Had something to eat, popped out with hubby for ½hour, came home, nipped to the post office, just got sat down.

Just a warning ladies about yet another phone scam. I know we are all aware that we should never respond but this one was a bit more worrying. DH answered the phone and there was a recorded message supposedly from HMRC saying they were bringing a law suit against us and to press 1 to speak to an adviser. Of course he out the phone down and I have just googled this and yes, there is a scam. I am concerned that some of us might have older friends or relatives who might be really worried about such a call, I know my mother would have been, so just wanted to flag this up.

On another note, we enjoyed a nice long walk this morning, am now chilling out with DD's doggie keeping my feet warm.

still getting dizzy spells when I move my head too much, so can't spend too much time reading, knitting or on ipad as looking down is horrid. Off to docs again soon.....Joy!

Libra the €60 gift Joe wanted is tiny! Still it is what he wanted so he will like it.

Oma I just would like him to occasionally get in touch. You know of have given up on birthdays and mothering Sunday etc although to be fair he was there for my 60th and was asked to hold the fort which he did well. Just when I think things are going to be what could, just could, pass for sort of normal he goes underground.

Oh well much as I love him a swimming pool and rum and coke are calling xx

Enfys - thanks for that warning. I must admit if I answered a call from "HMRC" I would go into some kind of panic mode - what had I done wrong or something! Well done to your OH for being on the ball.

As you might expect I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet.

It was a busy day today, as I expected and after such a busy week-end I was really tied when I got home about 6 pm. I've done nothing except cook and eat dinner and am now off for an early night. Sleep well, everyone.

                Good morning everyone.
Enfys, I can imagine lots of people being alarmed by a phone call like that.

My knee is really painful, it has gone on for some time now. Doctors tomorrow, so we'll see what she says.
Work for me this afternoon, and a meal out with 2 friends tonight. Luckily we chose a restaurant not too far from the car park. Less strain on my knee!
This morning I must colour my hair and go to the bank and local supermarket.

                  Good morning ladies.
Enfys these scams just keep on coming don't they, I would imagine a lot of people still fall for them judging by how many are out there.
Gem I hope the dr can help with your knee problem. I have noticed a considerable improvement in my right knee since giving up work and moving from a house to a ground floor flat. It's my left hip and my back that gives me jip now. I think I am slowly falling apart.
I should colour my hair also but my grey roots have , over the years have changed , they now look white which blends in with the blonde really nice. In fac I have had more complements about my hair now than the last 20 years or so.
Right, let's get OHs porridge on the go, none of this microwave instant malarkey for us . Out comes the saucepan and off I go .
Have a lovely day everyone and hope everyone is well

I'm back and can honestly say didn't feel a thing and all done without injections , my two fillings one small was surface so just a bit grinding and re filled , top tooth is massive and what he thought was a small crack when he picked at it a huge chuck came away , but as it's root filled I didn't feel the drilling , then he ground my front two teeth down to level the chipped bits off and built them up with this new glue paste stuff , took 1 hour and 15 mins , apart from jaws aching and bank balance a lot less a painless visit 😊
