy one that I want. I am not a great house worker so when something houseworky doesn’t work I find it very frustrating.

We havent had a black bin for years. We have dark green, light green, brown wheelie bins which take up too much space and are ugly and a smaller food recycling bin. So yes I am envious.....
