Funnily enough Plant I did put a cd on as nothing on tv or radio, I bought recently Elkie Brooks new album and had a pleasant hour not so much dancing but singing along with her some of her songs are really dramatic like Lilac Wine so joined her.
I am ready for a break but if I mention it, it falls on stony ground OH is quite happy to be at home but the routine gets me down, he's a good man and does diy gardening etc but it's not the same as cleaning everyday is it ladies .
OH is still waiting for his results said it could be a fortnight so another week maybe thanks for asking Plant, I think once he gets his results we might both perk up

Thanks ladies for your concern I do have these silly days, toddler J was coming round but has gone off colour again he has an appetite but each time he goes off it when it's served he is drinking plenty though , hope he's ok but Tuesday we have them 2dys it's the equivalent of having 4 toddlers over 2 days good job I adore them 👫
Daisy we are looking for a bungalow but living next to a farm for 40 yrs we want somewhere that's quiet not on a big housing estate nothing wrong with them just we have never lived somewhere like that, we have to take into consideration we can't move too far from the kids we will be needed for some time yet so it has to be somewhere near that we like OH doesn't want me driving to get them in the winter although I know you do this Daisy but my confidence driving has taken a bit of a dive, so basically somewhere easier to manage housework wise we have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroooms 2 lounges , dining room and 2 conservatories all built when the kids were at home now much too big and too big a garden , also less decorating and for all the house is big we have no downstairs loo plus it's an unfriendly street as there is lots of keeping up with the Jones no one talks to one another can't be doing with it well you did ask lol

Oh dear !! How do I get rid of the smell of a burnt out saucepan in my kitchen?

Over a year ago now my old faithful steamer pan died on me , the copper bottom came away from the base so I thought I'm not buying another steamer, the baskets from the broken steamer fits my large saucepan, we'll sort of . The problem with this was the saucepan isn't as deep as a steamer pan and it tends to boil dry but I have usually managed to notice before any mishap....until today that is .
The inside of the pan is ruined and not fit for purpose so I have to buy a new steamer Amazon .
Perhaps I should have done this in the first place !

              Hello everyone.

Qwerty, waiting for results is awful, and as you say, I'm sure you will both feel better once you have the results. I hope little J soon feels better.
I think your OH must know mine Qwerty LOL. I could do with break, but she is happy at home (and has just had 5 nights in Portugal!)

              Oh dear Mimi!

We had a good weekend with SILs birthday. I will write about it in my journal.

Qwerty, hope you get hubbys results sooner rather than later.

Boil a lemon and simmer for 10 mins leave for about 1 hour for the smell or light a couple of candles I find they help with fish smells etc so could help with that ,
You can also rescue the pan by boiling water with washing powder in and leaving overnight it lifts the burn away .

Oma the saucepan is in the bin, the steamer basket is sitting on the patio with mint planted in it and a new steamer from Amazon is winging its way to me as I type !

Good morning, ladies. It's bright and sunny here at the moment - no idea what the day will bring, though. We could certainly do with some decent rain for the garden and allotment, but I am enjoying the sunshine.

Qwerty - moving house is a big decision, so you're very sensible to be deciding what you must have in your new home, and what would be nice but not essential. I suppose house purchase is always a compromise. We sold our big, rambling dormer bungalow (bought when there were 3 generations in our family) over 20 years ago. We sold far too quickly and had nowhere to go, and there was a very limited choice in our village, or any of the nearby villages. But although I had a few reservations about the house we bought, it's been fine. The only downside for me is that the back garden is very hemmed in by other back gardens - 5 of them! - and you can't see the sun rise or set. But it's not particularly noisy, there's no traffic noise in a cul de sac, so it's just the times when children are playing in their gardens, and I like to hear them having fun. You will find the home you dream of - or something very close to it, but I can understand both you and your OH feel a bit in limbo until he gets his results. I hope you don't have to wait much longer, Big hug. I hope J is better this week. I think you are amazing to have the twinnies for 2 days at a time - I know how exhausted I am having the 2 GDs and they are older, and GD1 is at school anyway. Take care, and try and grab a few minutes relaxing when you can. xx

Oma - that doesn't sound like much sleep. I hope you've got a fairly quiet day today to get some rest.

I don't know what came over me this morning. I went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea and before I knew it, I'd cleaned the whole kitchen (except the floor). I'd better go and lie down in a darkened room till this strange feeling goes away.

Off to collect GD2 from playgroup later, then back home at tea time, and out again to dog training at 9 pm.

                                Good morning everyone.
Oh no Oma, not one of those nights again!
GS1 from preschool today. He will probably want a quiet afternoon after a busy weekend then a mornings preschool. Or maybe not LOL.
We are eating out with 2 of our best friends tonight. They have been busy lately so we havent met up for a while. Lots of catching up to do!
Have a good day Daisy, despite that early morning burst of cleaning!
