Well it is chucking down the snow down now and it is pitching. Just found out that hat husband was looking for is not his woolly one but a big wide brimmed one I bought him for Christmas last year. I know where that is!!!!
As it looks cold outside I have just had a bowl of porridge and now I am going to have a hot chocolate. No I am not cold really but just looking out of the window makes me think I should do justice to the snow 🌨🌨If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Good morning all.
Snow is forecast but none in sight yet. It looks as though Mimi has it instead!
How awful for your family Avo! Lucky they have you to take them in, poor things. I hope you are coping with the house guests
Good to hear you had such a lovely time with your friends Daisy. It would do you lots of good
I'm glad to hear OH's eye drops turned up Zizi!
Keep dry Clover!
A Christmas themed day here today. We will go into town after breakfast to follow the ice sculplture trail*, and probably stop off for a warming coffee somewhere on our way around. Then home to put up the Christmas tree. Not sure if we will do the outside lights today, it probably depends on snow, or lack of it! I will also make my mums Christmas cake.
Have a good Sunday everyone.

Morning folk no snow here and I don’t want any, we have a carol concert to go to at 4 ish so it’s getting dark then and that’s bad enough without snow, thev service is 5 mls away too, eldest g/d is singing. Apart from that a steady away day.
Avo what catastrophe, a few years ago our neighbours had a flood started the day before Xmas eve due to a frozen pipe that burst they were out xmas shopping, water was running down the stairs like a waterfall, so we had 2 unexpected guests over Xmas apart from the 3 we had invited but we had a really good Xmas with them to be honest , hope all will be sorted for them
Daisy I’ve said it before but friends visiting are a breath of fresh air aren’t they
Zee you have to go to Specsavers 🧐🤓
Clover if I had a choice of snow or rain it would be rain , stay in and keep warm
Gem enjoy your festive day it feels chilly out there wrap up warm

In my defence ladies he is in charge of his eye drops, I only usually touch them when I am fridge clearing. We think maybe when the door got shut hard they toppled off the shelf. No matter, he always has sparsa so he didn’t go without his medication it was just frustrating knowing that they had to be there somewhere. Snow has stopped here now. None of mine are in school productions this year as they all have permission for time out of school to go to USA for Christmas. We usually get to see at least one of them so we shall miss that. Never mind, they have promised to face time us on Christmas Day.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

A total white out here, must be 3/4 inches and it is still coming down. GD has just been out to clear a path to the back of my garage but I shall not be setting foot out there. I topped up all the bird food yesterday so pleased they can have some food, I presume the dratted squirrels are asleep. I am hoping SIL is going to get my Christmas decs. down today, at least I can get on with those.
Pleased the eye drops saga resolved itself Zizi.
Hope your son gets off to Portugal alright Qwerty, my GS1 is on his way back from Budapest, he has been on a stag do.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

It has started snowing again here Plant. Wouldn’t call it a total wipe out though. Think you probably get it worse than us. Husband is at work. Lots of cancellations. He is glad he is in the office today doing a job he doesn’t usually like (allocating seats and sorting out stand by and missed plane passengers. He always says that when it snows staff get the blame. They have their own phrases they use when people get abusive like “I might have to push that let it snow button again”. Heathrow should be able to cope with a bit of snow, my company built “Snowbase” which is on the perimeter road and cost millions and houses about 25 top of the range snow clearance vehicles. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Just had my delivery of the hissy thing from Curries. The courier from DPD got a telling off. I saw him coming up the path and was halfway down the stairs when he almost knocked the bruddy door off the hinges. First he rapped the knocker like a madman, then immediately after he banged on the door then he immediately rapped the knocker again. I called out from the bottom step that I was coming and when I opened the door I said that he didn’t have to nearly knock the door down. He said well it is raining, No I said, it is snowing but you still do not have to bang so hard and so quickly. Not a word of apology. There are times that I think this on line shopping needs a few rules like 1. Yodel do not chuck my parcels over my garden gate 2. Couriers do not hammer on the door and then leave the item on the garden table in the rain because I haven’t got there in 2 seconds flat. 3. Do not leave parcels on the road side of the gate. 4. Do not leave a card to say nobody was in when they are and have been waiting in all day
kind regards
Grumpy old lady
