Afternoon friends just had a little shower of rain but still warm, got the dog and she’s driving us nuts guess she’s missing the family she never leaves our side and whimpers if she doesn’t get a fuss made, didn’t eat her supper last night, and took her time eating breakfast but eventually it went down. I’m just not used to dogs and she slept on my bed last night 😱 but I was able to leave the windows open no one is going to climb through she has a bark like a savage dog she’s a staffie so hardly able to do any damage.
Dd and family have been up in the air just over 6 hrs only another 4 to go 😱 I know nothing about planes except it’s a Dreamliner apparently it’s free alcohol, meals, etc all the way , think I would prefer to pay and have a shorter flight but the Caribbean looks amazing but too long for me

Food shopping done pilchards for dog Dd had forgotten for dog, not sure how we will manage to open the tin never mind the smell , you dog people must be very special folk !!!

Plant at last your new car a new start with this one, I had every intention of driving mine today but eldest g/d was sitting in the drivers seat with the top down in the garage, and this morning the battery was flat she had left the boot light on 🤨

Qwerty Storm has been off his food a few days, missing DD but I have just fed him a huge bowl of Tripe and he's finally ate all of it .
It's a worry when it's not your Animal ,

Saw my doctor (gorgeous doctor) this morning, the results of the blood test shows all levels okay now, calcium down, vitamin D good but he thinks the blood tests might be showing that I might have hypoparathyroidism, nothing to worry about but he is going to consult another doctor, sometimes they remove the tiny glands in the neck just under the jaw but doesn't think it will come to that, apparently they control calcium level. Because I have brittle bones, that can be a symptom but I don't have any other symptoms. I think he just wants to see me again. Usually have a G&T with GD1 on a Friday evening about 6p.m. but she has gone to a music festival with DS and DIL her uncle and aunt. I am sure I can manage to fix it without her. SIL is going to sort out some car insurance for me, that is going to be a shock. Have a lovely evening ladies.

Oooo, lots of people who I could plead with to do my shopping! I hate it - all of it. As soon as I walk into a shop my mind goes first blank, then panic mode. Yes, I do have a list, and sometimes I can even remember where I put it, but I look at it and can't relate any of it to what's on the shelves!

Gem - I hope you've had a good journey down to Stratford. Enjoy the party tomorrow now you're feeling fit and well again. x

Qwerty - Staffies are very loyal dogs so she probably is missing her family. They are often called 'Nanny' dogs because they look after the children in the family. Lots of dogs go off their food in hot weather, but I'm sure the pilchards will go down a treat, lucky girl!

When we were in American 3 years ago we went round the Boeing factory to see the Dreamliner being built. It is amazing technology and a huge plane. We watched a completed one roll off the production line, but to get it to the runway for testing they have to close two major highways! I'm sure the family will enjoy their journey.

Oma - I've given Eva tripe several times this week, but this morning it was a huge lamb trachea and meaty ox chunks, and venison tonight. Our dog eats better than us!!! Qwerty -0 Eva and Storm gobble their food so fast the smell doesn't have time to hang around.


Plant - it's rather nice that your gorgeous doctor wants to see you again (thankfully it doesn't sounds serious). As I was reading your post I read the next sentence as "Usually have a G&T with him"!!! Enjoy your lone G&T tonight anyway. I'll raise a glass to you in about half an hour, so you're not drinking alone! Cheers. xx

Hello from Stratford. Warm but cooler, and a few spots of rain, but it's welcome.
Quite a few roadworks slowing us us but we got here in the end.

That doesn't sound as if it is anything to worry about Plant, but no G&T, that would be a problem!

We had a bit of rain about 4pm,but not a lot.

I thought we would be going out shopping tomorrow,but hubby wants to paint his garage doors,weather permitting.

We will just do the supermarket shopping.

I've written about my day elsewhere. I was shattered when I got home about 2 pm. I went to bed late last night, got up early and definitely didn't have enough sleep. I had a little nana nap after lunch and then went to do a bit of gardening. Early night for me tonight!

We have had RAIN !!! Not enough to make a difference but rain nonetheless. We did the shopping, me mumbling and grumbling, him enthusiastic. Delia and Mary have come up trumps with some good old faithfuls so I know what I’m doing.

Qwerty, I like pilchards, it would have been one for me and one for the dog here. Oma, tripe and the rest has me heaving.
Nanto2 who chooses the colour of the doors? I do hope it is you. Orange is nice and cheerful. You could tell OH this and I am very sure he would down brushes and take you shopping immediately.

Night night all 🌛 We had a nice meal and catch up with our friends, who we will see again at the party tomorrow.
We surprised them by paying for their meal. They won't take any payment for the catsitting they do not even petrol money, so this is a way to thankthem.

Just manages to get Storm to go out for a wee , hes been asleep since we brought him home from Day care and he had his Tripe ,

SIL sorted out insurance for the arrival of the car and to celebrate we had bubbly instead of G&T, GD back from music festival found me in the garden in my nightie coming from my sunroom, I had left my IPad out there, she had a great time apparently, I shall hear more tomorrow.

Warmed up a bit now,from what it was a couple of hours ago.

Grauntie,the garage doors are cream at the moment.
He's doing them white,to match the house doors and windows.

Eldest grandaughter coming today with her partner.
No idea what we will be eating,her partner is picky.
He doesn't eat veggies. If he has a roast dinner,he will only have meat and roast potatoes.
Going to have to ring her and ask what i can feed him with.

Plant - celebrating your new car with bubbly sounds a great idea! I bet your GD wondered what you were up to wandering round the garden in your nightie! Hope she enjoyed the festival.

Nanto - picky eaters are so difficult, aren't they! My DS1 is picky, and thinks pretty much anything green is poisonous! Even I don't know what to feed him on half the time!

OH's woodturning club are having their annual barbecue tonight. For the first time ever I don't think I'll need to wear 6 layers of clothes to survive. I think 3 or 4 will be ok!!! I want to get on with gardening today, but it's slow progress with everything being so dry.

Does anyone one know when Clover is due back? I hope she's having a good time.
