    Good morning everyone.

I agree with Daisy that is was good that we had a mostly good weather half term and weekend. However this current weather is a word I should not use on here!!! Honestly! Knowing my OH is in sunny Portugal somehow makes it worse. Whilst being glad for her, I wish it wasn't quite so rubbish for those of us left at home
    I hope Qwerty is right.

Today I am meeting my friend for lunch in town, then going to a client at 4.30. I must see my mum, as I haven't had the chance to since Thursday. I think it will have to be after the client.

Have a good day everyone. It appears none of us will escape the rain and chilliness.

Morning ladies , we off to see my Niece this morning she's recovering slowly , taking her a few puzzle books she's bored with the computer and watching TV and sick of magazines so these will give her something to do different ,
My Sister and BIL are off on a coach trip today they were hopeful it was going to be a nice day but that's not going to happen so she's taking rain jackets with them , I tod her skin is water proof

Pouring with rain here atm, need to get to JL to return some purchases. Apart from that, no plans, stay indoors and watch the tennis.

Sounds like you're niece is slowly recovering such an ordeal for her, but glad to know she wants her life to get back to some normality Jean

It's been a wild old day, with really heavy blustery showers and a wind that sneaked right through the warm jacket I wore this morning! I've been making speedy moves from house ot car to house to car to house to car ..... It was one of those days when I would rather have stayed indoors instead of endlessly driving round. Still, GD2 was great fun, despite being a bit tired. I am now officially shattered!

Plant - you had the best idea - stay in and keep warm.

Oma - it's good news that you niece is slowly getting stronger.

Qwerty - how frustrating that the church hall was flooded.

Mimi - You were sensible taking down your hanging baskets. I had some well-grown tomato plants in pots, waiting to be transplanted for family and friends. But I didn't have time to move them into the greenhouse and they all blew over. Two of them broke off completely, and both of them had good flower trusses on them.

One good thing about all this rain, is that the gardens and allotments will welcome it! I'm so glad I weeding our allotment on Sunday as I'm sure they would have been romping skywards in this weather!

                          What a horrid wet day

                          I got wet several times.

How frustrating about playgroup being closed Qwerty. Just what you didn't need, I'm sure!
Glad to hear your niece is getting on well Oma.
I had a nice lunch with my friend and her daughter (who is also my reflexologist). My friend paid for my lunch as birthday present

I went to my client, then the rain and traffic were so bad it would have taken me a very long time to get to mums. I came home and phoned her instead.
Then a friend who lives in our village called in on me on her way home from work. We had a coffee and nice chat. I knew she would look in on me when OH was away, she is very caring

I bet you were glad to get home after so many soakings today, Gem. What kind friends you have. They are certainly looking after you while OH is away.
