I always feel bloated on the plane especially a 4.5 journey and jeans have no give always end up with stomach cramps just saying 😀

Qwerty - I go for comfort when I'm travelling - and most of the rest of the time as well!

Gem - I had to smile about your mum eating a raspberry and custard doughnut with a dodgy tummy. I hope she's ok with the blood test on Monday and for seeing your sister on Thursday.

Q My jeans are stretchy and I undo them anyway, that is why I wear a loose top so nobody can see, because we are staff travelling we have a kind of dress code we have to adhere to. Used to be you Could not wear jeans at all at one point but now it is a bit more relaxed. Ours is 8 hours journey but I don’t care because the weather is going to be lovely when we get there

Feeling as mad as hell at the moment

Apperently us ‘ baby boomers ‘ are now to blame for the housing shortage as we are ‘ are so selfish ‘ .
Is there anything left to blame the over 60s for .
Exuse me while I go and put my hair shirt on and bang my head constantly with a hammer 🔨 as punishment for being born when I was , how inconsiderate of me

Right now Mimi , calm down , you are having your blood pressure measured this morning.

          Rant over

Good morning everyone, it’s cold this morning so wrap up warm .

Good morning Mimi. Got to blame someone for the housing situation i suppose, but why pick on us.
My BIL will be 60 next week, and he's just found out he won't get the winter fuel payment next year.
According to him, us older people have used all that money, and none left for him.

It's not frosty this morning, but it's certainly cold.
No cooking today,it's fish and chips.

Gem, it tickled me,your Mum saying she had a dodgy tummy while eating a doghnut.

            Daisy,lunch yesterday sounds nice.

I know Mimi, I had a conversation with a young person at work a couple of months ago and he was saying how we had it all as in free uni education, cheap mortgages etc, etc. And we didn’t want them to have the same. So I did a quick bit of research and converted money then to money now and actually in terms of housing we were paying much more plus it was not as usual to go to uni or buy your own house then. It was more renting ( mostly with outside loos) and getting out to work to earn some money. I remember saying I wanted to go to college and uni and my parents thought it was hilarious. I think that a lot of us scraped by as we grew into parents hoped for the best (well I know I did for many years). Oh well.

We are all packed and ready to go, frosty outside but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Black socks with little Chanel type pumps is not the greatest look but who cares, I hate my feet being cold..... leaving home in half an hour.

Zizi , safe journey and have a relaxing, enjoyable time.

Nan2 , the winter fuel payment age requirement seems to be changed every year, just as you see your self qualifying the age is moved on another year . I think I am right in thinking that if you were born after August 1953 you won’t get it . I was born after that date but ‘we’ get it as OH was born before August 1953 .

Mimi husband gets it as he was born 1951, he also gets free bus pass which is good as he doesn’t drive due to his eye problem but I won’t get my bus pass until I am 68 and that is really moving the goal posts as my retirement age (don’t get me started) is 66. Still at least I get free prescriptions not that I have had any for ages and I qualify for an “elderly” National Express bus card which we pay for anyway but does give us discounts.

Am at Heathrow waiting for NE bus at the moment. Bruddy cold so waiting inside, small child screaming it’s head off while what I take to be the parents sit faffing around with their mobiles. Err excuse me child in need of attention.......

Good morning all. Very frosty here this morning, just need to go out at some point to get Petrol. DH is coming with me for the ride (and I think to make sure I do it right!).

Glad you had had a good night Oma. What a pain about the missing blood tests. I’d forgotten about your nieces op, hope she is doing well.

Our lovely neighbours are moving today 🙁. They are a lovely young couple and we get on very well with them. Yesterday evening they came round with a pot plant for us and a lovely farewell note. Henry (their 3 year old) gave me a kiss, he’s so sweet. We will miss them and I hope the new people are as nice. Apparently they are another young couple, no children as yet so fingers crossed.

Have a good day, keep warm.

Good morning, ladies. It's bright and frosty here too, but should warm up later.

Enfys - I hope your OH wraps up warm and gets his chauffeur to warm the car up before he gets in. Fingers crossed your new neighbours will be as nice as the outgoing ones.

I'm waiting to see how much it warms up before I decide whether to work in the garden or in the house today. It's the first day I've been at home this week, so there's plenty of choice!

Oma - what a fantastic sleep - you must have needed it. I somehow missed the news about B's bone marrow tests going missing twice. I hope he has better luck with the latest one. It's goo to hear your niece is getting out and about.

Nanto - enjoy your day out of the kitchen. what are you doing today?

Gem - I hope you're ok today. You've had a busy week as well!

                            Good morning everyone.

Bon Voyage Zizi , go and find that sun
                            Oma, you needed that sleep!

GS2 day today. I may take him to the park later, but it is very frosty at the moment. No GD to collect later as it's the monthly after school film club.

                            Have a good Friday!
