Morning everyone, hope all who are feeling poorly and little people not quite themselves are feeling better today. Off to see 2 houses today, then grandparents coming to see us from East Sussex as they can't make a meeting date, so scones made for them, then off to rehearse the 'Bridge Song' for BBC music day. SO a quiet day

Nana - that is a disappointing result from the hospital. It seems a bit defeatist of the person you saw to say ENT always go for Silent Reflux! Can you get a second opinion?
Nanto - good luck with the scented candles. What fragrance are they?
Enfys - poor you. It's surprising how tiring invigilating is. General invigilating in the hall was bad enough, but doing IT exams was like walking on hot cinders in case we had computer problems. Having a cold must make it much harder because you're so conscious of noise - I hope it's soon better. I should imagine it's much harder now because there are so many more ways for students to try and cheat if they've a mind to.
Mimi - I hope your OH's day goes smoothly. How frustrating that he can't have the treatment locally.
Qwerty - how is J today?
Jane - good luck with the house hunting. A quiet day indeed!
It's dog training day for us. Oh has just gone off to do the supermarket shop while I catch my breath after a busy day with GD2 yesterday.

I am going to have my shower for the first time without help, they think I am ready to do without their help, I am not sorry because they come any time between 8am and 11.30am. I would also like to hand back some of the aides I have, they take up so much room. Next step driving, wish me luck. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Hi everyone
Plant how did the showering go? Good luck with the next step of driving
Good to hear little J is getting better Qwerty.
I looked after GS 2 today, DD went into work for a few hours. He is going through a growth spurt so fed a lot, and didn't sleep much! His mum came at 2ish and took him shopping while I collected GD from school. I fed her while DD gave baby more milk!
GD and I have a date at McDonalds after school in 2 weeks time On the way home today she told me she had been to McDonalds, to a friends party, the first time she had been, and how much she loved it. 'I wish mummy and daddy would take me one day' she said. This is a child who eats out regularly, but not in those sort of places. I told her we could go together. Well, you would think I had promised to take her to Disney World, she was so excited!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Plant - you're making good progress. Well done. I hope it's good news from the doctor tomorrow and you will soon be back behind the wheel.
Mimi - yes, it has been colder today, but it didn't seem to get any colder this eveing so I've left my bedding plants out in their trays instead of trying to cram them into the greenhouse overnight again. I must get them planted tomorrow, whatever the weather. I also need to get some of the tomatoes out in their troughs because they're outgrowing the greenhouse!
Gem - I'm sure you and GD will have a lovely time at McDonalds. Our GS2 (aged 11) went to KFC for the first time ever recently and he loved it, even though he's been to all sorts of other kinds of restaurants.
Qwerty - thank goodness J is a little better. The hope pipe scenario sounds horrendous, for you and him.
Nanto - those fragrances sound wonderful. I wish we had 'scent' software on our computers. It would be much nicer than Windows10!!
Avo - have a lovely time tomorrow with your GCs.
Eva and training - not good today, but I'll post on 'her' thread."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
