We went to The Range and bought a new hosepipe, some bark, a garden clock and a few other things, and had lunch in the cafe.
I went with OH to drop off her car for a service this morning, and my have to take her back for it later, but it's more likely to be tomorrow morning.
We are catching up with soaps as we have been busy recent evenings, and are not tempted to sit outside today!

Oooo.... Oma you're making my mouth water. Wow he's good!

Daisy I really hope that you all have a super time. Poor GD is poorly today so we might be having her tomoro. Her mummy (our DD2) can't afford two days off. Had my skin thing removed at the docs this morning. No probs. Hope you're all enjoying your day.

Gem after Matalan we went to The Range and bought a hosepipe Is yours one of those bendy, curly ones by any chance.? I thought I would try one as my old one has a horrible,water-wasting leak.No coffee shop in our branch ,though I did say to OH that I wished there was.
Lunch was partaken at McDonalds, the only place for food around. Years ago OH refused to set foot in the place but he must have mellowed as he quite enjoyed his Big Mac and fries today. The coffee was quite nice too.It amazed me how busy it was, a very long queue for drive-thru and lots of people eating in. Amongst the usual youngsters and Mums with pre-schoolers there were quite a few grannies with GC and several oldie couples like us.

Hope Daisy has arrived safely. The weather improved here as the day went on.

I see some yummy cooking has been going on.Reminds me I should be using up last years frozen blackberries.

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies.

Poor little GD Nana, I hope she is better soon.

I saw curly ones Clover, but it was a non curly one which OH hopes will fit our reel. Our current hose pipe drive us mad, always kinking and you have to go back and find out where it has bent over and straighten it out before you can resume watering. It is ancient!
The cafe had run out of baked potatoes, and they gave me hot water and an Earl Grey tea bag rather than a pot of tea, as OH got with her regular tea. I wasn't totally happy!! McDonalds would have been better

I have just renewed our joint travel insurance policy. It is a depressing procedure, answering all the medical conditions and history, but now it is done for another year! We paid a bit more to include USA and Canada in case we get over to see DD and SIL later this year. We can make no plans as we don't know where they will be yet!

Oma, they were certainly good yorkshires.

Nana, hope GD is feeling better tomorrow.

We had several jobs planned for today, but friends called.
They only called for ½ hour, but were here 4 hours.
I baked a meat and potato pie from the freezer, and served that with mushy peas, and one of the crumbles served with custard.
They said they had enjoyed it, not a crumb was left.

                        Good morning all.

Nan2, I was going to say what Oma did, I'm sure they enjoyed the meal, especially when they arrived unexpectedly!

I have to drive OH to the garage to collect her car, then the Tesco delivery is due.
This afternoon, is taking my mum's shopping to her, on the way returning a cheap kettle she wanted and buying a better one, then planting out the bedding plants for her.
Out for a meal tonight with 2 of my friends, and OH is going to see some other friends, and share birthday pizza, as it is their son's 11th birthday today. So no cooking at all in our house tonight.

I hope everyone is OK and Daisy has the sun today

                          Good morning.

Nan2 if I had to feed unexpected visitors they would be lucky to get a toasted sandwich.

There seems, to be a lot of bedding plant activity . I will join in this afternoon. This morning I’m off to the hairdresser.

                          Have a lovely day x

Clover and Gem, you made me laugh at what you would give unexpected guests.

Speaking of kettles Gem, i have just ordered one.
I had a lot of points on one of the survey sites.
Also ordered the matching toaster. They are the same style as what we have, but getting a different colour.
Our toaster is ok,but wanted it to match the kettle.

My GD1 will take me food shopping tomorrow but I am needing a few plants for pots, might ask her to call somewhere on our way back. I hate being dependant on people for lifts, I need to get to the bank and the post office as well. My DD hasn't offered to give me a lift anywhere but she only has two days off and one of those she looks after baby E, or perhaps she is waiting for me to ask.

Get out and enjoy the sunshine everyone, I have decided no housework today, including you Oma.
