Qwerty, we have been to Pugneys times many.
Eldest son came for his dinner,so him and his dad had salad with chicken in breadcrumbs.
I'm not fond of salad so i had cheese and pickle sandwiches.
Hubby gone to take son home, and sort something in the garden for him.
DS's arm is getting a little less painful each day,but can't use it yet. Has to go for a new cast on tomorrow.
It doesn't seem a week since he had his accident. Doesn't time fly.

Village Penn 7 and the Fun Run today, went to the corner to see them pass as GS was running, it was very hot for them all, little ones and grandparents running, some looked very unfit, prople in gardens they passed were spraying them with hoses. I had the pleasure of having mother and baby here waiting for GS to return, the rest of the family are at a BBQ in a friends house near the start and finish of the run. Big village event always run on Fathers Day. Charity was Mind this year.

        Hi everyone.
I call it a successful summers day, as I has all 3 meals outdoors
Breakfast and evening meal in our garden and picnic lunch out with the family.
We had wonderful time at Newby Hall, but it was really HOT.
GS2 (14 months) had his first experience of those interactive fountains which spurt out from the ground. He loved it!!

How lovely that you saw baby GGS Plant!

Good to hear DS's arm is less painful Nan 2.

We like to take advantage of the Two Dine In for Tenner, Enfys.

I hope you all kept cool Qwerty!

Oma, I'm sure it was lovely to see your GC

Daisy, I hope you haven't done too much in this heat.

Morning ladies ,Nanto I hope this one works for him poor man ,
Hospital day for us got to be there for 10 and typical I had the worst night ever so now with lack of sleep I have a headache ,
Two loads of washing on the line and all my jobs done for the day , Oven still acting up its heating up on ordinary oven but not the fan bit , its very temperamental coming on going off . Brian thinks its the thermostat so going to fit a new one see what happens.

Gem it was lovely to see them as you know I don't see them as regular as I used too but it makes it all the more special when we do ,
O who will be 9 in July had a very good chat about the government I was shocked how much he knew and understood ,I thought they were learning about it at school but its what hes watched on TV he was telling me all the pro's and cons for each party ,I was very impressed considering he doesn't like school and has no interest in learning , This has obviously fired his interest ,
S was as loving and cute as always she is such a giggler and a hugger we were showered in kisses and cuddles all morning
Have a good day ladies hope those looking after there babies in this heat keep cool and the day doesn't end with tears , xxx

              Good morning all!

Nan2 and Oma. I hope both hospital trips go smoothly.

Oma, some children are intelligent but not particularly academic, and when something fires their interest they learn it. Your GS sounds to be that way. I'm sure he will go far

SO hot already! An easy day for me. drive to collect GS1 from preschool and bring him back here. He is not keen on the sun , LOL, but as we have the gazebo up he can find shade. I intend us to lunch outside
Have fun and keep cool ladies!

Oh my gosh it was so hot yesterday for the picnic, lovely to watch little one play in the water but I felt like my head was going to explode, my OH this morning is very achy we can't sit on the grass like we used to do and the ground was rock hard on the old bums , was going to go to eldest g/d sports day but it's too much for us and there is no shade , hope you all manage to keep cool we are just off for a cooling fan the hairdresser had one last week and it's the best one I have seen so that's at Morrisons £10 cheaper than Argos but need to go there too as the house phones are on the blink and we have had them many years also a parasol stand for the new umbrella we bought, 2 lots of washing out just kitchen to clean and that's my lot. We have the twins tomorrow but the temp seems to be dropping tomorrow phew
Gem Newby Hall is a lovely place the water spouts are good fun not knowing which one is going to shoot up next, not sure about the swing bridge though . I like the little train too especially when we get off for ice cream ! You did right to take a picnic the cafe is mega expensive
Good luck for the hospital visits you ladies and your OHs

Good morning all. Another hot day ahead .

Oma and Nan2 hope all is well at the hospital .
Oma you never know what is going to take a child's interest, being a wiz at maths and English is the be all and end all is it ?
My three DC did very differently at school, the one loved all books , history and social studies ( Hence very up on politics ) . The other one wouldn't keep still from one minute to the next so reading wasn't something he would settle and do. He loved all things outdoors and sporty and he now works outdoors and the youngest love maths and so now works in banking . You never know what they will succeed in doing later in life.

OH has gone to have his eyes tested this morning so if he needs new glasses that's going to cost an arm and a leg that's for sure. Who are these people who. according to the ads we seen on TV , can by a pair of glasses for £69 ? I've never met anyone who has. I think if you have almost prefect sight and you still like the 'Deirdre Barlow ' look then perhaps its possible.

As its a nice day I think we will be eating outside today , chicken risotto is what I am planning to cook today, one pot cooking, just what I need on a hot day like today

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Sounds like an enjoyable time was had by Qwerty and Oma with the GC if a bit warm. I can't sit on the grass anymore Qwerty, I wouldn't be able to get up.

Hope the two visiting hospitals will have good results.

So it is O for Prime Minister then Oma,

Felt so hot last night, I had to put the fan in the bedroom. Now I am not complaining. Bowls for me this afternoon, I hope the hall isn't too warm.

Hope everyone is having a good day and not overheating.

Unfortunately my must- dos today have included cake making and ironing.I also had to go in the oven aka the loft to clear a space for ny next door neighbour plumber to come and sort out the dripping overflow from the cold water tank. I must be crazy

Sold out of fans at Morrisons gggrrrrr it's always the same with us we see them as we did on Friday but no we have to go and think about it, if we had jumped in and bought it there and then we would be complaining about something on the fan you can't win can you !!

Oma, DS has to have his cast replaced to reduce the risk of infection, where he was cut for the operation.
Qwerty, my hubby is like that,we will think about it. Now, i say we get it now or not all.He usually comes round to my way of thinking.

Just had a cool shower and put a cotton nightgown on , never worn a nightgown for a long time but think its the coolest thing I have , in fact it still had tags on from when I bought it a couple of years ago I like my PJ's normally .
I have every window and door open as wide as they will go but there isn't even a breeze , next doors cats keep sneaking in the windows and doors its driving B mad chasing them out at least that's made me laugh .
