Warm but very showery here. The furniture movers were coming at 11.30 so I spent an hour or so polishing the furniture in the garagebefore they were due , the BB would be proud of me, then just before they were due it started to rain and I feared my polishing was in vain. No worries they put lots of covers down to protect my new carpet so it is now all back in, I must say I am very pleased with it, just new curtains to choose now. I have all the books etc to put back but enough is enough for today, I am going to banish myself to the sunroom so I can't do any more. Too tired to play bowls.

Its been a lovely day here so far, hope it was the same for the teddy bears picnic.

OH has gone to see his DS in hospital who has just had a knee replacement op . I was going to go with him but I have had to stay home and wait for OH's new phone to be delivered it was promised for delivery on Monday morning and it's now Monday afternoon but then it is coming via Royal Mail so I expect it has been sent to deepest darkest Peru, never to be seen again! OH says I am getting cynical but I disagree, I'm just getting older and going by past experiences nothing surprises me anymore.

Qwerty, jacket potatoes aren't crispy when done in the slow cooker.I just pop them into a hot oven to crisp up a bit.
Had some surprise flowers brought today.Sister in law brought them, for running parents about to weddings and receptions.
It was a lovely surprise,but unexpected.

Had a lovely snooze in the sunroom, it was quite warm although it kept raining. Going to a BBQ tomorrow evening, I do not think we shall be outside, well just the cook. Must look out for a Band Buy.

Plant I had 15 mins in the sunroom I was reading a magazine and dozed off woke up when specs and magazine fell on the floor !!

Good evening everyone.
Qwerty I wish I had read your reminder about the towel before we set off! I had forgotten about the fountains.
Fortunately OH had 2 small golf towels in the car, so she went for those. GS played in the water in his pants, and we were able to dry him with the little towels and he had spare pants with him so we were able to put him back in dry clothes afterwards!
We all, had a great day, but all were tired at the end of it, and OH and I had to have a glass of wine with dinner!

We were lucky with the weather yesterday. Rain forecast here until Thursday. I don't envy my OH on the golf course today! Free day for me. Various things to do, but all day to do it. We are out for a meal with DD3 and SIL tonight.
