Hell everyone. I tried to post earlier, but we had a power cut and it took ages for me to get my computer back up and running for some reason. When I switched it back on the bedside lamps in the room came on as well! EEEK!

So who is the idiot who got soaking wet going round the garden gently shaking the rain off the mop head hydrangeas because they were getting weighed down with the wind and rain?

I hope summer comes back soon - especially as next Saturday we're having GS1's belated birthday celebrations here.

Clover - it sounds as though the young lad did a good job, and I bet he was delighted to get some cash! Sometimes youngsters just need a break and someone to treat them like an adult.

Oma - I think you'll have to take to the gin bottle to get some sleep!

Enfys - I hope P is feeling a bit better.

Gem - I'm sure your mum enjoyed her day, and sitting watching snooker with S was probably just right. I bet she was tired by the time you took her home.

I ended up with a string of small jobs which all depended on each other! There were some potatoes from the allotment sitting on the work surface. I decided to wash them before storing them so I did that and laid them out to dry. I couldn't put them in the veg rack in the utility room because there was so much junk in that cupboard, and I couldn't clear the cupboard until I'd washed the bird feeders which were soaking in the utility sink because there was nowhere to put anything except on the floor. And I've still got a pile of ironing to do before fetching the GDs and Cooper tomorrow morning. Still, the bird feeders are clean, the cupboard is tidy and the spuds are in the veg rack. And I managed to have a long 'conversation' via Whats app with DIL1, get dinner, and have a chat with BIL2, and order dog food.

Yes Oma that is nice, he enjoys his GM and GD's company and you feed him well.

Gemini, I bet your mother enjoyed S company watching the snooker.

Qwerty, I used to cut my OH's hair, not that he had very much

Went to JL to return a dress and found a smaller size but now I have bought two dresses the weather decides to change. GGS and his parents were next door for lunch, popped in to see them, he is doing better at walking and has lots of words now. He couldn't understand why he couldn't go outside. Last episode of Poldark this evening, Sunday evening will not be the same .

A lot going on again. Thank you so much for the card Admin. It's much appreciated. I think I might be the only one enjoying the rain & cooler temperatures. Suits me much better. Oma I hope that M is over his food poisoning. Poor bloke.

Plant, Poldark was good wasn't it. Happy & sad. I won't say more in case it spoils it for anyone.

Has anyone heard from Libra? Wondered how her DD is & how the moves going. Hope everything's going ok for them all.

Clover, it was good of you to let the man cut the trees after your neighbours warning.

Oma and Nana, hope you are both sleeping now.

Very quick good morning from me.

At least the rain has stopped, but I imagine our kitchen floor will be a sea of mud with the two dogs running in and out today. Just off to collect GDs and Cooper, but have to dry my hair first!

See you later to catch up with all your news.

Well, we had rain all day yesterday and the water butts are full to,the brim. We both slept much better as it was so much cooler and it feels lovely and fresh this morning.

Thank you for asking, P is feeling OK, he had a day or two of feeling a bit woozy and tired but could still carry on with whatever he wanted to do. In fact he spent most of the time editing films on the computer which suited him as he was sitting down but still keeping busy. I kept him supplied with cool drinks and cups of tea and he was fine. We’re both happier with the cooler weather too.

We have Dexter later so like you, Daisy, am expecting muddy floors! Not sure what else we’re doing today, DH wants to go out this morning, but not sure where, depends if it rains or not. Have a good day everyone 🌞

                    Good morning everyone.

I hope the rain has gone where you are Nan2. It is fine here (at the moment)
Poor Libra, what a time she is having. We are always here for her.
It sounds as though your OH is coping well with his treatments Enfys.
Don't slip on all the mud Daisy

Lunch at a friend's house for me. I had a client at 4.30 this afternoon but have had to postpone due to badly bruised thumb, and the blister on my right index finger feels like a horrible rough callous now. Nobody is going to want to pay to be touched by me just now!!!
GD is coming to stay the night, ready for our seaside day tomorrow.

                    Happy Monday everyone

Lots going on ladies. Sorry to hear Libra is still not having much luck, do hope the move will go through soon so she can be closer to her poorly daughter.
My hydrangeas are quite small yet, new this year and last year so the heads didn't need shaking Daisy, it was a very rough day yesterday but everything in the garden okay.
Today the weather is much quieter, not sure what the forecast is. A trip to collect winter duvet from the cleaners, post a parcel and I have bowls later, much cooler to play this week.
Libra, pleased to hear P is feeling okay after a couple of days of feeling a bit off colour.
Daisy have fun with 2 dogs rushing around and amusing your GD's
Have a good day all, hope there will be some better news from Libra soon.

Morning ladies GS1 fed watered and sent off to Football training , done my housework and had my shower ,
We have his Marrow top up at 2 , was thinking of trying to restore order in the planting tubs but everything still too wet so I might flick the duster and hoover around the bedrooms instead ,

Oma, hope B got on OK at the hospital. We didn’t get out in the end, by the time P was up and dressed he felt quite weary and it was also pouring with rain so we didn’t bother. He was much better after lunch so we both pottered in the garden and he helped me trim some overgrown ivy on the fence. It was lovely in the sunshine without it being too hot which made a change.

Edited: Crossed posts Oma. Glad it went well. Poor Libra and her DD, what a worry.
