Good to hear Ben's doing well at the moment and they can hold off the op for now. They need a few years break if they can get it. Some time to be "normal", and have some fun.
It's a year on the 9th since my Dad died. I've already had some unexpected tears, so hopefully will be ok for my Mam when we go to the crem.
I've been holding everything in all year.
Hugs to all who's missing someone.
Have a brilliant holiday Gem and S xx

Good morning ladies.
GJ - big hugs. It's always a difficult time when the first anniversaries come round. I'll be thinking of you.
We're ok - very sad. I'm just going to collect GD2 and bring her over here for the day. I'll get back on here when I can.
Gem - I hope you've done all your packing despite a busy day yesterday. Pop over to the tea rooms later for a 'going away' cake and coffee.
Nanto - so glad you finally got a good night's sleep.
Catch up later (I always seem to be saying that at the moment, but OH is still coughing for Britain and not doing much, so I seem to be running round like a demented bee at the moment!

Morning all. Off out with DD2 & baby later this morning to a shopping Outlet. After a big spend yesterday I'll be window shopping today. Safe journey on the first stage of your trip Gem. I hope everything goes smoothly.
GrannyJ your'e in my thoughts. Hoping you can let some of your feelings out. A year is a long time to 'hold everything in'. Daisy, chin up. Oma glad B is still on the up.
Enjoy today everyone."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning everyone.
Today is final packing, last clean round to leave all nice for cat sitters, and a visit to my mum.
Cat sitter friends are due around 2, so we will spend some time with them before heading off to Manchester. I will report back in from there!
Rather annoying my knee is playing up. The opposite one to the one I had X rayed! I need functioning knees for this holiday. My back hurts too, but I think that is due to the position I had to keep very still in yesterday when going through the scanner. Hopefully sunshine and relaxation will put me right!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem maybe the other knee is protesting as it has been taking some of the strain of the poorly knee? Have a great time.
Deep joy I am going to be on a conference call from 10am to 2pm today. There are 8 people on the call including me. My colleague Nahid, he who had my kitchen white goods, hates conference calls. He has a very quiet voice and he is the only chap on the call and boy does he get it from the ladies. "Speak up Nahid" "Have you fallen asleep Nahid" "Nahid are you there" poor lad!! I managed to get the company to give him a company car (he is not well paid) and he took delivery of one of those little Mercedes last week. Told me yesterday he has managed to scratch the wheel arch going through a width restriction! Advised him not to tell our fleet management company as they will insist on coming to get the car so you have to wait in for them, then they will have it at least for a day, it will go on his driving record AND as it is an own fault incident he will be expected to pay £200 excess. Said we would have a look and maybe take it to a local dealer as it will probably be cheaper.
I have ordered my new company car - I may have said. I am getting a BMW 3 Series Hybrid automatic. As I am not racing around the country with my car stuffed full to the roof with equipment anymore I thought I would have a "proper" car! Delivery is in June, it will be my last company car before retirement and when we retire we will have to buy a little car so might as well make the most of it!!
GJ I lost my dad seventeen years ago and I still cry for him but mostly at Christmas as he was a Christmas Day baby. I don't put the radio on when I am driving over to see the children on Christmas morning because they always plays soft soppy music and I always end up having to stop to have a sob.
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Lovely sunshine here too, hope it continues. I am at dentist this afternoon, deep joy.
We have had three BMW's, distributor very close and they give a good after care service. Does a hybrid mean it is petrol and electric?
Hope your knee doesn't pain you on holiday Gemini with alll the walking you need to do.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

It was lovely Oma, to have a decent nights sleep. One skirt done,1 to go.
Cleaned all the downstairs, then went out and swept all the pavement outside our house.
We live on a corner so a lot of pavement to be done.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
