Oma - these anniversaries are always sad, no matter how many years. Big hug. xx
Nanto - what a lovely photo of your FiL. I bet he felt like a film star today. I do hope he's had a lovely time.
It's been very windy here today, but I at least managed to cut the lawn, but that was all.

Good morning Nanto and everyone. The sun's trying to peep through here, but there's still that fresh (ie cold!) NE wind.
OH is off on a wood turning jolly today, but a friend's calling round for coffee this morning, and then late this afternoon a month's supply of dog food will arrive. I like to portion as much of it up as possible straight away, so I think I'll be having a busy evening.
It looks like a good drying day so I'm going to do something I've been putting off for a while. After DS2's dog, Midge, died in March I took his bed, blankets etc and said I would take them to a rescue centre for them, so I'm going to wash everything today and our trainer's husband helps out at a centre we had a dog from years ago, so he'll take them in for me. I'm very relieved, because I think I would find it hard to go and not come back with a friend for Eva!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning ladies,
As forecast in these parts, the sun has gone and it is dull and cool. OH had to be on the golf course by 8am for a match! I am happily tucked up in bed still, 2 cats, laptop , Kindle, cup of tea and 2 digestive biscuits. I may be here for a while LOL.
Nothing planned today. DD1 gave us some rhubarb last Sunday, so I must make that into pie or crumble today. I did quite a lot of that stuff begining with H on Thursday, plus my mums shopping - then the radiotherapy site got much sorer and redder. My body is obviously telling me not to do the H word stuff

Morning everyone.
Nanto. That picture of your FIL almost looks as if it could have been taken yesterday. Clarry is a name I've not come across before,
Gem,snuggle up as much as you like.I'd rather be in your position at that time of the morning than out on a golf course. I hope the radiotherapy discomfort wears off soon.
Daisy enjoy your coffee and chat. It's always hard to get rid of a pet's belongings but I'm sure the rescue centre will put them to good use.
That reminds me,did anyone see the "Supervet" this week. It was so sad.The lady I work for had to have her cat put to sleep this week. It's the price we sadly pay for all the affection, pleasure and loyalty they give us.

Clover, that is the sad side of owning and loving our pets
Oma, your little GD will appreciate your birthday present even more as she is getting after all the others. Children often get an overload of presents at the time, so a later one will be more of a treat! Enjoy your time with the GC.
I have remembered that I must go out this morning. There are audio books to collect for my mum and the library closes at 12.30 on Saturday. I think I may call in at my local coffee shop on the way (mentioned on a separate thread!)

Aww, she's a sweetheart Oma, so pretty and cute
I bet it was nice to have her to yourselves for a while.
I hope your GD has a lovely birthday Libra.
I had coffee and a bacon sandwich in the village coffee shop this morning and read my book, Then this afternoon DD2 texted me to say she was going to a shopping park not far from us with baby GS and did I want to join them for coffee. OH was back from golf by then but busy in the garden, so I went and had tea and cake.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
