ZIZI, keep at them. The offer of £950 is ridiculous.

Not very often we go into town on a Sunday, but we did today.
Rosie wanted to use some of the vouchers she got for Christmas. Spent an hour in Next, but she got a skirt and top.
Hubby wanted some new lights for the garden abd other stuff.
Me, i bought a couple of hand towels and a pack of 3 tea towels.

We've been a lot of busy bees today, ladies!

Plant - did you enjoy the baby shower?

Mimi - yes, it's great to get back to old fashioned, relaxing conversation - it sounds like a really enjoyable evening. Did you sleep well?

Oma - the short answer is - Yes, dear, a bit each day would get it all done just the same! For goodness' sake don't kill yourself by cleaning up the whole world in one day. xx

As far as our allotment goes, I was on the verge of giving it up as being too much (OH doesn't really enjoy it so I don't like to ask him to do too much) when a garden angel arrived in the form of an old friend - a big burley biker - wanting to share it. It's already made so much difference have another pair of (strong) hands.

Zizi - the amount they've offered is an insult. Not only did you have all that hassle, but it's spoilt the project for you - the WOW is everything and they took that away with their incompetence. If it's any consolation, I've put 2 other people off even looking at that firm for their new kitchen!

Enfys - thanks for the advice. I did use the slow cooker and the mince was fine. I've now got several lots ready for freezing, and I can customise them when I come to use them. It meant I didn't have to keep an eye on it, and I used the oven to prepare treats for Eva, so it was very productive. How lovely to chat to your DS, but you must be a bit disappointed that they are clearly settled there, although I know you also want them to be happy. I'm so glad you've got some holidays planned, including our GRUS meet.

Nanto - I think your granddaughter did rather well to get a skirt and a top within an hour! I'm sure you will enjoy the hand towels and tea towels!!!

I've had a very productive day - loads of cooking, as mentioned, plus cleaning the greenhouse inside and out ready for Spring. I then poured a glass of wine and had a long, relaxing bubble bath as a reward!

Had a lovely time at the Baby Shower for my expected GGC. It was held at a local Golf Club. A glass of fizz on arrival and a lovely tea followed, dainty sandwiches and cakes. Baby is cooking nicely.

Daisy does your OH know you are working on the allotment with a burley biker

Daisy, i thik she had seen the skirt and top before, because she went straight to them.
She looked at others, but kept going back to the ones she got.
Plant, pleased you enjoyed the baby shower, won't be too long before the baby is here.
Oma, time to ease up a bit.

            Morning all.
Plant that baby shower sounded lovely.
Zizi, stick to your guns, you had so much to deal with . I hope you have explained to them that if you hear the slightest hint that someone will be using their company to install kitchens you will be telling them exactly the hell you have been through with them.
Daisy, what's all this and a big burly biker ? 😉
Nana2 , an hour in Next ! At least it wasn't a waste of time, what is the skirt and top like ? I can remember when I would happily spend hours browsing in shops but I soon get hot and bothered as the heating seems to be set on furnace and the music playing is of the shops own radio station so it's constant adverts.
I've just read that last sentence and I am now going to have a few harsh words with myself as I appear to have turned into my MIL !!!!! Next thing I know I will be complaining about young mothers of today...they haven't got a clue.

I will return later when normal service will resume . All traces of MIL will have been removed!

                Good morning.
Nasty freezing fog here. I hope it lifts before I set off for GS1 at 11ish. We have both boys today. Baby GS all day as his other Gran is poorly. GD is going to an after school play date so we don't have to go out again for her this afternoon.

Oma, rest that poor back. No housework!!

                Have a good day everyone.

Oma, you are naughty, once again you have over done it but I know you love to see things tidy and enjoyed getting outside but you must learn when to stop. Hope the back is better todasy.

Sunny and frosty here today, off to bowls this afternoon.

Tomorrow I am going to a hospital a drive away to have an injection to strengthen my bones, not that I have ostioporosis, just that I can't take the tablets prescribed, they upset my tummy. Shouldn't have looked at the side effects, I shall have them all.

Slightly belated "Good morning" to all.
Oma,do try not to overdo things. It's easy to get carried away once you've got the bit between your teeth I bet your housework wasn't neglected either,. I hope the hospital trip goes smoothly.
Today is a general tidy up day. Yesterday I cleared out the under stairs cupboard and once I'd covered the kitchen and hall with stuff I wished I hadn't started Just a few bits to sort now.
I've just made a batch of scones which are smelling rather tempting in the oven.

Oma, do take care today as a fellow back suffer I know what it is like so put down that duster and relax.
OH has his 12 month check up at the drs tomorrow and he is very anxious about it and this will result in a high blood pressure reading . He is his own worse enemy , panic is his middle name.

If the mince has thawed out it will be cottage pie for lunch if it hasn't it will be....... who knows I haven't planned for that !
Have a lovely day everyone and keep warm

Well done again B Oma, what a man. I walked the dog early today and glad I did as now piddling with rain. Carpet has been laid and hubby and I struggled but got a double wardrobe from one room to another.Power to us pensioners, but bet we suffer for it tomorrow. Matt had offered to come and do it, but impatient me wants the room normal ASAP. Hubs has a shiny, sleek new computer desk which sits nicely in the bay window. Its black smoked glass, with lovely curves, no doubt will show every finger mark. Now awaiting delivery of the new vinyl for our kitchen, no more DIY until after my holidays, need a rest before next job on the list. Oma I haven't forgotten the pics of new kitchen, but want to get the whole thing complete first.
