Good morning ladies. Lovely day here but I'm waiting in for a parcel at DS2's 😒. Have played hide and seek singing games. Counting games shining torches endless discussions about sneezing and finally a few minutes to sit down while GD2 plays with an art game on my iPad. Will catch up properly tonight.

Stopped raining earlier and we have sunshine now.
In between cleaning and ironing,i have cleaned and rearranged some kitchen cupboards.
Think iv'e worked up an appetite, feeling quite peckish now.
Scampi, chips and peas today. Not very often i make chips,so hubby will be pleased.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Afternoon everyone. My you've all been busy. Oma, pleased to hear B is doing so well. I was busy sorting out a flower arrangement for DD yesterday. I got one delivered by I********a & it was awful. They took it back, money refunded & a £10 complementary voucher.
I bought a beautiful bouquet of roses from M&S, a lovely stiff fabric baby basket from another shop then a cute baby comfort blanket with a rabbit head (hope you know what I mean). DD was thrilled & it all cost as much as the first failed one.

I was reading a post earlier by Gem & sum1else contributed to the thread. I don't see her on here very often but do see her on Fbk. I miss her posts. Are there any other members you know of who have stopped posting?
(I miss Qwerty very much of course but understand the reason for her absence. 😍)

As the former owner of a florist and gift shop albeit a long time ago you are better to contact shop direct as the subscription for the relay services are extremely high and will be automatically built in to the price. If you contact them direct you need to tell them you are not prepared to pay the service charge if it looks high. They should only charge a delivery charge and local deliveries should be free. Although as I say we have been out if it for a while.
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
Nana - I'm sure both DD and baby are thrilled with their gifts. Lots of babies seem to love the little comfort blankets with heads, and they do look cute.
I've had good and bad experiences with Interflora (more good than bad) and it so depends on which shop fills the order! The trouble is if you send flowers to someone they might not want to hurt your feelings by telling you they were rubbish!
I'm beginning to feel outnumbered, so I'll just raise the flag again for the scone/stone club!
Nanto - you have had another busy day! I love scampi and chips.
Mimi - no wonder your OH was fed up with the GP. It sounds as though she treated him very casually. I've been talking to one of my SILs tonight. She has had a very bad chest since before Christmas, and despite a course of ABs, it hadn't cleared up. Last week her DD (who is a doctor) said she ought to go back to her GP, as she clearly wasn't well and getting breathless etc. The GP was totally dismissive, and close to tears, my SIL said her DD had told her to see the GP, and it was only when SIL mentioned that said DD is a doctor that the GP's attitude changed and she got a thorough examination and was prescribed a different AB. SIL was upset that if she hadn't mentioned the medical connection she would have been sent away without even having her chest checked.
I've been looking after GD2 all day, and I've got a cold which is at that 'can't stop sneezing' stage. I don't feel ill, just sneezing a lot. GD2 really wasn't happy because it was too noisy and she kept asking me to stop. Oh dear, I would if I could!!!

Another cold for you and Gemini Daisy, take care of yourselves
Mimi my GS has come home to recuperate, he had a cough and spent last week in his flat quite poorly, he now has pneumonia, antibiotics and rest prescribed.
