Well done WeeGranny to the football team.
Would you believe it, the sun has just come out. It was very cold and cloudy this morning when we were gardening.
Rosie came today, with her boyfriend. he seems a nice lad.Hubby enjoyed chatting to him, he's very interested in building,
and hubby only too pleased to tell him what alterations he's done to the house over the years.
Gem, i love the Range as well.

Wee Granny - Well done to your GS. They must have been training hard - what an exciting week-end for them.

I know I don't go shopping very often, but I've never been to The Range. I don't even know where the nearest one is! I really should get out more. LOL

I had ordered some venison for Eva for the first time and it looked so good I was tempted to put in in our fridge instead! I hope she enjoys it. The allotment is beginning to look like it means business! My under gardeners (OH and friend) got the last of the tatties in today. I hoed the onions and broad beans and earthed up the very early potatoes in the polytunnel, and dug up as much of the bindweed as I could. We've set up some bottles to seep water into some of the crops as it's unusually dry this year, but most things seem to be growing ok. Then we came home, had lunch and took Eva out for a walk. So quite a busy day, but it was lovely this afternoon - it's starting to feel like summer.

Nanto - I'm glad you like Rosie's BF - and I'm sure he was keen to make a good impression as well. He sounds like a nice lad.

It's a bright start to the day,but with a cold wind. Our weather really ought to be warming up now.

Good morning ladies, an early start for me today 😟 Shiloh at vets 11am for flea/tick/worming treatment. Have already done my housework. Hubby will visit his poorly sister later and I will carry on trying to paint the 2 burgundy walls in my lounge.Switching to white so going to take at least 3 coats. 😦😦. Sunny but chilly wind here.

              Good Monday morning, ladies.

It's bright and sunny here (hurrah!) but still chilly (boo!). Never mind - it could be much worse. GD day for me, and then dog training tonight. OH 'might' start painting the kitchen today, so it means I'll have to make sure everything that doesn't need painting is removed because he won't see things like the kettle/toaster/whatever and paint them as well - usually an original splatter design. I hope Eva keeps out of his way.

LG - I hope Shiloh gets a nice treat after his trip to the vets. I'm sure your OH's sister will be pleased to have some company. Good luck with your painting.

                Good morning

WG, well done to the football team, and your GS!
Daisy, I'm glad it feels like summer whete you are. Here it feels like winter! We met friends in town for a meal last night and the streets were full of people in winter coats
                Have fun painting, LG.

We are going to one of OH's golf friends for lunch. There are 5 of us invited, but as one lady lost her brother last week so we don't think she will come. I hope she does, as it will take her mind off things for a while.

                Enjoy your Monday everyone.

Good morning all. Its sunny here but not very warm, its a bit of a shock after the lovely day we had yesterday. I was actually in the garden with a short sleeved top on. Today its back on with the cardigan
Libra, I used the white emulsion pain I had left over from doing the ceiling to use as an under coat on dark walls even then I had to do three coats in total. One white and two cream . there appears to be no short cut sadly .
The old back is a bit stiff today after all the gardening yesterday so I am giving it a rest today but tomorrow I am going to town to buy, yes you've guessed it, even more flipping paint. This time it is for the bed room. We are giving it a revamp , new curtains , bedding etc. Mad or what ?

I am waiting for the practice pharmacist to phone me back. One area at the side of my breast has become very sore and the skin broken. I was given a leaflet by the hospital warning of the various things which could happen, this being one of them. Only the specially listed dressings can be used on radiotherapy damaged skin, so you contact the hospital or GP to have these dressings prescribed. I rang the GPs receptionist who was very sympathetic, and put me on the pharmacists list to ring back. Hopefully it will be soon and we can collect the dressings . I have been trying not to moan but, the whole area is sore and itches in some areas and my arm and shoulder aches! There that is my moaning over. I know it is all temporary. Upwards and onwards

Midday appointments are very tying aren't they Oma? I hope all goes well. How is B's donor/host reaction going?

Oooh Oma, a free Thursday for you is a cause for celebration

The pharmacist finally phoned me in the middle of my (hot) lunch at our friends. I talked her through the leaflet given to me and we agreed on a dressing which she said she would send electronically to our pharmacy. We called in on our way home just now and no prescription. I have just phoned the surgery now and the receptionist could see it on the system, waiting for Drs signature. Its a flaming dressing for goodness sake I asked was a Dr likely to sign it today and she said yes but they were all doing surgeries now. So, we will have to go back later. Fortunately our village pharmacy is open until 10m pm.

We had a lovely lunch anyway, and I managed to keep comfortable most of the time, but was glad to be home and remove the bra.
