Oma that's good you didn't need injections.
I hate it when you are tipped back so far in the chair. I sometimes have to really concentrate to stop myself panicking as I feel so helpless and vulnerable.Plus sometimes I feel as if I'm going to choke.
Got an appointment next week for check-up.Oh what joy.

Has anyone had the shingles vaccination yet? I had a call from my surgery offering me this and have an appointment for next week. I thought it was a good idea as I had chicken pox as a child and also know several people who have suffered badly from shingles However, while out shopping this morning we met someone who had suffered with shingles after the vaccination. Am I doing the right thing?Comment

Well speaking for myself I would have it if offered , I have watched my OH go through hell with Shingles . I would try anything to avoid them xxIm not fat just 6ft too smallComment

Oma - glad the dentist was relatively pain free. He should have given the pain-killing injection to your bank balance!

Clover - I quite enjoy lying right back in the dentist's chair - it's very comfortable and quite relaxing. I hope your check up goes ok next week.
MillieB - yes I've had the shingles injection - about 3 years ago. There were no problems afterwards. My OH has just had it 2 weeks ago and he's fine. As Oma says, it's such a hellish disease, and I didn't think twice about having the injection. I wonder if your friend was diagnosed with shingles by the doctor. I wonder if they could already be incubating it when they had the injection, or whether it was something else entirely.

Morning ladies
early start for me OH in Hospital for 7.30 get his Hickman back in also got DD,SIL,GS1 at 6.45 for breakfast and showers , DD rang at 11.30 last night to say they had to turn water off , massive leak in bathroom water coming out of kitchen lights , Dog was going loopy so got up to see what was wrong with him and discovered it , just as well he was or it could have been so much worse . Peace will reign at 8.30 when they off to work and schoolIm not fat just 6ft too smallComment
