Hell everyone. I tried to post earlier, but we had a power cut and it took ages for me to get my computer back up and running for some reason. When I switched it back on the bedside lamps in the room came on as well! EEEK!
So who is the idiot who got soaking wet going round the garden gently shaking the rain off the mop head hydrangeas because they were getting weighed down with the wind and rain?
I hope summer comes back soon - especially as next Saturday we're having GS1's belated birthday celebrations here.
Clover - it sounds as though the young lad did a good job, and I bet he was delighted to get some cash! Sometimes youngsters just need a break and someone to treat them like an adult.
Oma - I think you'll have to take to the gin bottle to get some sleep!
Enfys - I hope P is feeling a bit better.
Gem - I'm sure your mum enjoyed her day, and sitting watching snooker with S was probably just right. I bet she was tired by the time you took her home.
I ended up with a string of small jobs which all depended on each other! There were some potatoes from the allotment sitting on the work surface. I decided to wash them before storing them so I did that and laid them out to dry. I couldn't put them in the veg rack in the utility room because there was so much junk in that cupboard, and I couldn't clear the cupboard until I'd washed the bird feeders which were soaking in the utility sink because there was nowhere to put anything except on the floor. And I've still got a pile of ironing to do before fetching the GDs and Cooper tomorrow morning. Still, the bird feeders are clean, the cupboard is tidy and the spuds are in the veg rack. And I managed to have a long 'conversation' via Whats app with DIL1, get dinner, and have a chat with BIL2, and order dog food.
