This morning we are going to the rented house to measure for a new cooker and for OH to do something to the garage door. The tenants moved out yesterday. Thats is our second lot of tenants and both have left the house in immaculate condition.

Usual Thursday later, Mums shopping etc. I also have t pack for London today and make up the spare bed for the cat sitter.

Well in this country we can never get bored with the weather Yesterday at this time it was bright,cold and frosty.Today it’s damp and overcast.

Good morning all. We were going to have an early start, but it's too late for that now!!

It's dull, damp but not too cold, so we're going to take Eva up to the paddock for a good run and then come back and plant up some lovely banana plants a friend gave us yesterday. They're fairly hardy, he says, so can go in the front gafden next spring, but the friend says to keep them in the frost-free greenhouse over winter. I'd better get the heating on in there - it was pretty cold last night!

I think after that it will be a quiet day recovering!

Gem - thanks goodness your tenants have left the house in good condition. I hope the jobs don't take long. Have you got new ones lined up?

Nanto - I think you do very well, looking after two homes. It can't always be easy.

Clover - I'm trying to ignore the h......k!

Plant - an exciting day for you, then! But I do think we need 'quiet' days sometimes, and you have a busy social life between family and friends.

Enfys - hoping today brings good news after last night's shock. xxx

Morning ladies , just sorted all the stuff to take to the tip and loaded the car ,
All the white goods from the downstairs loo we took out and the tiles we took off ,
Bits of wood and a draw unit that was in the shed and gave up the ghost ,

Gave the Dog a new toy this morning within 5 minutes it was in the bin , he had ripped the insides out and left white wadding all over the garden

Next door who has mental health problems is having a episode again , her support workers have been there all yesterday and during night ,
As we were packing car she came out to ask if we are putting anything personal in our bin as Big Brother is watching ( as she pointed skywards ) and they are raking through everyone's bins during the night

I think she may end up in hospital again

Good morning all
A bit overcast and miserable today, just the asthma clinic to attend this afternoon could do with out it as I havnt used an inhaler for 18 mths might get a discharge you never know.
Hope Enfys is feeling ok a real shock for everybody

Nan2 I’ve said it about Gem but you are an amazing well daughter really the support you give is as good as any Dd could give

Oma you never fail to tell us a story everyday, wonder what will happen at the tip got to be something 😀

Clover housework is supposed to be therapeutic but we all know that’s a load of rubbish

Gem I wish the renters next door would move 😟 they live in perpetual darkness never open their curtains day or night , nobody works ,there is a tree growing out of the fence at the back which was a weed and it’s hanging across the pavement by halfway just at child level, but they have just bought a 4 wheel drive Volvo 40 grand brand new beggars belief, never speak or look at you keep their heads down I could go on

OH was advised to come back to garden centre in March as there's nothing he can do about it at the moment! He forgot to ask what it was!!!

Qwerty, your neighbours are probably leasing the car, I think a lot of people do that these days, then change it when the lease time is up. Can't be seen to be driving around in an 'old' car !!!

Sun shining off and on here.Walk done,windows all cleaned, ironing ready to be put away, wash on.....and I've got a free afternoon. Yippee!

Clover - I agree about like being a b****r sometimes, and good people should get a better deal.

Qwerty - I bet your neighbours haven't bought that car. They've probably just leased it, but if they're living on benefits you do wonder how they can afford to do that. I hope your Karcher is still on charge, so you're having a rest! I never knew housework was supposed to be therapeutic - that's great! I could be really kind to OH and let him do some of it. I hope you do get a discharge from the asthma clinic.

We took Eva for a run in the paddock and she was so good and responsive we played ball with her - we can only do this when she's relatively calm - if she's hyper she'd never come back to us! We were so late back, we had an early lunch and I'm now ready to get cracking on planting these banana plants up, and getting some other pots ready for new plants.

I keep thinking about Enfys and hoping she OH is ok.

Oma - it seems impossible to make a dog toy that can withstand a really determined chewer. We're lucky with Eva, although she bashes her toys about (a bit like a JR shaking a rat to death) she doesn't chew them much. but I bet Storm's teeth are nice and white!! Your poor neighbour!

I had to scroll through to see what the thing with Enfys was, how awful for her.

Qwerty I get really mad when I hear stories like that. My brother and his wife are on benefits as a choice. They had one child (well he was hers on her own before they met) then went on to have four more. He gave up work to “help with the baby” when their first came along and has never worked since. Now I don’t think you should be stopped from having children because you are on benefits but that is taking the P a bit in my opinion. In addition to that they are in social housing (nothing wrong with that either) which is huge and in the country and they have a pony, two Great Danes and various other animals. I don’t speak to them anymore but one of my sisters told me that they have just got a Discovery and a caravan because they cannot afford to go on holiday!

There are people in this country who desperately need help, somewhere to live, someone to love them, feed them and nurture them and people like my brother and sil get everything.

Oh dear rant over!

oh and by the way the thing beginning with H is just NOT therapeutic at all, that is a big fat fib.

I don’t know if they are on benefits ladies he was made redundant I’m told and sold their house a terrace house wonder if they are living off their profits, they are a young couple so don’t think the house will have been paid for so maybe they have some disposable income, he hasn’t worked sine beginning of this year they have a son 3 yrs old she has another 2 children to her first partner and he has 2 children to his first 😨 they I would say are in their early thirties, the house is a thousand pounds a month unfurnished , maybe it is leased the car and it’s really none of my business but it just makes you think doesn’t it
