That's what happened here Oma last wk. The bottom of our drive was flooded as the grates couldn't cope with the volume of water.

Dad said we were forecast rain today,but we haven't had any.
Had some dark clouds alternating with sunshine.
Been another very warm day.


Well DS1 and GD2 have just gone home.
We all had fish and chips earlier, yay no cooking.
Tonight we had egg mayo and tomato sandwiches.
Both have taken some home.

Enfys - it has been hot today. I was sitting outside with a glass of wine about 8 pm and it was lovely. I know I'm in a minority, but I love this weather so much. And I've been busy today, but everything seems much easier when it's warm.

DS1 is arriving early tomorrow, probably with GSs and Bailey to help OH put our gazebo up. We think some of the family will need the shade, especially the 6-month old baby! We've worked really hard on jobs in the garden this week, and I'm pleased with what we've achieved. The barbecue is all ready to go and two fridges are bulging with food. I just hope there is room in the chest freezer for the dog food delivery due tomorrow afternoon!! Would you believe a great bit chunk of space is being taken up with super glue!!

After another hot night it feels fresher this morning but another hot day forecast. So we won’t be doing much, just can’t function well when it’s hot so another lazy day in the shade for us I suspect. I really want to do some jobs in the garden but they’ll have to wait. The grass is looking much better after all the rain last week so that’s good, I might even have to cut it sometime soon. Have a a lovely family day Daisy.

Cloudy but warm here. DD and family are at Lake Garda where the temperature is due to hit 40 * today! Hope they’ve got a lazy day planned.
Nothing special planned for today. DS1 might call in but depends on his partner’s work shift.
I’ve done a bit of clearing in the garden and kept the runner beans watered. They are doing very well and my neighbour and a friend have also been enjoying them.

It is wise to take it easy in this heat Enfys. It was a little cooler here yesterday, so OH cut our grass.

We had a lovely day yesterday with GS2, ever entertaining, and GD. When GS had his afternoon nap, OH, GD and I watched The Greatest Showman. It was GD's 6th time, and she was desperate for us to see it! We enjoyed it and are glad we have seen it at last, as is GD
Last night we went to a friends house and had a meal with her and her mum, a very pleasant evening.

This afternoon we are hosting an afternoon tea for two other friends, in our garden. If wet, indoors, as they say!

Morning ladies, another hot sticky night with not a lot of sleep , not that it shows in my appearance mind you .

Daisy enjoy your time with your family. We have GS coming to stay tomorrow . At the moment he is staying with his aunty and uncle , DIL sent me a message last night. She had just managed to get him to sleep at 11pm , he talked non stop . He informed her that he was getting up at 5am !!!!

We were up and out early today
Went to Iceland , Aldi , and B& M then into Peacock's to pick up some shirts B had ordered ,
all my dark washing was washed and dried before 8am
I slept from 10pm till 6 this morning and feel so much better , a lot more energy today .

Thank you for asking. P is ok but this heat doesn’t help, he gets very tired very quickly but he soldiers on. At the moment he is having a sort out in the garage! This heat tires me too, if just been trying to do,something in the garden but have given up until this evening, mad trying to work in this heat. I know,we should be grateful for the lovely weather but would like it a tiny bit cooler.

Morning. Clover I'd love to wake up & go to look at the sea. Is it any cooler on the coast? Everyone's busy busy. Going to try to give the house a good clean today as GS2 & GD coming tomoro for a sleepover. His mummy said he'd started packing at 8am as he's so excited.
