Better night last night.....maybe the wine helped!! Going to see doc on Tuesday, Daisy. Lazy day today. OH and DS watching cricket and I'm just taking a break from sitting in garden reading Sunday papers. Next door are hosting the annual Salvation Army Summer party. I had to laugh, he came round and asked OH if he'd help put up marquee, then came back and said he'd got someone else to help. OH was a bit miffed til I suggested that it wasn't very polite to ask someone to help you get stuff ready for a party that you weren't even invited to!! Mind you if OH had helped it would have put our neighbour off from asking him again......not very handy is my OH!

        Pottering days are good Qwerty!
WG, you made me laugh about your OH and his non handyness!
Good to hear the wedding was good nan2.

Well, we did lots of gardening. OH more than me as she has more stamina, but I did a lot!
Mum was very appreciative. We had a cuppa and chat with her before we left.

We hoped A, DD3s best friend who is getting married on Saturday was coming over. She phoned me not long ago, full of apologies, they are so busy with last minute preparations that time ran away with her, and she didn't check her phone so didn't know I had texted to say we were back from mums.! She is a bit 'flaky' anyway so I', not totally surprised I will see her on Saturday at the wedding, and she promised we will get together after the wedding. She lives abroad most of the time, so the times I see her are precious. She was like a 4th daughter for a long time, and I love her!

Roast lamb and bread and butter pudding for dinner very soon. We don't often do a full Sunday roast, I can't wait

MocoPlay have txt me out of the blue saying I have to type 'stop' to a number & if I don't they'll keep taking ยฃ4.50 per wk from me. Does anyone know if this is a scam? How do they know my number to txt in the first place? How can they know my bank details? The logical brain thinks ...maybe my 6yr old GS tapped something he shouldn't when he played a game on my mobile?

I've blocked & deleted the txt message. I hope I've done the right thing.

I've just googled this Nana. Interesting, have a look at Mocoplay and you should see the explanation, do you have a giffgaff account or pay as you go? It seems that the money is taken that way not from a bank. Sending "stop" appears to be the right thing to do. Have a look it explains it better than I can, hope this helps.

Enfys I saw this link earlier thanks. I'm no wiser I'm afraid. I really am stumped. I'm puzzled too because I've had nothing to do with them. I really don't need this today.

Oh dear, Nana, I'm afraid I don't know anything about it. Hopefully texting STOP has sorted the problem out.

Tomorrow we have GS1 all day. He will be with us (I say us, but I expect OH will stay in bed until a more reasonable time!) by 8am. We plan to go to Newby Hall where there is to be a teddy bears picnic and various activities. We went there with DD2 and the children a while ago and it is a very nice place. We will take a picnic. The weather isn't forecast to be wonderful, but fingers crossed the rain will hold off

If I don't appear here until tomorrow night, that will be why!

                  Good morning all.
Nana if you have given your mobile phone number when online shopping, buying insurance etc some unscrupulous companies sell your phone number on and that's how you get unsolicited texts . Personally I never type stop and send to the number given as sometimes it can result in a charge ( sometimes hefty) . I just block the number from where it has come from .
Gem that teddy bears picnic sounds lovely, hope the day stays fine for you. We are having GS to stay for a few days and I am going to have a look and see what is going on near us that we can take him to.

We we had a lovely day at Western Super Mare yesterday, the weather was perfect. The sun came out so we hired two deckchairs and sat on the beach just people watching whilst eating whippy ice cream. We then found a nice restaurant to have the obligatory fish and chip meal that is called for on occasions such as this. In a week's time we are going to the Black Country Living Museum which is very interesting.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                      Good morning, ladies.

                      Dull here too!

I'm already late to go and collect GDs - they're staying for a sleepover tonight, so I will get back on here when I get a few minutes to myself. Already tired after a very sleepless night - the steam engine snorting away next to me wasn't my OH apparently!!!

We didn't see the sun at all yesterday but no rain either so that was a bonus.
