That would annoy me very much Oma. There's no excuse for not at least texting, is there.

Zizi - your DIL's reaction to a spatula made me smile!

Oma - that is so annoying. I wonder sometimes if our offspring realise we have lives as well.

That isn't fair Oma especially as Brian needs family support at the moment. That would make me very cross, I think he needs a stern talking to unless it is his OH calling the shots.

Well Plant I could easily blame her but he's a grown man and to be honest he's a lovely lad I love him to bits but don't always like him , he's very self centred thinks of no one and doesn't seem to think he's doing anything out of the ordinary , He thinks all he has to do is smile hug me and all,s right with the world , OH said I was too soft with him and did to much for him that he takes us for granted now , maybe he's right

Strange goings on here last night. Every page i went on,i was getting the message you are not authorised see this page.
Wouldn't let me upload photos. I was definately logged in. Thought it was the computer acting up, but didn't have a problem with other sites.
No problem for hubby either, when he was on computer.
                Seems to OK now.
A couple of photos from the firework display we went to,although photos don't do them justice.

                  Good morning Nanto and everyone.

Nanto - I don't know what caused that. Did anyone else have problems? Fireworks are really difficult to photograph, but it looks as though this was a really good display. I am hopeful the firework season is over for now - we had them round here from 4.45 until 9.30 last night! Poor Eva was terrified - she didn't eat her dinner until after 10 pm. but, being a dog, she's bounced back to normal this morning.

With OH being at dS1's I shall have to take Eva with me today when I pick GD2 up from playgroup. It's going to be a lively afternoon with an excited GD and two excited dogs!

                  Have a good day everyone.

                      Good morning everyone.
My internet connection is patchy this morning for some reason, so I hope I can at least get this post finished before I go out!

Zizi, I don't think you could have done any more to help your DIL with the cake, as you will be so far away for the actual birthday. At least she now knows what a spatula is

                      Nice fireworks Nan2.

I hope you survive your dog and girls day Daisy !

I like the Metro Centre Oma, not been there for years! Do try to catch a nap today.

GS1 to be collected from preschool, as it is Monday and brought back here for lunch and the afternoon. Then OH, GS and I are catching the bus into town to meet DD from work. She is treating us to tea (as in dinner for southerners ) in Ask, as a thank you for looking after E every week and some overnighters We are looking forward to it. GS doesn't go by bus often so that's the part he will enjoy most!

I am on a train going to a meeting at Waterloo station. The flipping train was very late coming in so I shall be a bit late but I have texted the person I am meeting. It is very cold here today but a sharp dry cold so hopefully my little bit of washing will dry. Hopefully my meeting won't be too long as I have so much to do this week. I have to be in kings cross on Wednesday and east London on Thursday both of which I could do without.

Very cold here today but we enjoyed a lovely walk through one of the Chines and along the beach with our walking group this morning. It was lovely in the sunshine but boy, was the wind cold.

Still have the odd dizzy turn but off to docs tomorrow for a blood test re my new bp meds. Exciting ... Not

Well the morning turned out better than I thought , I didn't feel tired at all till about 1 pm , First we went to Ikea (and he didn't fight it 😊) had breakfast there and very nice it was , Then bought some cups and storage boxes , from there went across the road to the Metro had a good look around the shops collected things we had ordered in House of Fraser,s . Bought myself a nice new purse and some gloves , bought some gift vouchers for GS1 then chatted to a nice young soldier selling poppies , came home and had a cup of tea then a 30 minute nap and feel so much better for it 😊

Very successful day for you Oma, Was going out to find some trousers but it was cold, strong wind, the thought of stripping off to try them on, I called that off. Just called for milk etc and then some plants. Busy day tomorrow, friend coming for coffee, hairdresser in the afternoon and Trefoil Guild (ex Guiders) in the evening.

It sounds as though most of us have had a good day, despite being tired, or having to brave the icy cold. Tizzy - I hope your meeting went to plan.

Plant - I hate shopping for clothes in cold weather. there is just no incentive to strip off to try them on.

Gem - I hope you enjoyed your tea with DD - what a lovely thoughtful DD she is.

Oma - I think you've worn down your OH's resistance to Ikea - or he likes the breakfasts there. Glad you're feeling better.

Enfys - whenever I go to Bournemouth I wonder why I don't go more often. I can imagine that was a lovely walk.

GD2 was very excited to see Eva in the car when I picked her up from playgroup. She grinned at me and said "Grandma, I loovvve Eva'. Eva has come home all loved out!
