Oma these inanimate objects like to gang up on us Hope they soon get fixed and behave themselves in future.

Oma - you're definitely getting your fair share then. Let's hope nothing else goes wrong or it will end up being 6 things!!!

Clover - I do hope you feel better soon. xx

Mimi - I hope your basin gets fixed quickly - it sounds like a bit of a juggling act otherwise! Was it a junior or senior school? Quite a lot of schools adopted 'continental hours' years ago (I can't remember why!) where they only have very short breaks and ½ hour for lunch. But some schools have two sittings for lunch which made it difficult to get everybody fed! I think 8.30 is very early to start school, especially if you have a long journey like a lot of children in rural areas do, even more so in the winter, although by finishing earlier they can get home more or less in daylight.

My long and busy day tomorrow just got a bit longer because of road works on the way to GDs' tomorrow. The only reasonable alternative route comes out where the road work are, so I'd just get a different view of the traffic lights. I'll just have to leave earlier

We're going to a barbecue tomorrow lunch time. It's a social event organised by my OH's ex employer's pensioners club!! And we're taking GD2, which will be interesting. She'll be the youngest there by about 60-odd years! Then OH will come home and GD2 and I will go back to collect GD1 and take her home. Then it's a quick dash back to ours when the girls' parents get home and out again to dog training. So I look like being on the go from leaving the house at 7.30 am until getting home from dog training about 10.30pm. Still I can have a nice quiet day on Wednesday, apart from OH's woodturning buddies being here for the day, the hairdressers at 1.30 and a trip to the theatre in the evening. Everything happens at once!

It's been a bit of a rotten couple of weeks really. Getting better from op then get laryngitis with a terrible cough. Of course the cough impacted on my tummy wound. Yesterday laryngitis subsides replaced by a really heavy cold...still with a bad cough. Not sleeping well.

Got through a box of tissues tonight as nose & eyes won't stop running, coughing & sneezing. What a sight I must look. Hopefully when I wake up tomoro it will have peaked & I can start to get better. Getting a bit down in the 'dumpers' now. Chin up girl.😉

Nana, what a horrible time you are having, hope you feel better soon.
Daisy it was a senior school .

Its a foggy morning here at the moment, hopefully the sun will breakthrough eventually. It's early doors for me this morning as I am off to have my flu vaccination. I get mine from Boots as I have to pay for mine but OH will get his in October for free. Don't forget to book yours ladies as it's rumoured that this years flu will be very nasty!
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Daisy, I feel worn out just reading about your day . Hope it goes as planned, I wonder what GD2 will think of the BBQ, I bet she'll be a hit with all the "oldies"

                        Good morning all.

Daisy, I recommend several days relaxation after all this busy-ness!
Oh Poor Nana Feel better soon xx
Clover and Mr Clover get well soon as well, I wish you didn't have to work today Clover!
Oma, whatever you do, don't forget to buy napkins!!!

Today is my mums birthday. As I have mentioned previously she is reluctant to go out much these days. I usually take her out for lunch, but gave her the option of that or lunch here. She chose to come here. She prefers little and often eating, so I am not cooking a meal. I bought sausage rolls and quiches from the bakers yesterday, and we will have sandwiches, crisps, scones and of course birthday cake Fortunately all 3 DDs are able to pop in, although it is a work day, so that will make mum happy. OH at golf as it is Tuesday so competition day, but we will save some food for her.

                        Enjoy your day everyone.

Nana, what bad luck getting a very bad cold and cough when you have an operation wound, hope you soon feel better. Hope you Clover are feeling better, rotten luck having to go to work.

Hope your day goes well Daisy, it looks like a good day here, sun shining atm.

I want to get out and do some tidying up in the garden, our green bins have been emptied so I can get my piles of rubbish in, they don't stay empty for long at this time of the year and SIL hasn't started on the hedges.

Well I came home with one of these , its cream Leather ,
I have logic in my madness though ,
At Christmas time when I put my tree up the only place it will go is in the corner where B's chair is , His chair has to be moved over towards the Sofa blocking the living room door as its so large ,
So my thinking is to wrap the chair in blankets and bubble wrap and store it in the shed over the Christmas and this small chair can go by the sofa, I will use that and B can use my chair ,Sorted
Only went for a few bits and pieces didn't expect to spend £166 on a chair , Hes putting it together now moaning about the instructions
