Good Monday morning, Nanto and everyone.
Nanto - I bet your -in-laws always look forward to seeing you.
I used to grow pansies year round, but a couple of years ago I bought some tiny, very pretty violas. They are so dainty but flower right through the winter - and they have a lovely scent too. Enfys - have you tried primroses - they flower on and off through the winter too.
A busy day in the Diasy household - getting ready to go away on Wednesday this mroning, then GD2 this afternoon. I need to get most things ready today because Tuesday is very busy. <Whispering, just in case> but the weather forecast is quite good, so hopefully not the gales we had last time.
Have a good day, ladies.

Good morning all!
I hope we all do have a sweet week Nan2!
You have all reminded me that I need to buy some pansies or violas for my mum. The baskets I planted out for her for summer look a bit ropey now. I may have to pop into B&Q!
Daisy, keeping everything crossed for lovely calm weather while you are away!
OH, my auntie and I are going to the marina for lunch today. It's only a few miles away and will be a change for my auntie.
I have 2 days childcare after today combined with other things, so a nice relaxing day today is a good start to the week“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning ladies ,
Nanto love the Graphics , You are a very good DIL they would be lost without you ,
Daisy I do hope the weather stays nice for you
Gem the Marina sounds a nice place to have lunch , we have just been to B&Q they have a good choice of plants in . our B&Q have over 60s rates on a Wednesday so good to buy then for the discount .
Was thinking about getting the ladders out to clean the guttering on the utility roof ( single story extension) but its forecast high winds hear on Wednesday and lots of leaves will come down so I'm leaving it till Thursday ,
Went to Sainsburys this morning for some veg for tea I wanted Turnip but they all huge , managed to get a half one in the little veg shop near by , Why they don't sell smaller ones I don't know ,what about people who live alone they don't need a huge one ,
Having to do the Chicken in the slow cooker as oven wont be fixed till Thursday I hope anyway , if they don't have the part or we have to wait we going to reject it and opt for a different one .Im not fat just 6ft too small

A good mid- morning from me.
Daisy are you going back to the caravan site you were on before?
Gem hope you have a lovely lunch. It's so nice for your aunt to be taken out for lunch.
I had to phone a plumber this morning as the overflow from a tank in the loft is constantlydripping. I hope it's a small job but I've a horrible feeling he'll say we need a new tank as it is a bit rusty. That's why I've been putting it off.I found the plumber on " Checkatrade".He is fairly local and has excellent reviews ( at least the published ones are! ) so fingers crossed
Have a good one everyone.

Chilly day here, but dry.
Popped into our community centre this morning whilst DH was having a blood test. Bumped into a lady I'd met last year when we got chatting about art classes, she'd invited me to join a group of other ladies in an informal art group, of course I'd never got around to going. But bumping into her today reminded me so I went along to meet them all. A very friendly group and I am going to join them next week. So this afternoon I have been sorting out all my art supplies, looking forward to it although I am a bit rusty!
Dexter (DD's dog) is with us this afternoon, he's so funny...wraps himself up in an old blanket like a sausage. Really makes me smile, bless him 🐶😃

I was supposed to be on my day off (four day week working) today. It is only the second one (day off) and I spent most of the day flitting between the work computer, printer and kitchen/bedroom/bathroom in between sorting out Wednesday/Thursday/Friday because another company who was supposed to be collaborating with us for a “Budding Brunels” event and have done precisely nothing, I have made a pork casserole for tonight, a bolognese sauce to make a lasagne later in the week, changed the bed, cleaned the bathroom, put a wash on, put some charity stuff in a bag and nearly killed myself falling over some large artificial flowers for the charity shop which had slipped off the pile in front of the bathroom door - I went flying through the door and at least the sink was far enough away for me not to bash my face on it! I did say a rather rude word.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Qwerty, your tea sounds lovely!
I forgot you were going away, Nan2, How nice
I hope you enjoyed the art class Enfys.
Good grief Zizi, be careful!!
We had a nice time with auntie. She had never been to the marina, and after lunch we drove down to the locks to show her that as well.
We only had sandwiches but they were big, and we shared a portion of chips between the 3 of us. Followed by 2 slices of Maltesers cake (between 3!)
OH and I think we will just have beans on toast and fruit and yogurt tonight!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Nan2 I can't remember where you're going? I'm sure you'll have a lovely time wherever.
Enfys, that sounds like my sort of art group, friendly and welcoming,I envy you
Tizzy what a day.Trying to juggle half a dozen things at once.
Gem that sounds a lovely lunch I bet your auntie loved the whole trip
Well the plumber came and as expected advised a new tank. He could have sorted out the dripping but I agreed to a new tank because it would only be papering over the cracks.I'll get an e-mail with estimate etc. I hope it can be done soon as I don't want it constantly dripping while we are away in a couple of weeks.I'm just glad we're not on a water meter.

Qwerty - how lovely having a week off - of course you can join us.
Clover - it's not the same site, but not too far away from there. We haven't been to this one before, but it looks nice:
It's better to get the tank replaced - you don't want to be worrying about it all winter.
Nan2 - your poor MIL, I bet she was upset about dropping the vase of flowers. Are you looking forward to your holiday?
Enfys - the informal art group sounds great. I'd love to find an art class, but I need some 'real' tuition and direction. It made me smile picturing Dexter rolling himself up in a blanket, bless him.
Zizi - thank goodness you missed the sink - you could have done yourself some serious harm, young lady! You've certainly had a busy day.
Gem - what a lovely day you've had. I think you said you've now got two busy days ahead?

Good morning Nan2 ☺
and everyone else!
Clover, new tanks are one of those things which we hope not to have to get, but we feel happier when we have!
This morning I have a library meeting, my first in my role as secretary. I hope I remember to write everything down!
GS2 from school this afternoon.
