Good afternoon, it feels like summer here
We had a lovely time with my auntie, then I went to the village card shop and bought baby T a helium balloon for tomorrow. This is something I did when GD had her first birthday and now it is a tradition and I take each of the GC a balloon on their birthday. GS1 is especially fond of them and treasures his until is is all wrinkled
Oma, just my auntie, she is dads sister. We starting these regular meetings every 5 or 6 weeks about 3 years ago. Me, mum and auntie. Mum made it increasingly clear (and was often rude to my auntie) that she didn't enjoy it, so over a year ago I started to see my auntie by myself every few weeks, alternating lunch out with tea and cake. Sometimes OH joins us. She is a lovely lady and happy with whatever we do. She also says she doesn't know what she is doing here and she always though she would live to 70! (she is 88, like my mum.)

Went to see my eldest with her birthday gifts and she gave me Erins latest school pic. My beautiful clever big girl.

LG - they grow up too quickly, don't they! How old is she now? Is she enjoying her school?

Gem - it's been lovely here too, but then a bit of a breeze would remind you it's only early April. We went to pick up OH's car from the bodyshop after lunch and took Eva to the paddock for a good run round, and it was lovely! Glad you had a nice time with your aunt. T will be so excited tomorrow, even if he's a bit young to understand the occasion.

Oma - Pleased to hear everything is back to normal, plus nice clean ceilings.

Nana - Has Chatbox not come up on 'New Topics'?

            Good morning all.
Libra that's a beautiful picture, they certainly do grow up so fast . I think once they start Grammar/ High school they change even faster. They became tranniee adults, scary isn't it ?

Yesterday I went to town and what a complete waste of time that was. I wanted to buy some plants at the local outdoor market that is in the centre of town every Wednesday, half the stores weren't there , no idea why, so all I brought was a birthday card and came home. Hopefully toady will more successful as it's back to town I go as I noticed I had a message from my phone company that my phone is due an upgrade and as there a far to many confusing options to choose from on line I am going into the phone shop to actually speak to a human in the hope I can sort out a bargain for myself. Do I stick with my phone and opt for a cheaper monthly payment or do I ( as suggested by BIL) have a new phone because it will come with a guarantee and I could use the old phone as a trade in or sell myself. Where is Martin Lewis when you need him. ?
I was planning to clean the windows today but with a bit of luck I won't have time 😉
            Have a lovely day ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning, ladies. The sun is shining here as well. At this rate there will be a hose pipe ban by the end of the week!!!

Oma - I hope all goes well at the hospital. I was wondering last night when B's next visit was due. Now, take it easy, wearing a dress this early in the year!

Mimi - I find it's confusin trying to sort out phones and packages online. Last time I took the plunge and bought my phone and went to Giff Gaff whose packages start at £7.50/month. £10 month gives me more than I'll ever use and my phone is covered on our household policy. You certainly won't have time or mental capacity to clean windows, young lady! The phone will take all your energy today and probably the rest of the week. You are therefore officially off the hook for cleaning anything!

Not sure what I'm doing today - it rather depends on what the window men are doing. They have got all 4 windows installed and have just got to finish off the roof tiles and insulation today. Then we wait for the plasterer before we can get any further! I'm hoping OH will start sanding the dining room floor - and since it's such a lovely day I shall take Eva out for a long, long, long walk - just to keep her out of the way, you understand.

                Nanto - I hope you're having a lovely holiday.

                  Good morning everyone.

Lovely photo LG, your GD is becoming a young lady, but will always be your baby

Good luck with the new phone Mimi, I find it all very confusing too!

Oma, out in a dress! I hope the hospital goes smoothly and you enjoy the rest of the day.

Shopping with mum today, then on to DD2s with mum and OH to celebrate GS2's first birthday!

Oma I hope the hospital trip goes well and B doesn't get too excited by seeing your legs out.
The sun does show up the window's doesn't it?

Wish you a good day at the hospital Oma. I don't possess a skirt or a dress, just lighter weight trousers. Lovely day again, there was a bit of a cold wind yesterday, the May flowers are not out so will not be casting a clout yet.

I am sure Eva will enjoy her long, long walk, good idea to keep out of the way of the work

It is glorious sunshine here, hubs is mowing the lawns. We have scrubbed the patio walls, and fingers crossed the weather stays fine we will paint them terracotta at the weekend. Long overdue for a fresh lick of paint. My bizzie lizzies are thriving and have just put them out in the sun for a few hours. Planted some california poppies the other day, some nice colours for the garden.
