Nanto - what a pity you didn't enjoy the extra hour. Have an easy day today. xx

Eva didn't know about the hour going back so she came and woke us just before 7.30.

Oma - take it easy today. x

We're off to the allotment this morning. I don't think there's much to get done, but we can do some planning for next season.

      Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning all . How is everyone.
Oma I hope you have taken it easy today.
I didn't get any benefit from our extra hour. I was awake at stupid o'clock again !
We have been tiding up in the back garden this morning. I have taken up a few plants that have seen better days and picked up a lot of leaves. Th wallflowers needed some short canes to give them some support for when the winds start to blow around here. It was nice to sit on the bench with our hands around a warming cup of coffee and make plans for next spring !

As the nights creep in I know I won't be doing much outside now so I was thinking, how shall I pass my time through the dark nights.....and then along comes DIL. She has been sorting out her dads house as he is moving and she came upon ........
Three big volumes of The Readers Digest Encyclopedia of Gardening
A big bag of knitting needles
        A big bag of wool
        Three folders of knitting patterns
        And
        Three binders of embroidery threads.
These all belonged to her mum, my best friend and it is so nice to have something of hers.
Now I've done/ am doing at the moment , knitting but embroidery ? . I will give it a go....who knows I might enjoy it !
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Ooh I haven't been on here for ages. Well today I put some washing out at 9am ish and then cleaned bathroom and kitchen. I pulled a muscle in my shoulder yesterday early morning when I got out of bed to go to the loo not sure how, It was very painful yesterday but not so bad today until noon time when I went down to check the washing which, as someone else has said, was as damp as when I put it out. I was taking it down to dry it indoors and OUCH there it was again.

I made a moussaka for dinner tomorrow, did some work (as in work type work) on a project I am doing matching what commitments we have made to the community and whether we have met them. You would think this would be relatively easy but it is proving to be a head ache because I write the documents for the sites with their agreement and then they (the sites) conveniently forget what the promises are and go off their own way. When I question them they say things like "well we sent a newsletter to the residents" err yes and what about the work experience, the community days, the working with the homeless, the charities, the schools?

Anyway I have also been investigating new internet suppliers and I think we will change to BT. Anyone got any stories or reports to give me before I do that? We have been with Talk Talk for some time but they have just told me they are putting my bill up to £31 per month. Apart from anything else if we go to BT I should be able to ditch my £10 a month chip for my iPad for when I am out and about because BT say you can log on almost anywhere. So all in all it will be a substantial saving around £23 a month I think. No we are not broke or anything but I am trying to tie things up for 2018 when I will drop my days down. Husband will still be working full time as he can move and swap shifts to give him relaxing time.

Someone on here was talking about bedding. I have about seven different duvet sets. Some rather elegant and beautiful and some just "sunny" husband says they are all girly but if he wants masculine he had better go and buy some! I have a lovely silk burgundy and cream set which is my favourite.

This week I am working from home Monday and Tuesday, was supposed to be going to Wolverhampton Wednesday but now have to go to a meeting which will leave me all of three minutes to get the train from the office - impossible. So I shall go to the meeting which finishes at 10.20 and then go home as I have to call the meeting in as it is from 1pm to 5pm - deep joy. This of course leaves me free on Thursday instead of travelling back and then Friday I have a meeting in Euston with people regarding a job we are doing around Wembley stadium, like right next to the stadium. Next week I have three days of meetings (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and then Friday we are off to Gatwick ready to fly to Barbados on Saturday. I am counting the days now, so looking forward to it.

I expect you get through a lot of bedding ZIZI with you changing your bed everyday,no wonder you have 7 one for every day, very useful. I stick to cream or beige polycotton, easy to wash and iron as I do not have an ironing fairy.Plus I have a quilted throw,so only we see our bedding. You keep your ironing lady busy ZIZI with all your bedding she must be a whizz with the flat, hot thing.

Zizi, not long until your holiday I'm not sure Zizi changes her bedding every day Libra, does she ??

Mimi, how nice to have some of your friends things to keep you occupied.

We had a nice day. We drove to the coast to a few different places, had lunch out on the way there and evening meal on the way back. We couldn't do much walking as my knee is bad. It was already in a bad phase when I hurt it carrying some toys downstairs on Friday, and then it became very painful. It's stiff and sore from the walking I did do today. Hope to rest it a bit tomorrow!

Whoops no Gem what made me think that, but she does change it twice a week, so good to have a selection. My brain is addled had my flu jab and now have an awful cold, plus a lovely cold sore developing on my nose. I swear there must be a link between the two, feeling utterly grotty.

Hope the knee starts to get better Gem.
Libra, hubbys friend refused his flu jab this time, because he says he always gets a cold within a few days of having the jab.
My SIL had her jab, then developed a cold a few days later.
I know the medics say there is no connection,it's just coincidence, but tell that to those get a bad cold within days of having the jab.

Yes twice a week the bedding gets changed and clean pjs every day. Libra my ironing fairy is a gem. I don't know what I would do if she decided she wasn't going to do it anymore and of course the likelihood is that once I cut my hours down in 2018 I may have to let her go. My goodness I will moan a lot then!!

Been on on my work email since 7.15 and someone who needs a good smacking has sent me a 12 page questionnaire thing on CSR from a client asking me to return it completed by 12 noon. When I have scrolled down the email chain he has had it for three weeks! Very annoyed. I have sent him an email telling him I am going out this morning and he will have to use another document I wrote and complete it himself. I am not going out so I am fibbing but the same person sent me a document a couple of weeks ago at 4.00 on a Friday telling me it needed to be completed by 9am Monday. On that occasion I did the document over the weekend but I have other things to do today.......

                                Hi everyone, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Unexpected free day for me as poor GS1 has a bad cold and his daddy has taken the day off to look after him I am sorry he is poorly, and sorry he won't be here with me to welcome any early trick or treaters.
Libra, I hope your cold is soon gone.
Last night I rested and iced my knee while we watched 2 episodes of DCI Banks! It did feel a lot better by bedtime. Not going to preschool for GS today means I can rest it more as well.
Good luck at the dentist Oma!
