    Happy St David's Day everyone.

LG - safe journey, and have a wonderful, wonderful time. xx

Nanto - lovely daffodils to cheer up a dull grey morning.

Dog training for us today, although I don't know if OH will go - his cough's still enough to frighten even the fiercest pooch - and the Allotment association AGM tonight. Going off on a cruise round Asia doesn't even come close to that excitement, does it!

Daisy, do you fee Eva raw? Your DH's cough seems everlasting, and there's not much you can do with something like that unfortunately.

Meeting a friend for coffee this morning, haven't seen her since Christmas so lots to catch up. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning and happy St David's Day

            Very frosty and sunny again.
Libra is off to the sun! Have lovely holiday Libra

Poor OH Daisy, some of these coughs around at the moment really seem to linger.

Two tasks for me today. Go to my nail lady in the village I live in to have my holiday toe nails done, and book the pantomime tickets online at 6pm. Just before you all think me crazy, the really keen are booking in person from 9 am this morning at the theatre. I used to do this years ago, when we were a large family group wanting the best seats on Boxing Day. 4 hours was the average wait. Some were camping outside the theatre last night, in these temperatures, I have never done that!!

Holiday packing and house work to be done too.

Happy hols Libra. I am off to town today. There is a charity day called "Give and Gain Day", the idea is you give and gain as do the people you are giving to. So I am visiting a Charity in Southwark which is a young mums support network. It is predominantly Somalian young women who are not integrated into society due to their religion. They have taken over the old Kids Company building which apparently needs redecorating as the children were encouraged to graffiti the walls! If it is suitable I will see if a couple of my sites would like to visit and decorate. We would give our labour free and persuade our sub contractors to donate materials . Next week I am seeing aCharity in Westminster to see what we can do with them as well.

I had an appt. with my doctor this afternoon but they phoned from the surgery and said he wasn't well, he has probably got the dreaded cough. I am not unwell I just wanted to discuss with him the treatment they are going to start for my bones. I am still waiting to hear from the heart specialist to fix a date for him to fit a disclosure device to keep a check on my heart although they have not found anything wrong so far. They are still looking for the reason I am having these falls

That sounds like a good charity Zizi.

Must put the duster and the hoover round before I go out, parcel waiting for me at the M&S food hall down the hill.

Be careful Oma, my days are climbing ladders or step stool are over. I have moved all the food from top cupboards and made space in other places. My cupboards go nearly to the ceiling so no hope of getting in to clean them. What the eye can't see.........

Be careful Oma, and yes you are right not to climb Plant!

Well I have had a very good day so far

I had my Minx toe nails done ready for my holiday, and my nail lady told me she had a March offer - £17.50 instead of £25.
Then I decided that rather than wait to book our pantomime tickets at 6pm when the online bookings opened, I would go and do it in person. OH dropped me off after lunch and hovered in the car. No queue and I got front row dress circle tickets for December 22nd. We haven't managed front row for years, we are usually in B at best. Really happy with this! They said they had been very busy until around 1.30, so I chose the right time to go.

Did my ironing and while I was upstairs doing that B had cleaned the top of the cupboards for me came down to one less jobs ,
Shopped at Morrisons yesterday then Asda and Aldi today , cupboards , Fridge, and Freezer full , so what did I have for tea ? Boiled eggs and toast I must say I really enjoyed them too . Sometimes a simple meal is all you need

Gem good seats worth going in person to get them ,
Plant I can understand why you don't climb ladders anymore , my MIL is 83 and insists on climbing on a stool when shes painting walls and getting into cupboards , we know shes fit for 83 but anything can happen , SIL bought her some very good steps they are broad and have a handle to hold onto but prefers this old tatty stool frightens the life out of us when she says shes used it , one day she is going to come off it and end up with broken bones .

Pottered about today just doing little jobs. Gem, what Panto is it? I took GS1 last Christmas (sorry Daisy) to the Sheffield panto. We both really enjoyed it. It's become a new family tradition now. Really good fun. The Dame was terrific.
Oma, I wish I had your energy. Plant I'm so pleased you're getting sorted. Hope everyone has a good night.

It's been a horrible day today.
I went to M and S for a bra measurement and a complete waste of time that was. The assistant just measured under my boobs and that was that... well I can do that for my self at home . The choice of bras in my size were no better than the old washed out ones I already have in my drawer at home... and they are asking £20 + for them. I taking myself to town in the next few days to have a look in other shops. By the time I had faffed about with all that my back was aching so I went home and had a good moan about it to OH.
A few hours later I had a call from my friend, she has breast cancer, she is only in her 40s . This made me appreciate that I don't really have anything to moan about. She is such a lovely friend, I worked with her for a few years and she along with my other 3 friends from work we have all become really close. We go out for meals always making sure we have a pre Christmas get together. She asked me to let the others know, which I did only to discover that my other friend also isn't at all well .
My friend had her op yesterday and she was able to come home the same day. We now plan to visit her next week when she is feeling stronger.
This really makes you think, we should enjoy every day because we don't know what's behind the corner.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
